Avsolutely great acting in this series! I will point out Nine for this episode. And yes, you can have trauma and still end up not being a good person. I am curious though of his character development.

I love stories about a bad boy gone good his through love. Ing was deeply hurt during childhood, but Yok will save him from his bitterness and loneliness. I also think he genuinely cares about his brother. It is already clear he is not that strong as he wants others to believe.

Watching him say I love you, kissing you was like going back to when I was a kid and had my first meal. That would move a mountain. I hope Lin Zai redemption will be at least as big.

Definitely. Lin Zai seems educated beyond his intelligence and I say that in the most kind way as I hope he will regret and totally redeem himself, should the writer allow.

Your analyses is very good. To cut some slack to He Yao, in difficult times, most of us are on a survival mode and morals are usually under debate. What we would normally do is different what what we would actually do in such circumstances and even more different if we have the opportunity of doing it when no one is watching. We may find a rationale in his case which stops for me when his brother doesn't actually want to be saved. This is for the sake of the argument of course as we all think we would never do that given the skills and the opportunity.

But Lin Zai is not fully aware of the danger as he never had to be with a loving family and a protective boyfriend trained to survive. But he will come around. I am just hurting for A Lie who is learning love the hard way. I hope Lin Zai redeems himself in beautiful way.

In terms of toxicity I agree, but Deep In was a lot better series, closer to art, in my opinion, and very innovative as well as psychological deep. Not to compare actually, I like both. This episode was definetly the best so far, very carefully put together, gradual revealing of the story while the writer took a very delicate approach to their relationship. I am rooting for Ji.

Who wrote the last episode? It honestly felt as if the writers suddenly quit. 😭 I loved the final scene, though, and I really hope we get to see them again.
What I loved most about Mok and Hui’s relationship was the way Mok loved him, so disarmingly, almost against his own will. He kept trying not to fall, trying to hold on to whatever distance he had left and yet he was already, inevitably, falling deeper. There was something incredibly tender about watching someone fight a feeling that had already quietly won. ❤️

You're spot on about their backgrounds and I really like your analyses. But that’s actually why I feel so much for A Lie. Survivors operate on pure instinct, so possessiveness becomes an armor. Asking to talk was out of character for him, I took it as an act of vulnerability.
I also tend to forget that people raised with love know how to value themselves, but A Lie is fighting just to figure that out and only genuine love can pull someone out of survival mode. A real life relationship like theirs would require patience and communication. I totally get both sides, but knowing his childhood, I’m deeply invested in A Lie’s growth here. I guess, in our comments, we often see things as we are not as they are, just to paraphrase Anais Nin.

I am making efforts to understand why Lin Zai is keeping Lie at a distance and it doesn't work for me. It just looks like he loves him less. To not even allow space for a conversation...I don't know what the writers did but it looks like it will take Lie to leave or get really hurt for Lin Zai to realize his feelings again. I do understand his need for a family and the difficult situation in general but he is assuming things about what Lie intends to do without hearing him. Also, Lie doesn't have a family either and I don't see the effort to really include him. What I am saying is that I really felt for Lie in this episode.
