Omg thanks for this! I thought the ending of this show, though great, seemed unfinished in some places. Especially the details about his homeroom teacher and the (ex) boyfriend. In the series, after he was saved from committing suicide, it was only mentioned that he had to take a break to recover. We never heard about him and the biology teacher afterwards. This definitely clears things up.

On the other note, I love that the series ends with Koichi's inner monologues. The first time watching this, I totally didn't expect that.😭

Not in my school, but I've seen videos of teenage girls in other high schools acting crazy when they see handsome guys. I guess it isn't far from reality. Just look at the way some female fans react towards Kpop idols.

You know what is an example of an adaptation that doesn't follow the source material 100% but understand what makes it special and is liked by the fans of the source material? The Hunger Games films.

People trash Hollywood movies all the time, but when they adapt something well, they knock it out of the park. This film with its star-studded cast couldn't even compare. Perhaps the creators should learn from the production team of THG.

Well, if you can't stay as faithful to the source material and change nearly everything, don't bother adapting it. Come up with your own characters and storylines.

Haven't watched it yet, but I'm surprised by the rather subdued reception to this series. I remembered when the teaser came out, some were already calling it a candidate for best BL series of the year. So to see a rather low rating shocks me.

This couple probably has my favourite visual out of any Thai BLs couple this year. They give a cat-golden retriever vibe. At the same time, they probably gonna commit emotional cheating or something of that sort. Which just make me feel sorry for the girl.😕

Yes, that's true. I don't deny that and I also wish that more bl shows from East Asian countries would have the courage to feature at least one explicit kissing scene.

However the inclusion of sex scenes in BL shows should never undermine the importance storytelling. Some series, especially the Thai ones feature a lot of kissing and sex scenes between the characters. Yet outside of that, there isn't so much indication of what makes the characters fall in love with each other. We don't see them spend time together doing things that aren't sex. We don't see them having meaningful conversations about their personal lives and feelings. Nothing that shows their attractions aren't purely physical.

Thai, Korean and Japanese BL shows all have their weaknesses. Only when they are able to balance the physical and emotional aspects of gay relationships would we viewers achieve the ultimate satisfaction of watching BLs.
