What matters is the douban score, not the views, especially as it didn’t have the budget and promotions to reach audience, it was also broadcasted in olympics, so we can expect that when it comes to views. As long as it had a good reception amongst its viewers. Other dramas you maybe thinking about had billboards everywhere and insane amount of promotions, so I’m glad this team pulled through even without that and the editing issues. Also, 12k people rating is not too small, popular dramas like dashing youth, ABAY and The Double opened with 17k, 12k and 13k raters respectively. JingTian being a reputable 85 flower doesn’t automatically translate to her working magic for a drama that didn’t have the materials to set it up for great success. Also, ZLH’s popularity has always been high and his popularity didn’t happen just because of his recent drama. In general, each person to their opinion, for mine and I think for some people that watched this, Love’s Rebellion was impressive pulling through with little to no advantage 👏

From what I see from the drama, FL (Nan Yan) has sacrificed equally. You said couple "willing to die"; keyword being willing and she has almost died, she doesn't have to actually die for it to be regarded. Unlike the ML, she is someone that might not resurrect again if she does die. All through the drama, she's been involved in the ML (JY) situation and protecting him from his Sect chasing after him. For eg, in the beginning, the Sect Elder almost literally killed her with thunder because she refused to give him up, told him to stand back and was willing to die.
Another situation happened again in ep 20 or so where she was in danger of being killed as she took the blame for a murder JY was accused of rather than giving him up.
First time he died, it wasn't any of their fault (it's the fox) and she actually volunteered to die for him first, rather than both of them dieing. But Ji Yang had more powers and already had plans to protect and die instead of her. After he died, normal ppl will mourn him and move on but she went through a harsh training for years to start killing demons just to avenge him.
This current news of him dieing, I haven't watched the two new episodes and I'm sure it won't be for her but to protect the world as he has Yin Zhu demons in him.
Even Jing Tian mentioned in their interview that ppl might think she is soo love brained, alongside JY. To me, it's been equal and most are looking for angst between them due to how smooth sailing it is so far. But in general, depends on your taste tbh, you might not like it esp as you already had doubts so it might do you good to watch something else instead

Sadly, this has been the schedule since it started airing. 1 episode on Wed and 2 episodes from Thurs to Sunday. They might do a fast track though when it gets to episode 30, so this might be the end of the wait period
