It is a nice drama, more like a slice of life. However, I think it might be lacking in some details when discussing about an issue, I expect them as a client to speak fully of all details and I expect the lawyer to milk those details in court too. For example, I thought it would be better if Giyeong talked about how he's been tested with passive kindness, his forced isolation in the family and all, but it wasn't mentioned, nor in the court where it could have helped a little too. Those important discussions are usually just glossed over between parties.
The drama also feels incomplete, imo. It'd have been better if they started giving the last case which is the actual climax of the plot attention few episodes to the end, but I think it started just within the past two episodes? It was abrupt, considering its importance.
I'd have also liked more screen time of some characters, and less screen time of some (eg, the radio dj) I don't really think she's that significant to the plot.
I also dislike how some actions were glossed over with characters acting unreasonable. The history of the sister's issue. Stepmom unreasonable obsession with keeping GY when she's obviously not normal in the head. GY's father just being a deadbeat and being blind to everything, even being passive towards things he knew, the Stepmom who should have been dealt with was also left alone. I understand not everyone would get their karma in real life, but still.
There's also that MIL and daughter in-law case in one of the earlier episodes which resolution pissed me off. I just feel bad for all the children involved in these cases.
Anyways, it's a good watch, I iked the friendship between the three, good acting and sufficient humour in the drama, it's a good one. But seems incomplete.
To be honest, the only few good/interesting things about this show is the eye candy and acting/character of KWK, and the few satisfying revenge. Everything else? Dunno man. It feels so frustrating.
Show started promising, gat me muttering shoot shoot in the first few episodes, fucked up, I know, lol. However, this drama lacks so much depth. It feels like it could have had a prologue because what's the explanation? What's the relationship? What's the history?
No depth to the characters, especially Lee Do, just a stoic, somewhat hypocritical dull character who's an ex military man who's supposedly gone through a lot and decided to keep off the gun. Okay, and? Moon baek character is still interesting and pitiful, however, even his background and villain origin wasn't explored.
Plot progress doesn't really make sense. Despite the fact that the gun terrorism situation is supposed to be intense and extremely serious, it wasn't portrayed as such from characters actions, most especially the police! They were just being dull, lost and all that, wouldn't have been anything if not for at least, Lee Do. We have huge screen time given to side characters, although I understand it deals more with people's reactions but still, main characters are called that for a reason, no? Especially the nurse plot that showed up at least in three episodes. The anti-climax pissed me off so bad cause what exactly was the purpose?
Even the so called emotional scenes here weren't giving, I'm like spare me all these bs. Saving people that don't want to be saved, like what's the point?? And what exactly was the purpose of that ending?? Some things don't even make sense, including some of the decisions made here.
I can't even remember all of my complaints but I'm definitely not satisfied with this drama except for the few good I mentioned earlier. Story was all over the place, it doesn't have a definite head nor tail. It's unsatisfactory and the writing was lacking so much. It could have been presented in a better manner considering its somewhat unique storyline.
However, contrary to some opinions, I don't think the show glorifies the availability of weapons. It may have seem cool in the first few episodes (at least, to me), but the last few episodes made it clear the horror that'll arise if everyone were able to access such. What the society would become and I don't think anyone NORMAL would want that.
Lol, this kinda pissed me off. What did I just watch? What just happened? ๐ Firstly, I'd say it's a unique plot. However, its execution fell short of it and just... No. It was giving low budget everything, even the acting, which I know the actors are good wasn't hitting. The overall mood is just... I don't even know what to say. The show is just so... Irritable? Lacking? Unreasonable? Don't even know what words to use. Just NO.
As someone who has lived in Africa their whole lives. Most of Africa is really poor. So it makes sense that anyone…
Intention? "Intention" that was originally referred to as a death sentence/exile from their perspective and reversed to as goodwill at the end? And digging a water hole for a whole year? Lol, please. It seems like you indeed don't understand and that's okay, don't bother to๐
As someone who has lived in Africa their whole lives. Most of Africa is really poor. So it makes sense that anyone…
I'm African, lived and bred in Africa and my environment is nothing like what was shown. If you've indeed lived in Africa, you'll understand how and why these stereotypes are ridiculous. There's no continent and countries without their negative and poor counterparts, however, people just don't go around mentioning other continents except Africa with tens of countries in it as a representation of poverty and lacking citizens, what the actual heck? What happens to mentioning actual poor countries in Africa or poor countries in other continents?? Don't prented like you don't understand what these sort of representation insinuate from their end!
I never thought it was a drama that addresses such an unconventional issue. Personally, it wasn't about freedom of love to me, it was more like forbidden. The fact that both father and son came to love the same person, while the love interests also blurs the line between the two different entity makes it complicated and more incestuous.
I do not support In's cowardly act or the Mom's overprotection. I however think Wang's nature is not befitting for that type of love. There's also the matter of his daddy issue which makes his interest in In actually blurry. Was he acting upon himself or acting through his father which was in him?
In may come across as cowardly and potrayed as a loser but I think if I were in his shoes, I'd make the same decision he made both times. To some people, happiness and freedom of love is too expensive, loneliness is the price to pay for giving up on such, and that's okay. Wang being expressive and unashamed too is okay.
To me, the ending was perfect. Good acting especially from Pond and Mam. Nike was good too but could have been better, dunno if it was him or his character but he was too passive.
It's nice, funny too. However, even as it's just 60 minutes, the episodes seem too long to me and it took a while to finish, I feel it should have been shorter. The plot was somewhat...too. It wasn't really exciting to watch, safe for the comedy. I didn't feel the romantic pairs as I should have, all the couples felt generic and lack chemistry to ME, maybe with the exception of the rookie couple though, lol. Anyways, it was an okay watch. Good acting too. Ps: I hated all the context they mentioned Africa and its potrayak, it was fucking annoying. Who tf told them Africa doesn't have good houses or schools? Anytime he spoke about his time there, it was like he was sent to a prison for a while or so, even the house he inhabited in was just so...wtf was that? As big as Africa is??
I think it was okay. I especially liked the character of Deonju. The romance in the genre got lost along the line, as it should, honestly. The feeling of emptiness the ML felt at the end was befitting though, that's how it should be.
However, it's unsatisfactory. The so called revenge and anti-climaxs were just there. It's dissapointing that they had a whole of 16 episodes to build and give proper ending to, but things were left ambiguous as if they didn't rate we the viewers. We have villians doing as they liked and then got an unsuitable ending to them. Also, I'll just pretend the pushing off that happened in the last few minutes were fragments of imagination. And what was that kiss too? Like the dead chemistry between the characters wasn't obvious enough?๐ I also didn't buy the FL redemption attempt cause she clearly made her choice at the beginning, she wasn't forced.
It had a huge potential but damn, it was missing the elements of what it was actually supposed to give. Some character depth should have been given to some characters too. Overall, it was good, I enjoyed it. Good acting too. And I'll say PHS and his character actually carried the show. I want to give it an 8, but that ending annoyed me, so, 7.5.
It's okay. The mystery kept me on seat, but the thrilling vibe to keep me yearning wasn't really there. I have some questions that weren't covered in the plot too. It's somehow unrealistic how she could have done all that without even leaving a trail behind, the crimes were too perfect. No CCTV, no trace, no marks, they didn't identify if she had any help, and she was able to do all that? I was also curious as to how she executed her killings and the aftermaths of her killings. I think the only thing that left an impression on me was the amusement park scene, it was something, I must say. Anyways, good script (the writer must be on something to write such, lol) but felt like something was missing, no thrill also. Good acting too.
I like it. It was nice, no unnecessary holdup on plot reveals, which is not common in dramas of this age๐ I long suspected the actual person who died, because the Princess being dead didn't make much sense to the plot. I hated how they tried to redeem the sister, she was evil in her two lifetimes like what the heck? PH or BY was just too forgiving that it doesn't even make sense. If not for that forgiving spree, the last situation in modern era wouldn't have happened. Rubbish. Anyways, not a perfect one, but good acting and script. I laughed so much, I like how the comedy wasn't forced.
I'm not a watcher of Thai dramas, but I decided to watch this on a whim because it seems mature with the acting, I wasn't dissapointed. Story was good, and good acting, especially from the actor, Pond. Although, I think the 25 yrs timeline may have been a stretch cause it's less realistic and somehow plot faulty. Also, there was too much focus on the conflict part, making it draggy. They're both mature with a mature relationship. It's good watch ๐
Phew. I have rants. First of all, what genre was this trying to be? Romance? Semi incestual romance? Supernatural? Mystery? Undone combo of the four???
For the romance which appeared suddenly like a thief at night; how tf did the leads even established enough connection for them to fall in love and for our ML to forgo his lifelong mission?? From a few interactions mixed with a some pint of intrigue to a full blown so called LOVE that makes them senseless and willing to make the die for each other???
What did the FL put in her stew to make two men crazy over her for no reason๐ the SML feelings can still be justified because it took YEARS, but the ML? C'mon.
I don't know why the writer also tried to whitewash the SML character after he took a whole villainous turn, like, what the actual heck??!
That aside, what is the genesis of the background problem exactly?? There's no explanation on who the snowman was, how he originated, if he's human or not, or whatever. There's no detailed explanation on how the painter successfully carried out his plan for long, how it originated and all. There's no goddamn explanation on anything that fvcking happened. Okay, bell. Bell and so fucking what?? What's the purpose?? To make them dizzy??
If not for the last few episodes, you'd think this was a romance, just to get hit with the half-baked conspiracy and supernatural plot suddenly. Was it an afterthought of the writer??
So many unexplained things. Okay, does it mean the ML was never named or what? I don't think he was called a name apart from Hongrang and those nicknames? There's also the case of the unnecessary In-Hoe character plastered beside him, what exactly was his purpose except for being impaired, showing worried faces and standing like a statue? He couldn't even stop the ML from his thoughtless escapedes. I thought he possessed some hidden abilities or som, smh.
Character wise, everyone were just behaving nonsensically. We have an ML with potentials but suddenly lost his brain for one rubbish love, he still carried the show somehow anyways. We have a pathetic SML who only exists for the FL and can resort to any extra and disgusting means to have her. Can't believe his ungrateful ass returned to ml's favour with those nonsense he did. We have a FL who lived her life for her long lost brother and did nothing except to exist for that, fall in love and cause troubles. We have a cowardly and heartless father who's stoic with no intentions of his known. There's a painter who's supposedly the main Villian but only had guest appearances until the last episodes. The group the ML worked for too???
Everything was just over the place. The writer could have tried to pick one genre and act it right! Damn, lemme nor utter some harsh words. Good acting, cinematography and OST though, the reasons for my generous ratings actually.
