yup, the normal/usual standard practice in Chinese ancient customary matrimonial rite will have the wedding couple 1st bow to Heaven & Earth, 2nd to parents or elderly guardian or family in the absence of his/her parent/s, and the 3rd final bow to each other. And THE 3rd final bow is done standing, facing each other, not kneeling down.
But in this drama, he, the husband and an imperial figure did more than 3 bows to her. That's very unusual. And after all his bows, all the FL did was half bowed in acceptance to his bows. Funny
