There is closure & a happy ending!

I’ve never read the novel before this, and I found this drama to be pretty decent because I was invested in the storyline between Xie Yun & Zhou Fei a lot. I’ve heard that there are quite a few changes from the novel. Maybe it’s better to watch without comparing to the novel so you can enjoy it better? I would say watch it to around episode 30 and see whether you want to complete or not! You can also just skim the episodes to see if you want to finish it! The drama isn’t for everyone, but I personally found it enjoyable because I was really invested in the story between Zhou Fei and Xie Yun.

It gets even better from there! :) It really picks up around episode 25!

There are quite a few people that constantly come back here just to hate on this drama. I understand that not everyone likes this drama, and everyone is allowed to give their comments but there are some people who have been giving negative comments since the beginning that this aired and constantly comes back to comment negatively each week. If I don't like a show, I would comment once or twice at most and never come back to the message board again wasting my time commenting on a show that I supposedly hate so much.

I miss Zhou Fei and Xie Yun so much :'(

I agree. Everyone has different preferences, as we can see from the polarizing comments, so we should not be telling people what to watch and what to not watch. I personally thought it was a pretty decent drama, and enjoyed it despite many negative reviews, and I know that many enjoyed it as well.

Honestly, I can barely tell the age gap! She only looks like a few years older than him max! I personally like their chemistry a lot!

She looks really young to me too! If I didn't know her real age, I'd think that she's only 25 or 26 at most! I think the makeup artist just did a horrible job here. I saw her on Day Day Up and Happy Camp, and she looked way prettier and younger there!

When I watched Love and Redemption this year, I never thought I'd love another character as much as Si Feng. But after watching Legend of Fei, I really really love Xie Yun too, maybe just as much as Si Feng! I'm a sucker for guys who are warm and sweet and would do anything for their lover :')

I like slow burn romance too! In my opinion, the leads really complement each other :') I hope you enjoy this drama! As you can see, the opinions on this drama is pretty polarizing/mixed! But I think you'd be able to enjoy it more coming in with an open mind!

I agree! I absolutely adore the Wang Yibo and Zhao Liying's chemistry! I know some people couldn't see the chemistry between them due to the age gap, but I absolutely LOVE Xie Yun and Zhou Fei together. I find myself rewatching their scenes together all the time! I just love how Zhou Fei is the tough, fierce, and strong warrior while Xie Yun complements her with his warm, flirty, and witty self! They're so different in personalities but complement each other so well! I thought that I couldn't enjoy Zhao Liying's chemistry with Wang Yibo as much due to the fact that I was biased with Wang Yibo's chemistry with Xiao Zhan in The Untamed, but I ended up loving them together in this drama!

It does have a happy ending!
Also, the drama starts off slow but it gets a lot better at episode 25 and onwards! There is a lot of issues with the production and the flow of the story can be a bit confusing, but I personally enjoyed this drama due to the romance between Xie Yun and Zhou Fei (which is also a slow romance as well btw). I'd say, watch with an opened mind and don't have too high expectations! A lot of people did not like this drama due to their high expecations beforehand, but I personally thought it wasn't bad because I came in with lower expecations. My favorite part personally is the storyline/romance between Wang Yibo and Zhao Liying!

I do agree! If anything, I would only re-watch the parts with Xie Yun & Zhou Fei XD I'm sad that this drama wasn't the best because it really had potential, especially with our lead actors. The poor writing and bad production really ruined it. Ah I wish this drama can have a do over so we can see the full potential of Zhao Liying and Wang Yibo!

More than a year later, and this drama is still my favorite drama of all time.
I really miss the interactions between Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan in public. That stupid controversy really damaged everything. Hopefully we can see them interact sometime again in the next few years. They were such good friends >.<

The romance is censored here due to the Chinese censorship laws, so it's just very very subtle. The anime is also a little censored as well, but a new season is about to come out so I'm unsure on what scenes they are adding. There's the audio book that I listened too with subs, and it follows the novel REALLY closely, including the romance as well!

I'm so pissed too. Like girl, COMMUNICATION please. A lot of these problems would be solved if she would just communicate and talk out her problems! They ARE dating so I was hoping she can express herself to her own boyfriend better

I really don't want to see the love-triangle/love-square dragged out. I prefer seeing the growing friendship between everyone, Seojun & Suho making up and becoming close again, Suho and Jugyeong's relationship developement, Jugyeong's character development and being able to be confident without makeup and embracing herself, Jugyeong's friendship with Soojin developing and HOPEFULLY does not go sour due to the two liking the same person, Seojun following his dreams and being happy without Jugyeong and maybe even meeting someone new. There's so many more things the drama can focus on instead of the love-triangle/square angst!
