Definitely was! Technically it wasn't really marketed as a BL, but more to the soap opera/ lakorn fans. It's a good way to introduce the idea of BL to that segment of the market. Just like how Miracle of Teddy Bear brought it to Ch3's audience which is not really the BL demographic.
Madam Li got poisoned and shot multiple times but still able to pull off a 7-minute speech T______T the writers…
With the length of that speech they could have brought the car around, loaded her up, gotten her to the hospital, sewed her up and she'd still be talking :D Amazingly she didn't address each member of staff personally :D
They didn't start something and just threw the curve ball at you after. It was there from the beginning. The relationship was so organic. Koichi never forced Mitsuru to become his friend. He wore him down so nicely. Well done. One of the best for 2022. Up there with Miracle of Teddy Bear, Love in the Air, and Choco Milk Shake. Truly one of the best.
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I preferred the Ep 10 ending better. Ep 11 definitely felt a bit tacked on…
Exactly! Ep.11 felt just like fan service to give the people what they were asking for. I'm happy with either end, but hte impact of ep.10 ending in that was was just lessened.
Ep.3. That phone message scene has to be the funniest thing in a BL for a while. So perfect! I rewound and watched and just kept laughing every time! The dance scene was epic. Mirroring Gaya Sa Pelikula's (Like in the Movies) prom dance it had almost the same impact. Well done GMM! I thought this would be the slam bam, teen angst BL, but it's shaping up quite nicely.
This had the potential to be among the best Thai BLs for 2022. It was formulaic and full of tropes, but the characters were good and the situation was well-established. The failings came when the characters were not well used. Rajin, for example, should have been introduced from the start. The plot of wanting her son to do such a favor was quite brilliant but fell very flat. The secondary relationships went nowhere. How did the junior suddenly come into the picture? Where did they meet? How did that relationship develop? You can't just dump these two people together without background. So many unused threads that went nowhere and added nothing to the plot. In the beginning, we see Ai with a guy. Was he meant to be a playboy? He tells Nhai he was only in two relationships. Come on Ch3. Did you give us a BL classic Miracle of Teddy Bear then this?
Wasn't expecting much from this one, to be honest. Another high school love story. However, in ep.2 the character development of Tinn is quite good. Hopefully, they keep this up and we can have a good coming-of-age story that is among the best.
These some badass women….my kind of lakorn(soap opera). Somebody did their proper research on BLs. We bl purists…
What originally drew me to it was the cast. They are some of my fav Thai actors. I really wasn't expecting it to be really good, nor bad. The first thing that drew me in was young Yang's unwavering support for what his brother wanted to do. He sat and looked at his portrayal of the play. I really wanted to see the development as they grew and their dynamic was never changed! They had the absolute best sibling relationship in any BL, followed by Daonuea and Khuafah in the Star and Sky series.
Lol..I’m sorry but it took Li entirely too long to finally die. She spoke to everybody but the cooks and the…
Yeah, that's what you get in a lakorn! I was thinking with all this speech they could have gotton her from Samut Prakan Province to a hospital in the middle of Bangkok at rush hour and she'd still be speaking to the rest of the cast! Couldn't be a more classic lakorn move!
No regrets! Is it flawed? Yes, it’s a very typical lakorn with the annoying bickering and some corny fighting…
The chemistry among the actors is, as you say, what really made the show. The bonds felt real. I loved how Tongtong and Film felt like real brothers. Tang really felt like the matriach with his interactions with his children, wives and servants. Even the kid actors were quite good, bonding with Tian.
Incest relationship???. does this series have happy ending??
No incest. The 2 brothers have a very close relationship that is supportive and absolutely non-toxic considering the sub-plot for what their mothers think each station in life is supposed to be.
Overall, very good. Sometimes it gets a bit boring because of the repeating things but it did not disturb the…
Time had to be padded, and it's a lakorn so it's obligatory to have those long close-up of faces dripping with emotion :D Jia's guilty face, for example, was so amazing that it almost became comical.
How could so much emotion fit into 17 minutes? How? How? How could we love characters that we have only spent less than 3 hours with? How could Strongberry get a cat's and dog's personalities so right? Ep.10 had the same emotional pull as Futurama's Jurassic Bark! Amazing! I never thought there'd be another episode of any show that would elicit that sort of emotion! Rant of a pet owner ;(
