I liked the Thai version a lot but I love the Japanese one. The chemistry and the acting are on point. Better…
I loved the beach scene. When Ai is telling his story and laughs, like victims of difficult past sometimes do to prevent the others and themselves from seeing how terrible things were in fact, Masato says Don't laugh. That is real comfort and deep understanding. Victims of trauma do everything possible to avoid attachment in order to be safe, but the unconditional love that Masato is giving is the answer. A good therapist will solve the rest.😊 An than, the invitation to love.❤

I liked the Thai version a lot but I love the Japanese one. The chemistry and the acting are on point. Better cinematography than the usual Japanese BLs. Also, many BLs are trying a psychological approach but Ai's character is well shaped and played. It is not as good as Atuo from Secret lover but quite good. With Atuo we don't have the lack of trust in love generally but more nuanced insecurities coming form the abandonment issues.

I don't understand why people are saying that tanwatrin ain't good match when tanwa is basically dragging trin…
But Tanwa also needs some boundaries and stability and Trin can offer that. I think they need to meet in the middle.

I do feel the same about them 😭 one of them (if not both) are plotting something that might end up hurting…
Both are definetly conflicted and there is this dissonance between who they really are and the roles they have to perform in their families and in the society. So they will need to make difficult choises. But let's hope there is no plot behind designed by any of them. I also felt something with Klai but that would really break my heart.😔

This show is getting better and better. And this so much more than a BL. It is actually what we've been expecting from BLs for such a long time. The story, the cinematography, the every day life is so well depicted and linked with the social, political and cultural context. All cast is great, but Apo is such a good actor and so immersed in his character who is an observer of all these changes that are about to happen, starting to understand the complexity of it after he was so sure he got everything from theory and living abroad. And he is so beautiful, the era (60s-70s) suits him so well. Mile does a great work being Tanwa who also has an interesting story and I was very emotional seeing the scenes with his mother today. I'm fine with waiting for 2-3 years for their comeback if this is what they deliver.

Title Secret Lover
I just finished episode 6 of Secret Lover and my heart is heavy for Han Tuo.In therapy culture we are surrounded…
Very good analysis! Ep. 7 will introduce a new factor. It looks like he will be actively chased by someone more mature and with authority. Will Han Tuo act like the BL character we usually encounter? Realistically, how much would one be able to recognise love and connect when he didn't have it when he needed it the most from the person who should have taught him in the first place?

It’s only episode 3, and I’m already deeply immersed in this series. I love the story and the cinematography. I wish I knew what Trin wrote in his notebook after reading those books.
Trin and Tanwa are so cute. Their differences only enhances the attraction for now. Tanwa’s return to school was just too sweet. But what I really appreciate is that this story isn’t only about them, it’s told through many perspectives, which is so refreshing.
Some scenes are simply stunning. The silences, the glances between characters, the sense of calm before the storm, a certain state of soul. Beautifully done.
While I’m following what’s happening between the leads, I’m also completely hooked on the love triangle. What will happen there? I feel for both Dhevi and Naran.

Title ABO Desire
Luckly, there are some scenes at the end credits that I am looking forward to. They indicate that the story will move on eventually. For the past few episodes it was really frustrating. It looks like Hua Yong is more possessive than in love. I hate when, after he floods Sheng with pheromones and makes him sick or he stands him up for the tenth time, he's waiting at home with a smile and a new soup. Psycho vibes. It's like he's playing with a mouse, keeping Sheng in total darkness...even if it will be for his own good. Great topic, great cast, limited plot and no dynamics for the moment. Don't get me started on the absence of the second couple today and lack of progress there. Anyways, I hope that the beat will drop soon.

This is not a bromance. This is a BL without explicit display of affection. The proof stands in the difference between helping your best friend find someone he likes and getting jealous when a girl is hitting on your "brother".😊

So are you telling me after LITA, they now made a remake of Love Sea? Are Japanese after every series of our beloved…
I also think it's great! Let's not forget that the reverse is also happening with Cherry Magic and Ossan's love.

On Revenged Love Aug 13, 2025
I will just put it out there now that is over. At the beginning, for me it was WSW all the way through just until Chi Cheng started to grow on me with taking care of WSW mother, dealing with WS, the breakup, the family, the prison and loving WSW more than himself. And now, after looking for the tree, he really set a new standard for how a top loves and protect his bf. Not to take anything from WSW, especially after ep. 23, but Chi Cheng just melt my heart and I will not recover easily.

The biggest crime that this series has committed is making the last episode 30 mins AND no kiss scene. Gosh ending…
I didn't realised it until you said it actually. Maybe because the intimacy and the chemistry between them was still at a high level.
On Revenged Love Aug 12, 2025
This was the best series for me in the past year. Very close are My stand in (2024) and Heart killers (2025), most probably for the same reasons.

The idea that love can transform you as a person. It can make you go from doing bad, real bad things (please be patient with Chi Cheng especially) to making selflessly good things for the person you love. Way and beyond, over and over. Actually, both Chi Cheng and WSW become better persons because their strong love for each other. This is what you want ideally from the other person. To lift you up, to give you the hope for a good life, when you didn't think you deserved it. I am very emotional as this finishes so I might be overinterpreting while I only saw the series, not red the novel. Then, good scenario, plot out of the typical cliches, very good acting. Plus, it had tragedy, comedy, unexpected turn of events and carachters.

It also offers some lessons worth learning while you’re young. With WSW and WS, for example: don’t fill your head with ideas that aren’t supported by evidence and don’t take what someone says at face value. Seize the day, losses in life will come anyway. If you catch even a glimpse of possible happiness, fight hard for it. And don’t cater to people who aren’t living your everyday life with you.

It is not a perfect series but it takes you to a different state of mind and soul.

All my love to Tian and Zi Yu. I hope they know that because of them, the characters will live in our hearts for a long time. I hope they keep all the good memories from this experience as well, we could see how challanging it was. I will love them forever! The same for Zian Xuan and Liu Xuan. "Your only job is to love the world and my job is to love you". Perfectly delivered. They gave us a place to rest as the main couple faced their storms.

All I can say is that, after this,
Monday is gonna become boring again.
On Revenged Love Aug 11, 2025
I have to admit, I was hoping WS’s character would evolve differently, but the writer or director didn’t give them enough space or clear backstories. Their arrival just to make fun of WSW felt a bit random and unnecessary—just my opinion.
Replying to DalekFord Aug 11, 2025
The shock of ”I hate you” in that moment was far greater than “I love you”The reason CC said it is because…
Yes! This is exactly what he hates him for. But I also think the scene shows that he hates himself for not being able to protect WSW, and for how hard it is for him to need and accept protection from WSW. On the other hand, when WSW says, “Because we are family now,” and refuses to get help from anyone else, it shows just how much he has grown and how deep his love and commitment truly are. Chi Cheng actually agrees with this, and that moment was very touching for me. Their love reached a new depth, the kind only families share. Chi Cheng leaves because the love and self sacrifice WSW shows is overwhelming him or maybe he just don't want to cry in fornt of WSW.

You must be new to the bl world haha
I didn't watch anything before 2016 I think. I mean I watched a lot of western LGBTQ movies and series before that, like Queer as Folk or Looking but not from East. Actually I was just thinking how Chi Cheng resembles Brian from QaF. So I would love like 3 good BLs from that era just to see how it all evolved, both in terms of stories and cinematography.

You must be new to the bl world haha
Indeed. I started at the beginning of 2024 and I only watch the series, I was not following the actors or anything in between. But I have to say this year there have been so many good BLs and couples with chemistry over the roof that I am starting to get immersed into this world. I knew that Zee and NuNew were a couple in real life and that's what got me thinking. It was an honest mistake though.
Replying to MariaConceioFigueiredo Aug 10, 2025
what? You are confused. What does NuNew have to do with this series? Seriously
Sorry, I saw their series months apart before and the actors kind of looked the same to me. Now that I am seeing this show immediatly after The next prince I realised that there physically quite different, I didn't understand why the actor playing Thap doesn't have Zee muscles. 🤷‍♀️ But all clear now.
