Uhm, from what I understand, she fed him blood because they have nothing, no water, no food, and she was afraid of death (her mother just die), she was afraid of having another dead corpse next to her, and being alone, so that’s why she gave him her blood. About whether the blood cure him or not, I have no idea. But in the book, it said after that incident, it took him months to be able to smell blood again. So I think he has PTSD from the 300 souls event, then kinda trying to tame it/know how to deal with it, then she fed him blood and that trigger his illness again lol.

He has PTSD. Because he saw the slaughter of 300 children (the blood, the snow, n the cats that was eating and licking their blood), so any of these will trigger him. And to calm himself down, he takes drugs, weeds/whatever addicted drug that relax/give you good dream to calm you down lol.
