So, this drama needs a tragedy tag. I am feeling cheated right now. HIStory dramas were always a safe zone for me. I never had to fear that it would have the typical ending, we see most of the time in LGBT dramas or movies, were one party dies. Well, this is no longer the case. If I ever decide to rewatch, then I will only watch the first 18 episodes.
Watched the first 2 episodes raw and I am quite intrigued. I was reminded that Zhu Ya Wen is one of my favourite Chinese actors..I hope the female lead will stay strong throughout the whole drama and won´t suddenly lose her wits later on. I really hope that this drama will be subbed.
So far, I enjoyed the four first episode a lot. I wouldn´t call it a masterpiece..as there are some little things, that in my opinion could have been handled better. But I love the little funny scenes during the episodes that give a balance to the political happenings. The acting is also on point.
This drama had a lot of potential. Some of the characters were portrayed really well, but the editing is a messs! It is choppy, the scenes are simply jumbled together. Too bad.
I loved the first episode!! The acting was spot on. There was no awkwardness between Earth Katsamon and Nine Nopparat Phatthanakun which made their love believable and thus their ending really tragic..I normally don´t cry so easily..but during the first part, I cried like there was no tomorrow.... I am really looking forward to the next episode.
I am loving it so far, thankfully this drama is being subbed. I watched the last eps raw and can´t help but wonder if they suddenly had to cut it...I was really looking forward to the remake of the last scenes..how they were going to tackle it in this Chinese version, and I am still reeling,,,because this was so easy and fast...all the anguish and emotions felt in the original version never had a chance to make an appearance in this one... Well..I´ll wait for the subs, maybe it will make more sense then...
This is a One-Time watch for me. Something was missing, a "spark". It might be the script, as the movie felt like several small glimpses into the lives of the characters, than one continuous, complete storyline. When it comes to the acting, while Nakamura Joe seemed to fully embrace his character, there were some scenes where it felt as if Kondo Yohdi was not really into it, or it could have been the character he had to act as. It is not a bad movie, but not one that makes me say "wow".
This drama grows more and more on me with each episode. Most of all, there is nothing cringeworty, be it the script or the acting. Some of the other BL dramas had me cringing all the way and I had to fastforward..here it is the opposite, I rewatch the scenes.
Episode 6 shocked me...I did NOT see this coming..lol..2 dramas are airing, where the groom is not the person the bride expected it to be...O_O Subs are really needed to understand what is going on.
Nontheless, I love the main song, the atmosphere, the clothing and the colours of this drama...

The romance wasn´t really developed, you could figure out the bad guys easily enough and one character made an 180 turn from one moment to the other.. O_O I am still feeling the whiplash. I wonder if they had a change of scriptwriters gah..it became ridiculous!
I liked the first episode so far. Personally I´m waiting for the next episode, before forming an opinion about the last minutes of episode 1. It could be simply a "cliffhanger" and nothing besides the kiss happened...
