The romance definitely does get better! It's a SLOW romance for sure, but there is definitely development. I didn't see their chemistry at first too, but I love the couple now! Xie Yun & Zhou Fei are perfect for one another! The actors are doing great! Jugyeong never really becomes badass and stands up to her bullies or even develops much as a character in the Webtoon, so I REALLY hope for a change in the drama version.
Soojin does not really have a major role in the Webtoon at all. The author never wrote about her anymore after the first few chapters, so we don't even know what happened with her and where her story went XD They definitely changed up her character here to be more significant and nicer in the drama.

I personally love the chemistry between Wang Yibo & Zhao Liying! They are great in the characters and make the chemistry work really well! I was obsessed with The Untamed before this and loved the chemistry between Xiao Zhan & Wang Yibo, and I thought that my bias wouldn't let me enjoy Wang Yibo's chemistry with Zhao Liying as much, but I was wrong! Uh... in the Webtoon, Seojun plays a MUCH bigger role. Jugyeong dates and kisses Seojun in the webtoon FIRST (there is yet a kiss scene between Jugyeong and Suho), and they genuinely did like each other after Suho left for Japan for a while and never contacted either Seojun or Jugyeong. Of course a lot of webtoon readers are still attached to Seojun because Jugyeong and Seojun dated for a while in the webtoon, and for a while, it even seems like Seojun took over the main lead role too. It makes sense for people to like Seojun tbh, especially if they are webtoon readers.

The webtoon got SO draggy to the point where I don't even care who she ends up with anymore XD Jugyeong has NO character development and it's such a love-triangle centered storyline for all of the 140 chapters that are out right now. I just hope the drama does not become like this and instead solve the issues at hand instead. There's so much more to expand and develop on BESIDES the love triangle.
