Surprisingly, this wasn't to my expectations. Felt like my already little IQ were decreasing. The plot and storyline seems lacking, the fighting scenes and mission to change school was giving mini avengers. Last episode was missing more substance.
I'm also curious about something. If it was only a year ago the teacher/and the boy mom was killed, it doesn't correlate with the teacher's timeline of quitting private tutoring( it was mentioned she quitted years ago?) nor does it account for all of them changing in a duration of a year, the actors used for both teenage boy were different, you mean they grew overnight? While the actors for the villains remained the same with no change?? Maybe I missed it somewhere...
Anyways, good acting, good editing but the unrealistic-ness level of this quite annoyed me. And the tracks coming in to ginger some scenes considered as conquering? Lol. The teacher was also naive and unequipped compared to the aim she's trying to achieve. Not my cup of tea. Btw, I also saw some replies attacking those with contrary opinions to the majority, are y'all okay in the head? Wtheck π
I liked it, it was interesting enough. As usual, it has the writer's touch to it, I'll always recognise the writer's work, lol. However, I do not think it was a copy of its parents story nor do I sense the writer's intention to reduplicate it, infact, if not for some of the guest appearances (which were not exciting to me btw), I wouldn't be reminded of its parents story; they're entirely different. HP was good, RP was also good. HP atmosphere may be more exciting probably because of the already established friendship group, which is in contrast to RP but RP has its own befitting mood too. So, it's unfair to expect the same thing from both. They're different, so I don't really get the extreme comparison going on.
I liked the pace, it doesn't seem draggy to me or probably because I wasn't feeling rushed, lol. I liked how each episodes deals with different issues and development of the residents, I don't know how realistic the situations there is to medical settings but good acting and props.
I wished there was more depth to their personal lives though, but I guess the storyline actually goes by its title, lol. I also don't know the reality of hospitals hierarchy, but I was so frustrated with how they allowed that female colleague get away with all slyness, but the ending given to her was good π
All on all, its atmosphere is mellow. Good acting. Except that I'd have liked that the resident's personal lives were more in depth and the ending was more fuller(cause it seems lacking somehow to me), it was a good watch otherwise.
Ps: Contrary to most, I actually liked the main romance...π«£ Even if their development seems a bit lacking...I think they were cute, actually wished they were more scenes of them, lol.
I liked this one. However, it was lacking in many background details regarding the genesis itself. Also, it'd be miraculous if the dad actually survived those stabs, lol. Moreover, does that ending statement means that the FL hypnotized herself or was hypnotised by someone else for family matters or it was just a literal statement?π€
Anyways, good acting. I wished there will be less of these cliffhanging series. I'd just assume they all got caught and diedπ
Well, we have a textbook nice and flat character as a simping ML who'd do anything, who lives only for the FL, won't request for any apology and take everything she dishes while still entertaining her. And we have an ambitious FL who wants better for her life, confused about what she wants and further goes to confuse the ML too, giving him mixed signals while being stuck on some stupid promises which she didn't even keep on her own end while being entitled to him. The plot ain't engaging enough to keep me either too. Maybe it'd get better with episodes but dropped on my end.
Well... Firstly, I don't like the summarisation theme of this drama. Important and major scenes/events just got summarised instead of being shown. For example, I still don't know how long the main coupe dated for. Also, the two never interacted at first but just knew each other from afar, however, we were shown snippets which I didn't know if it was when they interacted beforebeing a couple(which was limited) or while they were dating, it's confusing.
We were shown how the guy from the second couple prepared for the anniversary but then was hit with 5yrs later after they've broken up. How?
The details of what happened in a while of 5 years too was nowhere to be seen, you mean to tell me he was living in the hospital for all that 5 years?? And without a proper job?? But they still managed to have money to buy a house??
When the brother died too, they could have shown us, but no, just the aftermath. All these, alongside many. I'm not saying it should be over detailed to the point of being draggy, but a drama should be detailed! Or maybe I was blinded and missed those scenes.
Secondly, I don't think chemistry existed between the main couple. Just textbook smiles, words of encouragement, kisses and allπ It was dry.
Thirdly, lack of communication. I disliked how the ML came back into the FL's life just like that without addressing the main issue, but apparently, the script was spun as the FL not being understanding π I'm also curious as to how the ML's phone was working perfectly but he couldn't reply to the FL's calls or messages for YEARS?? I also HATED how the SFL came back into the SML's life just like that! While being entitled and shii without them having proper communication before the so called breakup!
Fourtly, the second couple were eyesore. We have the guy crying and simping every episodes, both of them still living in the past. The girl was annoying and the guy didn't protest back enough to my likening. I skipped their scenes later on because they were so fvcking annoying. All that stress just to end up not being together at last. Rubbish.
FIFTHLY! I wasn't satisfied with PBY's acting here. Dunno, I usually like her work but this? Flat delivery. Her expressions were mono most times like she's self conscious on wanting to be pretty or maybe it's the makeup or writing? Dunno. And the eating scenes tooπ€¦ Anyways, her acting wasn't satisfactory to ME here.
Sixth. The characters weren't likable. ML was being a ML, not taking life seriously which is fine, but he's somewhat irresponsible too. FL ain't that to me either. Her behaviour towards her mother was just... somehow. Taking her so long to take notice was just bleh. Sijun was busy simping and being pathetic, maybe I could have liked his character without the romance. Maybe the brother complex character was intriguing though. I think I could relate to him and how he was lifeless. Others were just there too.
I think that's that about that. Nothing special about this. Many unsatisfactory factors. But it's a passable watch, I guess.
Well, it was okay. I'd say I was very entertained with the first half but the finals comes across as lackluster ;the anticlimax feels ain't really there. This made the drama seems longer/dragged.
Some things didn't make sense obviously. How quick day turns into night and vice versa (a very annoying reoccurring theme in K-dramas π), how quick they get to locations quickly, how tf the father even managed to do that (a spoiler), why the team leader was acting suspicious at a point, amongst many others. And btw, is the NIS setting realistic? I thought it'd be more sophisticated than that or the movies lied to us?π
It was entertaining but then just there, the ending was an ordinary ending, seems summarised, rushed and unsatisfying.
It was a good performance though, a great acting from KSR, especially. It's a good pass time watch, especially the comedy part.
Love it. The acting, the action, all good. May be unrealistic how he could survive so many fights but not really complaining π Giseok appeared for a short while but I liked his character, sad. The casting was okay, Villian may come across as soft to some, but I think he did well, he was a psycho. The kills were really brutal! Anyways, great acting and straightforward story, no unnecessary plotsπ
This was good. I liked it. The first half was thrilling, second half could have some with some shortening because I watched at almost double speed. I think one of the reasons I didn't think it was boring is because of the Imugi, he was so fun. The drama would have been nothing without him.
Bibi character was a good spice, he was naive and met his end, felt bad at his death. King character was a fresh one, a confident king who isn't afraid to show his emotions.
My feelings towards the FL is complicated. Like most historical FL, she's reckless and the righteous type, some of her actions was the trigger for some happenings. However, she's skilled but she's nothing without the Imugi's help. And her annoying 'it is my fault' mantra attributes which wouldn't prevent her from making other mistakes againπ
The Queen's demise was unexpected and it felt off how her death and mourning was swept under.
For how much the climax has been built for whole 15 episodes, the anticlimax at the end fell flat; the conquering, the thunder death(wtf was that evenπ), the waking up with no proper explanation. Even the execution of the cause of the grudge came across as lacking, it should have been more impactful because c'mon, this was an hundred year old ghost who dealt so much with the royal family π€¦
The romance is definitely not the main focus and I didn't care much for it either but what were those kiss scenes in 2025??? Also, the old monk character is for what exactly? A decoration?π
Some lacking storyline and plot, may have been draggy but I enjoyed it, mostly. Acting was good too, especially from YSJ, did a great job expressing two characters, one which I liked and the other, I didn'tπ Imugi and King definitely carried the show, I think at this point, my biased character has been revealed, lol
I didn't understand how their relationship progreessed so fast to the point of not being able to live without each other and all. I also don't understand why he'd do so much for her, buying a house?? Dunno, just didn't seem suitable. Some actions didn't make sense tooo. His and was sad but maybe lucky for him; away from all that suffering.
Well, It's just okay. Nothing special, seen plenty similar storyline before. And was the twist at the end necessary considering the duration? Lol. Good acting though.
I liked this one. I give the wife kudos for handling that more maturely and being kind to the girl; I don't think I would. The girl was also oblivious because how could she be so comfortable with making others uncomfortable. I don't know if she was being oblivious or just selfish.
It's a grey subject matter and complicated in the sense of matters of the heart. I do not support the husband, but maybe he couldn't help it. I feel bad for the wife for not having appropriate outlet to vent to by not having him there physically because he still cheated emotionally.
The actresses did a great job, especially the main, she potrayed all turmoil she went through well.
The plot seems promising, but the story premise seems like a cliche adapted from a book. I tried getting into it but couldn't. In my opinion, the acting to me seems like a textbook acting; the comedy, the overreaction, comic roles, subtle facial expressions and all that. Like, it's obvious that they're acting, a vibe I shouldn't be getting from good actors. This made them look like a soulless NPC cause it seems forced. Or maybe it is the direction. So no, I couldn't immerse myself in it. Dropped.
Lol, don't even know what to feel. Tbh, when it came out years ago and was hyped, I expected that it was brilliant. Watching it now, I was proven the opposite.
I'd say it started on a good pace, plot was clear. Fast forward, everything got messy. Things got unrealistic. Everyone started acting nuts. Things happened without being explained. Nothing was making sense anymore.
Wdym KSW appeared randomly took the place of the MC and died?? They never disclosed when he knew of the MC's act, they fixated on him sm that I was thinking he was involved in some of the operations too, but nah, nothing happened just for that ending to take place...?
Stance of the professor wasn't explained except focusing cameras on his micro expression. The police getting recruited into it easily, letting the MC go and even becoming his bestie?? Crazy reporter inducing crimes for her own sick sense of justice/entertainment/scope.
The 'good guys' could win over hundreds on men in a single fight without coming out with much scratch, what are they on? People getting to a location ridiculously FAST. MC not wearing mask and still not getting caught.
New plots getting introduced, old plots not getting roundup but unexplained. I don't know what the writer was on trying to cram all those plots inside an 8 episode series, like wot??
At a point, the word 'vigilante' was getting cringe to hear, like bruh. With all the mess created, they're still trying to eradicate bad guys at the end?? Let me just end it here. I think the only character I found interesting was the psuedo vigilante and maybe KSW.
I'm usually a fan of heroic and revenge plots, but this one? Things got out of hand and the avenger lost focus. It wasn't well made, my already low IQ felt insulted and I won't be looking forward to another season.
I'm also curious about something.
