No one ever said that HJP is not at fault, we acknowledge that all three are at fault. But there's a BIG difference…
Wow 15 years really makes a difference huh? In that case still none of them 'deserve' her. There's no different lie, deception is deception. Both lied. Its Dal mi who gets to decide who she prefers not others
What JP did was fraud too. It was deceptive. He pretended to be DS in the letters a completely made up person other than only taking a real name. JP helped with the lie for a whole year. The lie was kept for 15 years. Plenty of time tell DM the truth. DS knows for far less longer meanwhile 15 years is a lot. They were more than happy to keep the lie forever if it wasn't for DM wanting to compete with her sister again by lying which is when HJP considered telling her the truth but the grandmother stopped him. With DS the lie just becomes harder to keep. They created a fake person just so that she falsely believes a lie. Starting caring deeply about said fake made up person. After finding out that she actually does not even have a boyfriend cause she liked the guy in the letters grandma and JP should have told her the truth and simply refused to listen to DS and atleast not help him if he really wanted to stop. Without his help DS couldn't have done much to begin with anyway. He is just as much at fault as DS because they both took turns in finding reasons to keep on lying changing their minds back and forth. Even if JP lied for Grandma they should have known it will affect DM. Hiding something is bad enough they made up such a big lie. It was his debt which people are using as excuse so there was definitely a gain for him. But again what about DM? JP DOES NOT have the moral high ground over DS when it comes to the lie. You can't excuse either 3 for the lies. They all are equally at fault period. You have to look at other reasons for why either of them might be good for her. the lies can't be excused from either. That's why I want her to know the truth so she can decide who she actually likes. Someone asked what's supposed to be the lesson from this drama? Well this has taken inspiration from a play. The guy Cyrano , inspiration for JP, doesn't tell the girl Roxane (Dalmi) the truth until the day he dies. And the other guy Christian (Do San) ends up with her instead. He still doesn't tell the truth until too late. The lesson is a lie like that will only create problems and to keep one lie you would have to continue lying again and again which all three are doing. They knew that DM would be unhappy if she found out the truth and the longer it went the worse it would be for her they still continued the lie. Did they really expect the truth to never come out? So spare me the excuses for why JP is not at fault but only DS. Cause I can't stand the double standards cause the lie would hurt regardsless. and it also doesn't help his case at all.
I heard this writer is known for her love triangles though?
I saw plenty of faults if I went and looked I can paint him just as bad as you do do san. I am not pretending do San doesn't have any faults but no character is perfect. But I have read way less criticism against way worse leads somehow he's the one's that horrible? All the responses I see are a reach.
Yeah, i am recommending vagabond, after that you can watch designated survivor:60 days coz has same vibes. Suzy…
Vagabond had a writing problem. Neither actor could save it for me. It's like they set it up for a second season cause it ended on a cliffhanger I think. It was also hard to take the drama as anything but comedy even when it was trying to be serious.
I am not really surprised people like Seon Ho as second lead though. People felt the same when he was a second lead in Strongest Deliveryman. There too he outshone the lead hehe
tbh beside all the arguments about love triangle, i'm so glad that people all now acknowledge Kim Seon Ho's acting.…
I honestly love his portrayal as Ji Seok in catch the ghost. Fave male lead ever. I have actually waited a year for this drama. But all the shipping war took out the enjoyment.
People's reason for hating do San and defending ji pyung despite both lying will always be ridiculous to me. Either both are bad or neither are. I hate neither and both of them are going to realise their mistake in the end. Because NDS or HJP doesn't matter it's SDM who is affected by all this in the end.
I don't think people are "forgiving" exactly, rather more "sympathetic" to his childhood and circumstances - If…
Oh no they are forgiving all right. I only see excuses. Have you been reading the comments? He is hot and charming so what? That's enough to forgive him?. What happened to him was when he was before he started killing so what plenty of bad guys with sad stories so should we forgive them all? why excuse adult rang for this 600 years is old enough. Like someone said cool motive still murder applies here. I wrote this before watching ep 10 before I found out about Shin Joo but exactly who has he killed in all these years? Also before they even found out about the reason why rang was this way people had taken an immediate liking to him. Not to mention and Yeon said he killed innocent people too even during that massacre and after that village massacre he didn't stop killing.also don't forget when they introduced the character it was impersonating a girl who he killed. 600 years is a long time.if he had stopped killing after that massacre I too would have found it was easier to forgive cause he no longer kills but that's not what has ever happened. That's why I brought up second female leads for perspective. It's after reading comments whre even redeeming of said characters people still insist on hating them and calling them a bitch so what happened here hmm? If he feels remorse for the murders themselves then I'll give a damn about his so called redemption
Nice characters and are always expected to be good and when they show flaws people criticise. Characters (male majority of times) whose have lots of flaws are given a lot of passes. Nice, sweet and kindhearted characters are somehow held to a higher standard because they are supposed to be better. But if they do nothing they are called weak or pushovers (again especially female but not always). Never understood that.
True. I will never support manipulation no matter how y'all and the show paint him like a saint.
The point isn't NDS has done no wrong it's that HJP shouldn't get away with everything. If creating a fake personality isn't manipulative then I don't know what is and what will get the point across.
