right like it was a bit too rushed I'm not even complaining about them slowly building up there relation in the previous eps and then suddenly they r just consummating it even though it was just a small part that's ok at this point romance has become secondary anyways we r focusing on the slice of life but atleast do it in 2x not 10x because now everything feels unfamiliar and I got a mini heart attack seeing xiuru having 3 daughters in 5-6 yrs like how r u even alive and in same shape woman!
Liked the advice that XLX gave to LJQ as in a way she is thinking similar to LJQ's grandfather when he said that u might bring harm to the fam in future. Sad that LJL passed away so suddenly, also i thought xiuwan will get married before xishu, somehow the 3rd DIL doen't seem like someone with good peresonality but hope I'm wrong also starting to see 3rd sis's house having only daughter's issue as people discussed earlier hope it doesn't go the way it went in the novel. Also, the time skips were a bit too fast it was nauseating like ok 2 yrs pass by then again 6 months went by fine but give us some space then again 2 yrs pass by it would be better if they could segregate the time skips in 1 ep per part Happy that LJQ took XLX's advice and slowly retreated back because no one in a historical drama has ever explained it so clearly on how everything revolved on the mood of emperor in those days but still it took him 2 yrs though the process ain't clear because of time skip. It was good to see XLX's parents life become better over the years they really deserved it. Was expecting LJQ and XLX to grow close acc to the previews but I felt it was a little rushed yes she forgave him after seeing her fam but what about the process I wanted to see how he changes over the yrs and becomes someone XLX really starts to like over the yrs. Hope the lin fam has started to view XLX differently over the yrs as it's our first time really seeing her back there in 5 yrs. Also, the child reciting those phrases was a bit creepy at one point and gave me chills😭. Anyways hope the coming eps can redeem some of these shortcomings.

Also why did we see qingru and chunqi having a happy ending like no context no back story just her giving him his bow after his father's death redeemed it for him. Also, they never showed us how exactly did lanshan and qinghe manage to reach capital and how they started there business and stuff considering the emperor was also after pei fam how did they survive in capital? And why did I not see any ending for shen chi i was expecting him to start feeling better and maybe start a life with fl's friend. What about grandma chen she disappeared as well!?
I kinda didn't remember that they have only 30 eps in total until 25 pacing was still ok today I saw express was out but what just happened to them in last 5 😭such rushed ending, trying to tie up everything haphazardly like what is going on and the emperor has no standing such a let down, while all the mystery was revolving Xie fam they should have just renamed it to 'the mystery of xie family' such a waste of xu kai's talent we barely saw him in the end 🥹

we never see other children of shen fam expcet for the SJL and her cousin maybe the male children were out studying and stuff. And maybe other son's of there fam also as they only show SJL's father and the 2nd bro the 3rd one is still not shown even though we see his wife in start.
After watching ep 38 I missed shen fam and went back to watch ep 1 now it becomes even more heartbreaking 😭😭 The irony of life is so saddening the maids that once were near SJL can no longer recognise that she is there young lady and vice-versa for her 🥹🥹

Poor her she lived as lanxiang for so long that she forgot her own birthday this is really sad. The whole grave visiting scene is so sad I cried along with her. But, now hopefully she feels better knowing atleast where her fam is 🤧 no ep tomorrow after such a heart wenching one today I really wish I can fast frwd myself to thursday already!!
