This show is "essentially" a parody so you're going to see EVERY trope

In that one, the FL goes BACK to modern times and they show her being all depressed as she goes back to work etc. (in that one SHE was the creator of the comic) and then she realizes she CAN change the ending and continue the story (or something? 😅) so she starts drawing it again as a Season 2 comic and she's transported BACK into the comic able to change the end by kissing the dead ML back to life - Happy Ending, she apparently lives there now?

Unspeakable Longing - I'll spoil that ending below in a spoiler.

Yeah they're pretty much setting you up from the beginning but I saw one mini recently that had a different ending than stereotypical (the logic made no sense but whatever 😅) so now I'm wondering if they'll be able to do something similar.

There ARE actually two screenwriters. The concensus seems to be that the original story was basically a 24 ep plot but after signing the leads the production team decided to expand the story.

Finally finished the first 12 episodes and it's SO good 🤣. Love the trope digs and parodies thrown in, the crazy character cast like the shipper sister and the unbelievably good music.

The FL laying out the "perfect romance genre plot formula" of "sour, sweetness, bitterness, and spice" was both real and funny at the same time.

😅 Look I'm not "complaining" but I'm VERY confused how the airing schedule suddenly decided instead of being on ep 21/22 today it's now updated to ep 26 😂 Does that mean tomorrow will finish the story with last 4 eps instead of ending on the 29th?

I was telling myself "No, I need to finish SOMETHING before starting this" but even though I'm loving Be Your Knight (the show I was trying to catch up on when I gave up) my mind wouldn't focus so I gave in and I've been watching it since. On ep 5 and have been snorting with laughter in each episode loving every second. Best decision ever 🤣

Oh! Yeah that would make sense though I'd have just called it a "skin graft". Like they made it seem "magical" and the time to heal/recover was VASTLY reduced 😅 but in theory it was within the realm of something that could happen in real life.

I gave up and started this 🤣 That clown show of an opening credits! I love it!

Dude I am STILL trying to grasp my head around that scene 🤣 Like he SAW her deliberately seducing his brother, recognized it was absolutely her, saw his brother trying to hold back.... and then was like "oh well, I like her, she can do whatever she wants I guess??? 🤣"
But then he makes that statement when dude tries to warn him about her that "he can give his brother anything but the FL" like it's HIM trying to go after HER 😅🤡.

So far the only "complaint" is the CGI in one of the later episodes 😅 - I don't want to spoil it but I honestly felt like we have better cgi actions and effects on our free to use cell phone video editing apps 😅

Now through 18.
1. This show is going to have the romance "reset" in a way a couple times throughout. Overall it's been strong.
Through the ep 12 i was originally at was present day "beginning" storyline and they made their romance believable that they could be falling for each other.
Currently the storyline is in past events and how they met the 1st time and again, the romance is so far slow and believable.

2. No Love Triangles (so far) for ML/FL in past or present times. 2nd "CP" is a "triangle" - Present day 2FL is engaged but used to be in relationship with 2ML. Past for them haven't seen yet.

3. "Technically" 😅 one of the guys is obsessed with her in present timeline but it's more proving she's a Ji and not that he's "obsessed lusting" .

I watched this as it was airing, rewatching scenes and episodes multiple times. I was a bit obsessed and I like that you had the bravery to try and put these thoughts into order because I agree with a lot of the statements you made. She is definitely a VERY messed up character, fully and completely willing to use him, profess her love for him, and then drop him and deliberately try and make him misunderstand her relationship with Zhao Ming.

She shuts down once the order is given for him to marry Zhao Li and they never have another "real" conversation again until they're discussing her possibility of leaving with the baby. She has opportunities to ask him for HIS side of the story and not trust some random jealous woman.

From that first scene where he's pointing the sword at her during the massacre he tells her that she doesn't even know who her enemy IS. She looks at him and hatred grows as she decides HE is the enemy, but yes, while he stood back and could have helped and didn't that doesn't mean HE killed her family.

She also time and again uses all her knowledge about him and his past traumas against him. She knew about his dead mother and repeatedly brought her up in the first part. She could have slowly tried to remove herself from his life but instead she chose to deliberately state she was leaving. Later, when she first tries to end herself she stages the scene for him to walk in on her in the same manner of which he found his mother dead.

On a different note though, I think I saw Zhao Li's last conversation with her slightly differently. You seem to think she was looking for as reason to live, I'm not so sure. She was feeling guilty for being the reason her brother was killed (honestly if anything I wish our clueless FL had realized what everyone was doing and saying behind the scenes because Zhao Li is absolutely the reason Zhao Ming died then.) This girl essentially went "I'm going to make up a story that ML is going to kill FL so that my brother can go save her. Once she's out of the picture she won't be in my way anymore and I'll finally have the ML all to myself". BUT that's obviously not what happened so she's in front of the FL trying to get an answer from her on "what to do" but if you rewatch the scene, Zhao Li basically isn't paying attention to what's being said to her, she's just responding on automatic. Basically there is no living well going forward for her. Her reality is that the man she was engaged to, killed her brother, because SHE told a half-truth to get what she wanted.

His mother IS the "madam" 🤣
