This drama had such a strong start, but the last 15 or so episodes it started to get real stupid real fast. I think this would have benefited from having fewer episodes. Also, I think whoever wrote this has serious mommy issues period because the mothers were unbearable for like almost all of the show, and then suddenly at the end they're all okay. one really nice thing was that the friendship with the girls in the show is really strong and I like that the two other women in the cast also had pretty decent storylines for themselves.
With that being said, I found the twist with younger older brother's mother to be incredibly stupid. first she supposedly left and was married and had another kid, then she supposedly didn't have a choice to leave because some woman accused her of sleeping with her husband, and then she was actually in jail for accidentally killing someone. It was ridiculous.
It's not a bad show, but I do think it's overrated. The only redemption in this that I actually liked was the younger sister because it felt more realistic than any of the others come especially her mother's.
The main couple is honestly boring, and I can appreciate a slow burn, but this is way too slow. Then when they got together finally, they were boring as a couple. It's not a bad show per se, but it's not exactly good either. it's a good show to watch when you're not really paying attention and just want background noise.
There are too many spots of just like dead silence in the show. I watched it on Amazon prime, so I find it hard to believe they couldn't afford the rights to whatever music was supposed to be playing, but it made it very difficult to enjoy parts of the show. And, not that I didn't already know this, but it illustrated just how important music is and shows. The plot was just okay the last episode was dumb though.
I honestly don't know if I can finish this. I'm on episode 6, and I feel like FL spends so much time begging ML not to kill her. I don't see how you could ever root for this couple to be together at this point. The childhood stuff is not nearly compelling enough of a reason.
I don't think I've ever watched a show where literally everyone is miserable until this one. And yet, I can't stop watching it. Halfway through and I just started it yesterday.
I feel like this show took too long to get really good and I don't feel like the last ep wrapped everything up enough for me. it's rare that I finish a drama thinking there needs to be a season 2, but there's too many storylines that they started in like the last two episodes. I need a follow-up movie or something to answer what happened with a few relationships in this show.

I hate myself for watching it. I hate myself even more for knowing I'll probably watch season 3.
