He was only old so RG can’t recognise him :) because he’s very weak and will die again, and he wanted to spare her of the second heartbreak, and putting herself in danger as AY palace will be after him if they find out he’s alive, and she would protect him because she feels obligated to :). His plan was never to reveal to her that he is still alive. He was only revealing himself after he made her forget everything

Lol, first 5eps, i cant stand QF, however, as the story goes on, she got better. The king falls in love with her because she really loves him, and he can see her loving actions. I cant go into details as its kinda ruin the story lol. But the king and QF's love is the best aspect of the drama lol.

Only one scene with blood come from the mouth lol. And it last only 3-5s :)

Lmao gore? Lol not at all, old style kungfu drama. How miserable is it? Uhm, it won’t be very heartbreaking depend on which couple you are on lol. It might be super heartbreaking if you are on the wrong side though. However we don’t know how the story ends yet, it could be different from the book, which make it mostly happy.

Vic is the male lead, ZBB is second despite his character meant to be third. Wayne meant to be second lead (he meant to be main lead in the book) however, so far, I’m seeing more of ZBB than Wayne lol.

I’m with you in a sense that I did not watch meteor garden. But I love mars, it’s such a touching story. And I agree with everyone about how Vic shows a various side of YX. It keeps such character refreshing. The episode where little Feng die, RG was hard broken, sure YX was forcing her head on his chest, but his eyes were full of pains, the pains of not knowing how to get rid of those pains for her, of helplessness. He just wants to hold her tight to make her feel better, and initially RG not 100% like that, but after a few moments she gave in and just cried. I guess he was a step in front of her, because like you said they just met. She can’t initiate the skinship even if it’s for comfort, because YX did not grow up with her like ZF or YZH. And as we progressed through the drama, YX shows his inner feeling: missing his gf dearly, having this girl in front of him that he just wants to shower love but must show as much restraints as he can. The bit where he recite the famous “boy asking girl out” poem, that was heartbreaking ????

But pistachio is yummy so it’s not bad lol. I’m more annoyed at the mid episode ads with all the support characters -.-

I don’t think she should end up with Bo Lin, simply because that’s just really shallow if she does. And the thing about their relationship, if delaying in marriage is the only thing, it should not be the cause of a breakup. I know you shouldn’t leave it forever, but you need other strong reasons beside that to breakup and move on. And like one of the reviews, Vic just acts as Wang Wei so well, that I couldn’t pick Bo Lin at all

Chen Feng's father is actually Ruge's father, their fathers are swore brothers. And yes, that makes Chen Feng the true heir of flaming hills. My guess is the owner of flaming hill offended the evil dude, so he switched the two children, killed/make one father die, tell the child the wrong side of the story, got the child to kill his own father. Since being killed by your own blood is the ultimate sadness in chiness literature >_>

I totally recommend it. First 5 episodes are kind a bit slow, quite a few unnecessary scenes >_> but after that, it picks up and moving quite decently. Can’t wait for more! The fight sequences are awesome, it has been a while to see such a satisfying fight sequence

This is when you read the synopsis and put them together :) and no, he does not do it because he is trying to protect her. In the contrary, he misunderstood her and led to their parting, as the Chinese saying: they are not meant to be, the universe is against them :)

I’m still watching but it has moved to the last on the list for me currently. N when I do watch it, it’s mostly fast forward!

Haha I know, I love him in his old white robes and hair style, his hair accessories were cool, too. Though it’s totally unimaginative ???? like I got it... it’s from theme “2 phoenixes”! I don’t like this silly jacket he kept throwing over himself, make him looks old for no apparent reason ????

I’m not holding high hope for it lol. Like princess agent, first half, lot of Yuwen Xue, next half - utter pointless >_> I’m watching beauties in the closet, and there were so many scenes between the main leads that you totally buy their love! It’s what I hope to see in UL >_< but YU Mama is playing us....

Yup, this show is a huge waste of time. I love Yuwen Yue, so the first part was bearable, and there are so many draggy unnecessary parts like you mentioned. Then the second half got hijack to be just about Shawn Dou. The ending was terrible, its like they run out of money >_> decided lets just end there. However, what i hate the most about this series? The glaring body double. They must think we are very stupid, because they constantly use body double for unnecessary thing, like seriously ZZL, cant even do a simple dialog scene without a body double do half of the scene for her? Idc about her time, or they cant pay her, but its annoying to go "1s of seeing ZZL's face" to "body double's back". I dont find her acting is that great, and with the amount of body double (the most ive seen in any drama), my opinion of her acting got even lower.

Seriously, the only thing good about this series is rongzhi and the costumes, everything else is utterly pointless. I get that rongzhi is trying to protect Chu Yu, but we barely get any lovey dovey scenes between these two, i know they mean to love inside and not show outside, but still, its like after 28ep, you wonder whats the point! And before the amnesia, there isnt many scenes worth rewatch either, or their chemistry is just total S! There are only 2 scenes i would go back n rewatch, and we are at 28! And seriously, the support actress has more air time than the main actress?! Another case of hijack like princess agent. Hype and its a waste of time. I will still watch it, but thats because song wei long is hot, even though his acting is a bit weak, but i will wait until it finished coming out. Though i guess it doesnt take too much of my time since i just FF irrelevant parts, which tend to be more than half the episode usually. This has so much potential, but it fell flat on its face after the amnesia part!

This series is a lot more satisfying than untouchable lovers! If you want a series with heart wrenching scenes, beautiful music, humour and light hearted, this series is a must.
