No, it’s terrible lol. But the second plot line between DW and SFL is the saving grace for the series lol. I recommend you to watch their story only and FF the rest, unless you need a reason to hate WHD lol. I think we need to understand that a government of a country can be bad and wrong but not the people. I think the idiom is don’t judge a chopstick by its neighbour (?). A video can be demonstrating say a bad practice in China, however that’s not means Chinese are bad, it’s the situation they are in, government not doing enough, and the usual human greed (which is applied to every one disregarding of their race and where they live really). Like everything that is on the borderline of each country, where you see the merge or mix of cultures, and nothing is wrong with that, however the CCP is made all these out as just Han Chinese. Kinda like part of Korean history, there was Chinese influences, yet if they have any clothes resemble of Chinese, they are being called copycats. Instead of understanding culture is a complex issue, they make it out as it’s their thing only, everyone else is just a copy and not worthy.
Put it this way, up until now, at least for me, dunhuang is Chinese (Han Chinese to be specific), I can see a bit of the Buddhism from India in it but I just take it as Buddhism does go around a bit, and even in certain YouTuber video, she said come to China and check this out. But no one said that China captured this region and it’s not even over 100yo under Chinese regime, and that this is from the ethnic people of the region. Kinda like if Australian government dare to say these aboriginal cave art as Australian lol, you will see everyone will want to attach the word aboriginal onto it so we know it’s from the ethnic grp, and not some white dude lol
Wow, just saw a video on how the CCP is using UNESCO to rewrite history, and in it is dunhuang art style, which is from the Turks, ancient india, Tibet and other ethnic minorities. Basically it’s not Han Chinese one bit lol. I might get hated for this but credit need to be given to where it’s due.
