Overall a good watch but like other's I also found the ending to be a bit abrupt. Atleast I wanted them to have an honest convo with each other in end especially XZ telling XC about how he's actually feeling as this would have definetly made them stronger and maybe I wanted to see there individual growths post this set back and actually becoming partners and working together as XC wanted also them taking there much awaited couple time for a vacation they long planned for even few glimpses would do. Maybe 1-2 more eps would have helped. But, overall it was a refreshing watch set on office dynamics.
Also, old Du's timing is really bad I really want to sue him for that!!!

Still can't believe that we r at the end. What a beautiful story the starting made me cry so did the ending evolving the whole life of the characters. Tang Song Yun's makeup in the end was so good including the dets on the hands. It will hard to find another story that will come as close to this one in my heart it is so beautifully done. Also, thanks to my fellow mdl friends for being such a great fam and discussing all the beautiful details after each ep in here it was something I looked forward to alot in here as sometimes I'll read comments and find a new pov or maybe new details or historical references which made me really happy and helped me enjoy this drama more. I'll miss that as well hope we all assemble together at other future dramas as well.

The 2nd aunt really is a pushover she can be manipulated by just few words and the 3rd DIL didn't look like a kind person from the very start. And the 1st master is such a piece of trash like ur wife passed away forget having regret of not seeing her at the last moment he doesn't even rush inside later and is worried about household affairs and his reputation. I wish he gets a bad ending as he is the root of it all.

Xinzhi u old fox! clearly he's so happy but gives hardly any reaction when he learns she broke up instead he's was comforting her while feeling happy internally. Meanwhile Xuchi is like what? is he not happy? r we not progressing yet while he just goes on to box lol though she was looking forward to his reaction a lot and suddenly he sends the moon's pic at night saying goodnight(which I think indirectly implies i'm thinking of u) but not giving a solid evidence either...... poor Xuchi!! 😤🤣

Ep 41: One of the best eps yet again!!
We got to see Ganteng, Xiaolin and Yuchen getting married I was so happy lol the way Nanke rushed forward to grab Xiaolian in case she ends up being a concubine, Loved Ganteng's decisiveness to marry the person she feels is right and also Jiugao and Yuchen finally mustering up the courage to ask his mom for affirmation.
Also, love all 3 maids of LX determined to rather marry humbly then be a concubine they have stood by this ideal since day 1 which makes me very happy.
I even wanted to jump in here mid ep and comment on how Nanke got his girl swiftly when he started late but poor jiugao couldn't even though he wants to from a while. At the end happy that they got what they wanted.
Love how LJQ's mom help's Xiuru's daughter's get to know who truly is helpful to them and someone they can rely on. Also our girl Xiuru may seem cute but is a tough nut to crack she stands her ground and gives her Marquis a well deserved reality check.
Omg I was so happy we saw LJQ inside the labour room with LX and how his mom was supportive of it criticizing both her husband and 2nd master 😭🤣. But, the funniest part is LJQ fainted but LX was the one thought to be one who has fainted lmaoooo. Our ML fainted from seeing a childbirth but glad he understands how much suffering a wife suffers just to continue there so called family line which people like 3rd son in law's fam think is in vain if it's a daughter while in contrast everyone in Lin fam was really happy seeing that cute babygirl coming into this world!
It was shocking to see that LJQ's mom has been sick for so long yet she still held the household firmly for so long keeping everything in order. I noticed her clothing, hair and make up getting older tune day by day but didn't expect it to be this bad. Also, she almost let it slip when she saw that her daughter is happy and pregnant. Guess that's why we saw LX sitting in main chair in coming eps.
Finally LJQ catching up to the potential swap hope that arc goes smoothly and sad to see how heartbroken he looks on seeing her mother's coffin. From here also he might get a hint sensing LX's words while the real LX's parents r both still around so it's not normal to understand the pain.

yes but the recent eps have been so beautiful I just finished watching ep 41 and I really rewinded each scene 1-3x I'm amazed at each new ep so much so that even wait feels sweet these days. Help something is wrong with me!!!

serves them right after causing all that trouble lol!🤣 I read earlier somewhere that in novel they actually separate but still he get's no son! atleast here there daughter's won't suffer because of this. It is really stupid to blame everything on women. How I wish they knew in those times that the child's gender is decided by male chromosome also even if they can't have any child it can't always be the wife's issue 😤

watched ep 40 again I really like how the lin siblings have got each other's back no matter who is in trouble and it extends to there spouses as well in most cases. Also, how they have all come to trust and respect Lanxiang as someone who has the best solution for them. Also LJQ's mom is always surprised at how clearly XLX understands her and what needs to be done in any situation. It's like having another reliable person in the fam to whom u can reach out in any kind of trouble and u definetly will get the most favorable ans for ur situation. It's a pity that the aunt still sometimes looks down on her earlier status. Though I know they most probably will never get to know who she is but I hope they all genuinely start valuing her.

Really like the vibe of this corporate drama as the painpoints r very real. Hope YXZ starts expressing more once he knows she's single again. But 1 ep a day is really killing me moreover it is the weekend!! I really shouldn't have started it while it was still airing ;( .........
