Title Through the Darkness Spoiler
I like this. I'm actually impressed. The atmosphere of the drama is cool and suitable.

It's been a while I've seen a drama with unannoying main characters. The main characters here compliments each other, I don't find them annoying too. I also like the subtle but obvious character growth of the ML. The second ML is amazing too, keeping the ML in check while also being talented too. The female detective was also okay.

The cases and crimes were infuriating to watch but the way they were cracked and solved especially through the profiling was so intriguing and interesting. But maybe that's just bias of me cause I like criminal minds drama😁

The most frustrating of them was NKT, damn, I was also feeling that angry tension from my screen to my body. I get why it was the snap that broke the ML cause I also had to breathe and pause before I continued his scenes.

I like how the drama didn't focus on unnecessary things too. Or trying to involve different plot into it. Just a right amount of personal lives of sone characters, although it could have been more explored more but I guess they didn't want to derail from the plot. The storyline actually progressed and didn't digress and derailed, it's hard to see in drama nowadays. I'm satisfied that I even find the ads cool and not overbearing. I'm usually annoyed with ads.

One thing that bothered me the most though is that, most of these criminals had terrible father as childhood, even with their mothers being victims but then, when it comes to the gender they had to take their anger on, it was females. This is so disgusting and unreasonable. Cause why do females end up being victims because they were victimised before? It's so fvcked up.

And I actually question the authenticity of that first case detective degrees or education cause he was so unreasonable rash. His method of interrogation was completely wrong. I was wondering if he were a spy preventing the real killer from being caught, cause bro...
Also, that detective from the past too that transferred as a captain, dunno was he was introduced exactly. He was just there being annoying, disgusting, unethical and not really necessary to the plot.

I'm impressed with the acting, I think this is the calmest I've seen KNG played, but he did so well. Every other characters, the villains too, they all did so well.

Finally, kudos to the pioneers and all law officers who try to bring criminals to justice and all the improvements. Thanks for making the society a tad bit better. Thanks for their hard work.

I'm actually open for another season😊

Title The Killing Vote Spoiler
Sigh.
Another drama with a premise to be unique but poor execution. I'm feeling conflicted towards this drama. Some episodes were exhilarating, some were dull.

Firstly, they were many illogical parts and plot holes. Writer seems so confused, genuinely. I don't even know what directions the writer is trying to go. The last episode disasters could have been prevented but characters were just acting messily, with everyone behaving like they've lost some screws in their head. I think Jihoon is the most pitiful victim here. And I hated his last actions that led to his demise and the whole high school bully thing, but I guess it shows how desperate humans can be.

The drama is not exactly clear. How was the killing vote even set up? How were the voting victims selected? Why did Lms kill the foreign wife? To disrupt the Gaetal settings or what ? Their funding for electricity set up and everything, where did it come from? What later happened to the Number Gaetal in the police station? What did the Assemblywoman have against the detective for blackmail? Why did the reporter lied in not being abducted? Why were we shown the FL parents incident if they won't be going deep to it? What about the ML's mother incident too? And some more I can't even remember. What's everyone doing fgs??

Characters. I think the casting for this drama is poor. Firstly, the ML actor is so stiff and doesn't have emotions, I've watched some of his dramas and can confidently say this. He fvcked up a comedy drama and even a serious drama like this, he can't manage to be expressionlessly serious too. Face and body all stiff.
For his character, he's such a confused character, unlikeable too.

The FL is at least the only stable character there. Although, I think the actress is more suitable for villian roles, lol.

I have to compliment Kim Kwon though. I hated his character but was also admiring his acting. And he was confidently and shamelessly villainous to the end, I was hoping he would feel scared or ashamed at least😑

The cast. The cast have no fvcking chemistry bro. Everybody dry and dull. Even their attempt at comedy and 'family moments' fell flat. Can't feel nothing. They don't even have aura as polices. At least, the detectives in this drama were smart(or maybe only the cyber?) Although, it seems kdrama detectives won't stop being recklessly forward by going into dangerous situation alone, I don't know if that's how it is in their country.

What was that sudden romance in the last episode too? I know they want to advertise the restaurant but c'mon, that was a poor choice.

Side characters were just there too. No context, nothing nothing. Even the ones worth exploring with stories.

It's just too messy bro. And whatever they're attempting with the ending, I won't be part of it.

It's a nice drama. Good directing, acting, osts and surprisingly, the touch of animation too. It was well done. I don't think it was done for mainly profit making just from the atmosphere, it has personal intimate touch to it. The length was just okay too. I like it. It was emotional.

I like it. It's very political, so if politics bore you, don't watch. I don't like politics either but I think the drama met me in a suitable mood, lol.
The campaigns were interesting, smear campaigns, not that so. But the PR from both sides were impressive.

I like how the winners also had their own struggles, not just a platter handed to them easily as protagonists halo (although they had some protagonists halo) it was a tight win. Could have become something else.

I like the character development of our FL too. Although I think she's a hypocrite. She wasn't good and she admitted it. It's good that she's serving her time.
Other females did well too. OKS was s formidable character.

It's disappointing that Carl Yoon goes Scot free, not even a confrontation from Jaemin.

Good acting and ost.
Not a perfect story. Also has some bland characters, especially the FL's husband with that bland face of his. Not a fan of his acting.
I also don't know what they were trying to achieve with that ending. S2 will be unnecessary.

Title Love in the Big City Spoiler

Alright, thanks😊
I could see Eunsoo wasn't as happy as he claimed for his engagement.

Title What Comes after Love Spoiler
I liked the premise and the beginning.

However, I think their issue was small compared to the aftereffects it caused.
Maybe it was regrets for what they could have been. Thesee two were hung up for a whole 5years. Does that mean if they didn't come across each other later for closure, they'll still be heartbrokenly depressed for 10+yrs??

I was surprised at what caused the heavy breakup. I was thinking a large issue. Granted, what caused their breakup was crucial too, very, but I didn't think it was enough for the whole post breakup dramatic depression. It was pathetic. I'll excuse that on lack of closure though, even that ain't enough excuse for a whole 5 years.

The Ex plot wasn't that necessary because she broke up with him then suddenly came back pinning for him. As for MinJun, I didn't pity him much because he saw it coming, he knew it. But was in denial. Love make one do stupid things cause I can't understand staying with someone knowing they don't love you, being in denial.

Acting is good. Story was interesting at first but the years of the post breakup depression dramatic made it seem off for me. No characters were likeable. A moderate watch though.

Title The Atypical Family Spoiler
Honestly I agree with a lot of points that you made but especially the 2nd point, he neglected his own child for…
Ikr! I was angry with all of them because even the FL's intentions towards the child wasn't pure at the beginning. What if she'd hurt her? They all neglected that poor girl and her father's actions vexed me so much. I could see the writer trying to redeem her father's arc but failed terribly. The child was being a child by forgiving him so easily. They were all to irresponsible. I think the drama seems unique to people because of the time travelling theme, but well, everyone's different.
On The Judge from Hell Dec 18, 2024
Title The Judge from Hell Spoiler
This started off intriguing and unique, then it got annoying. Why? The romance.

I liked the character's model given to Justitia and I can definitely see her in Kang Bitna. I understand she may need human feelings for her to get a character development but I don't think it was executed properly.
Justitia is a demon of 400+ years old who's cold and unfeeling. Make it make sense why she'll fall so HARD in love with a human just within weeks of meeting him. Love that clouded her judgement, influenced all her decisions and rapidly changed her. It was too fast. Unrealistically so. Why can't we just have a cold selfish character that is ruthless but may evolve humane bit by bit?

I disliked how she gave the criminals light sentences just because she wanted to kill them(she could have sentenced them properly but kill them later by exporting them out if prison or something like she did to one villian, killing two birds with a stone) but that's Justitia. She doesn't gaf and is only selfish. But then soon, it started to seem as if she lives only for Han Daon. Han Daon this, Han Daon that, I even got tired of hearing his name.

As if the sudden love fever ain't enough, the love interest had to be a pitiful, saint by the book, dull doormat. He doesn't complement the FL at all. They're not a power couple. She's just like a mama bear to him and he's just there, being stupid, self pitying, crying and taking reckless actions when he can. I don't know if it's the character or the actor, but there's no aura at all.

I don't know and I don't care if they had chemistry or not because I was busy skipping their scenes.

Romance out. Demon theme next.
We're talking demons here, who'd been in hell for eons. So, why do they seem to be so easily weakened and laughable? Why were they so adapted to human world, trends and the technology? Why were the demons convictions so weak? The ranks thing seems laughable too; A whole Satan so easily defeated. What a child play. And the whole angel-demon collaboration was laughably amusing, looks like a fairytale. The CGI wasn't giving too.

And I don't even know what to feel about how demons are able to enter a church and avoid the cross burns just by wearing sunglasses and how a demon can become so easily religious. What is the writer trying to say exactly? Lol.

I also understand product placement is important but cola was almost shoved to our faces almost in every scenes, wth 😂

Also, I think the court was too disrespected in this drama. FL drinking in court was annoying to watch and some of her actions just to prove 'badass.' She could have been badass while keeping court etiquettes too.

Let me not go into how irrational and stupid it was for the lead detective to hunt a serial killer by herself. Or how everyone was looking the same as 25 years ago.

All in all, first few episodes were good. Personally, romance ruined the drama for me. It turned into a child's play. And the whole sudden bad-turned-good-compassionate didn't work for me. It could have been executed better; slowly. The plot was unique at first, but then derailed from what it wanted to be. Just became a sunshiny family reunion drama.

PSH's acting was spectacular and some others were good, as for the ML, not so much;the drama could have done better with none, in my opinion.
I like it. It's not an exactly accurate movie; the love at first sight thingy and all.
I hate cheating. I don't like it here either but I understand her wanting to be selfish when she's dying. Her relationship with her husband has been on edge for long because of her illness and the husband has always felt sorry for her and viewed her as a patient but the boy treated her like a woman, probably why she felt for him easily, he made her feel long lost spark. Also, she didn't have much time to have bonded well with her son, rather he's bonded with his father and grandma, there's that too. Her decision will definitely hurt the husband and kid, although she SELFISHLY did that because she felt sorry for them.
Their shamelessness while cheating is to be studied though, lol.
