as i've said earlier, i know what meant by harem and i'm not uptodate with the anime. I've seen only his love interest and little shimei. I've not yet seen the other three women.

I'm not uptodate on the anime, but the last time I was on it, Li Changshou has only one love interest and one shi mei.
I know what you meant by Harem = referencing Martial Master, Fanren Xiuxian, etc...

Yeah, i can understand. i've problem myself distinguishing which woman is whose wife cos some have common looks while others almost looking like each other! I use ep. 1 as reference - the scene when husbands and wives were back in their rooms after dinner.

It's only 12 eps and ML is already behaving like a jealous, possessive and suspicious lover.. and then a sheepish boy in front of FL while she acts cute and always teasing ML (Xiao Qi) and then proudly arrogant like she knows it all and can easily resolve every obstacle come what may!

Story unfolds interesting well for me until ML... and the FL....

Thank goodness they were given the choice to leave and have a second chance in life. It'll be very unkind to make them stay as young widows for life.

yes, the black/red combination definitely matches Su Changhe's menacing aura and vibes. I was thinking more about whether SCH is issued with only a one-set wardrobe or several but in the same color.

has anyone commented on the outfits of our two male leads? While I've lost count on the number of times SMY changed his attire, SMY seems to have not changed at all. Or did he change but only in design, ie all his outfits are in black lined with red???

IMO, it's like what he last said to YWJ before he dispersed his demonic energy.

IMO he lost the battle, failed to get to his woman and all Beili pugilists were after him. He's probably feeling devastated by the outcome. He alone might possibly fight his way out on his own, but it's quite difficult for him to fight with a burden or two.

You're right about Anshi's mother. She didn't care about him at all. Actually, she's not a good mother to both sons. IMO though she returned to the palace, she didn't put her heart & soul into nurturing the 1st son. She's probably drowned in her own sorrowful thoughts! That's why he turned out to be evil - killing his own mother!

But YDZ did take good care of his son and taught his 2-yo toddler well after his wife left him. He left the world after entrusting his 5-yo son to his trusted friend knowing that he'll be in good hands. BDJ in turn entrusted Anshi to Wang You who taught him well.

Sorry but i don't understand what you meant by "response in TBOY doesn't make any sense at all". I assume you're referring to her response to YDZ during their first and last mtg in the garden.

in TBOY #29, Wu Xin told Consort Xuan about the rumours/story he heard about her and Ye Dingzhi.

As i rewatch this drama, I realise there are quite a plenty of sad moments bringing me to tears. When Scholarly Deity made his exit... When Yu Sheng Mo bids farewell to his disciple... and the others all related to YDZ who's been short-changed from childhood to fatherhood...

This drama is not for those who dislike dramas with sad outcomes…
