Haven't watched it yet, but I'm surprised by the rather subdued reception to this series. I remembered when the teaser came out, some were already calling it a candidate for best BL series of the year. So to see a rather low rating shocks me.
I'm getting shy while seeing this couple. Such a cute couple. Then after I have saw the trailer of this series,…
This couple probably has my favourite visual out of any Thai BLs couple this year. They give a cat-golden retriever vibe. At the same time, they probably gonna commit emotional cheating or something of that sort. Which just make me feel sorry for the girl.😕
I don't know how Chinese writers will learn that we hate 89.9% of the Female leads they write
Maybe they should stop writing original stories and just adapt chinese novels with strong, compelling female leads, because trust me, there are lots of them.
Thank you, I read the wikipedia article, and the description of Li Yu sounds just like Shu He (which is obvious,…
It's kinda like Titanic. RL Jack and Rose are of different social status so it's very unlikely that they have even met. Still the movie portrayed them as lovers.
This was neither listed nor tagged as BL. I only see Gay Male, Gay Romance, and LGBTQ+ tags. This is Korean gay…
Yes, that's true. I don't deny that and I also wish that more bl shows from East Asian countries would have the courage to feature at least one explicit kissing scene.
However the inclusion of sex scenes in BL shows should never undermine the importance storytelling. Some series, especially the Thai ones feature a lot of kissing and sex scenes between the characters. Yet outside of that, there isn't so much indication of what makes the characters fall in love with each other. We don't see them spend time together doing things that aren't sex. We don't see them having meaningful conversations about their personal lives and feelings. Nothing that shows their attractions aren't purely physical.
Thai, Korean and Japanese BL shows all have their weaknesses. Only when they are able to balance the physical and emotional aspects of gay relationships would we viewers achieve the ultimate satisfaction of watching BLs.
He is a go-to for every Korean's BL's YouTube series. Besides those that are listed, he has also appeared in Shortime's KickInLove as well Seek Media's upcoming BL series. It's nice seeing him continuously getting jobs.

I agree with your opinion. I stopped watching Thai BLs since 2022. Thai BLs was at its peak in 2021. They produced two masterpieces (A Thousand Stars and Bad Buddy). Since then, I have lose interest in watching them. Most of the comedic elements are rather cringy than funny, too many couples but the show struggles to focus on each of them, and overall just terrible writing AND acting.
Now I'm a big fan of Japanese BLs. Sure, the productions are more low-budget and there isn't much physical intimacy between the lead characters (heck the main couple in Cherry Magic doen't even kiss until the final scene and even then it's not explicitly shown).
However they make up for it with the execution. Beautiful cinematography, decent camerawork and great performances from the actors. We don't need sex scenes to know that the characters are attracted to each other. Lingering stares, accidental hand touching and smile exchanges are enough to convey the feelings.
You will be surprised. China produce a TON of those vertical drama and clearly popularized this type of content.…
To be honest, Chinese vertical dramas are fun to watch because their plot are over the top and exaggerated like in soap operas. They're practically "brainless" and you don't have to delve into the plot or characters.
It won't work if you want to make a drama with serious, well thought-out storylines and complex characters. Hence why many BLs that are filmed in this format sucked🤡
Omg what a wonderful series!!! I have butterflies in my stomach, why are people not talking more about this and…
I think the reason is because some episodes left a deeper impression on viewers than others. My favourite is eps 1 & 2, and my least favourite is eps 7&8.
I actually really liked the first couple, I wish it was longer
Good news for you then! A new short series consists of 6 episodes which can be considered both a prequel and sequel to their story has just been released on YouTube. The title is The Nameless Season.
I logged out of this series by the middle of the second episode. The first episode was easily the best episode. I thought that it introduced the two main leads very well. We learnt of Yu Ha's kind-hearted nature and his desire to be independent and stand on his own feet. We were also introduced to Min U, who honestly didn't give much of a positive first impression. However, it kept me entertained and made me eager to watch the next episode. Which somehow felt kind of dull and that made me lose interest so quickly. I love Strongberry but they should go back to making short films. They're great at that.
It has only been one episode. So I think it's unfair to judge so quickly. Besides, it's a short-length series with a small budget, so don't expect splendid production values. Personally, I thought the first episode was pretty good. I have watched GND studio's productions before so I knew what to expect and don't have high expectations.
