Just thinking about how bold the production team is to put 'THAT' in the episode 16 preview. They didn't even…
I really appreciated it and agree it was bold.

Any opinions on this drama? I can’t even finish the first episode for some reason. The acting, music, and plot…
I think you have to be in the mood. It is very character driven. I like it quite a bit for the lead couple, but I can't say all the friend group stuff interests me that much.

Why is the music professor encouraging Song Ah to go to grad school? Is it because she wants to utilize her organizing ability because we know she thinks SA "picked up the violin too late". I was a little confused about this.

Getting Dinner mate vibes here, both in good ways and bad but mostly good
I didn't watch Dinner Mates but I remember people being so unhappy with everyone but the couple, and that is exactly what my problem is with this show. But I like the main couple so much.

Why the timer is showing that ep 16 will air after 4 days?? wasn't yesterday's episode the last one?
There is one more episode. The week they aired episode 12, there was only one episode because production shut down due to Covid concerns and things got delayed. So, yes, hopefully everything will wrap up well next week.

Title It's Okay to Not Be Okay Spoiler
I just finished this and I am honestly tired of kdramas trying to follow the recipe. As usual, they had something…
I've actually been glad to see the plot twist be criticized even by people who generally liked the drama like myself. I actually think they could have have made this a lovely 12 episode drama and ended it around the time they did the family portrait. Obviously the pacing of all the stories would have had to be taken into consideration but it would have worked without "soap opera tricks". I still just shake my head at the whole nurse/mom thing. It was ridiculous.

I guess I m the only one who couldn't get into it.. It's just that..I watched the first few episode when it was…
Yep, it happens to me all the time. I generally liked this drama though definitely the first half more than the second. Sometimes it is the timing so you just might not be in the mood for it right now.

I am glad I gave this a try. Not a fan of unrequited love situations but looks like it might go in the right direction. The main couple is lovely and have a believable awkwardness.

lol I was one of both xD at 1st I was excited for IU then I saw the age gap and I was nervous it'd get weird,…
I do think there are different kinds of chemistry and it doesn't have to be off the charts for every drama. It can be sweet or sexy or even a bromance. I have not seen The King yet; don't know if I'll ever watch that one.
XingBack Aug 31, 2020
I generally don't mind an age gap if it involves of age adults without some huge power differential that is being abused. Having said that, I remember people going crazy about My Mister even though the production said it wasn't a romance. By the end of the drama, there were fans rationalizing how it would be okay if there was a romance between the two leads. Ummm no it wouldn't. I never once thought he looked on her that way.

I actually think the age thing isn't why a drama doesn't work...it is usually the writing and on occasion (Hotel de Luna) a lack of chemistry between the actors. When you think of the sizzle between Yoo Ah In in the piano drama (is it Secret Love Affair), you realize writing and the chemistry of the actors matters more.

8 excellent episodes in a row, something is not right here....
I'm knocking on wood right now. I don't hold any ill will against a drama that's bad from the start. That's my own fault for sticking with it, but I get deeply bitter about dramas that are good til almost the end and then screw it up in the last few episodes. Yeah, crossing fingers this stays solid until the end.

Should i watch this if i liked IOTNBO?
They are different genres entirely. I loved the first half of IOTNBO and liked the second half. The first half of Flower of Evil is really good so crossing fingers it continues to be good.

So if he's so obsessed with hiding his real identity, why is he also doing a metal craft thing in his new life…
When promoting this drama, either the PD or an actor said it was 80% melodrama and 20% thriller. I think they got this right. Sure, I want to know who the accomplice is, but I'm more interested in how all the relationships work out. In Signal and Voice, I think the 80/20 is the other way with them being more thriller. I loved Signal and liked Voice though it went a little long for me and the super hearing thing just annoyed me. Maybe this is just not your genre. With regard to Life on Mars, I've heard good things but can't watch on a legal site in my neck of the woods. However, it's an adaptation so all the K-drama writers had to do is not mess it up. (Yeah, some adaptations don't go well.)

Whoa that sex scene !! It's the most explicit sex scene I ever seen in a k-drama!! Hot, hot, hot... I think I…
I don't mean this to sound weird because I thought the scene was tasteful, but I like this more than when they make married couples act all cutesy all the time about sex. I realize they do this because of which station it is on and when it is airing. The drama didn't actually show that much but the way it was directed made it intense and sensual.

ML/LJG actually plays 2 roles and therefore as Bae HS, he is the loving husband and father, on the other hand…
Honestly, you just have to watch to see which way you go. I can see at the halfway point some people rooting for them and others saying, "there's no getting over that". The thing to consider is - at least at the halfway point - this is not a female lead who is just gonna take it. She can dish it out. Probably one of the most well-rounded female characters I've seen.

It has been an exception first half and am hopeful the writer can keep it going through the end.

Title Flower of Evil Spoiler
Does it make sense that he does not feel any human emotions yet he's trembling in fear of being revealed to the…
This is the way I see it: He is not emotionless but doesn't process them the way most people do. For example, he doesn't understand why his wife is mad at the hospital. She loves him but is mad at him...it just doesn't make sense to him. When he was back in the dungeon, he's starting to have a kind of panic attack so his body is trying to process the trauma the only way it knows how. I think it's better to not think about some diagnosis which might or might not be right.
