If you liked him in this, his role in 18 Again is completely different but just as good imo. The drama isn't similar to Squid Game at all but still highly rec it.

LOL, it does have the og hot oppa, Gong Yoo though. And can't forget Wi Ha Joon or spoiler character.

On the topic of Alice in Borderland, I feel like both it and Squid Game are good in their own ways and shouldn't be overly compared. Like yeah there's definitely similarities but.

Loved him in 18 Again and loved him in Squid Game, can't wait for him to get some main roles in the future.

Nothing too amazing or life changing but fans of Cheng Chen and Nini will probably enjoy.

I decided to watch this a bit on a whim and boy am I glad I did. both the leads are perfect in their roles and had amazing chemistry the entire time. The plot was great and unlike TMOPB, the second arc is something I can find myself constantly rewatching. It's now dethroned TMOPB as my favorite Xianxia and is rivaling Story of Ming Lan to be my favorite drama of the year.

I completely agree with you. I feel like Ni Ni did amazing playing her roles, especially in the mortal realm arc. She did well with her character who develops from a naive young fairy to the person she is at the end of the drama.

Yeah, I agree. His styling definitely wasn't the best in this. At least he looked a bit better in the second arc imo.

Agreed. Looking at some of the scenes in Hannibal, even the lightest scenes would get censored to all heck. And if people are complaining about SfH being too dark...

Not a drama but I'd highly recommend Hannibal. Although it is /much/ more graphic than anything you'd find in a regular drama so I'd say watch with caution.

Yeah, I'd recommend it too. The lead for Story of Ming Lan was actually my favorite until I watched this, lol. Don't let the amount of eps scare you, it really does fly by.

I know you mostly have Xianxia but when mentioning Douban ratings I always have to add Nirvana in Fire's 9.3 ranking with 328k

Gotta say, in comparison to Susu, Lin Mo is leagues ahead. I pretty much always skip over Susu's arc when rewatching TMoPB but I'd watch a whole drama with Lin Mo as the main character.

I'd say Sheng Minglan from The Story of Ming Lan is a really strong female character. She isn't the typical strong female protag who kicks ass and takes names but her intelligence and cunning certainly makes her strong.
