“Why is their miscommunication.” Well first of all there’s an age gap of 8+ years. Second of all one of the characters is a doctor who’s had no love life and has strict controlling parents while the other one is a college student with low self esteem. Of course there’s gonna be miscommunication. The purpose of that miscommunication is for them to find a common ground between their differences and to create a healthy relationship in the process. Yes it’s a romcom but it’s also realistic and touches on common issues between couples.

I realize that some people can NEVER be satisfied. The series is 28 episodes long. You want all 28 episodes to be lovey dovey with no angst? And if that were to happen you’d complain that it’s boring. There was angst and misunderstandings for only 2 episodes. You’d think it was prolonged for 10 with the way some people are complaining. Anyway episodes 16 was so sweet and I can’t wait for their love confession. 🥰

You just gotta hang on until episode 16. Getting angst for only two eps isn’t bad at all. I’ve seen dramas prolong it for days.

I got it on good authority from netizens that for those annoyed with the angst in the last episodes, episode 16 makes up for it in a BIG WAY. Misunderstandings are cleared up. I think we’ll get the confession tomorrow. 🥰

Shao Jiang is a smarmy pretentious d!ck. Can’t stand him and his smarmy smile. I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a 2ml I’ve disliked this much this fast.

He’s not a doctor. And he has no business going through someone’s stuff without permission. And he’s obviously just trying to get LZX away from Dr Gu Wei bc he know GW is the guy LZX is interested in. That’s underhanded and smarmy.

I agree. He’s smarmy and pretentious . And in his bid to get LZX away from GW he’s putting Papa Lin’s health at risk. I’m not buying his nice guy act.

I think this shows the age gap between the characters. SanSan is expecting Dr. Gu to respond like an immature college age guy. But Gu Wei is a man in his 30s. So instead of her comment making him want to fight for her, he thinks LZX is better off with the other guy who according to SanSan understands her most and has her same interests. So GW would rather step aside instead of being in the way.

I actually really like how the story is progressing even with the annoying 2ml. He’s basically there as a catalyst for GuLin. Their biggest issue as a would be couple is their age gap and difference in profession. Right now these misunderstandings are being set up for them so that they can work through those conflicts and realize that they are perfect for each other. Because these are real life issues that occur in real life couples. I love how realistic this drama is. And that realism sets it apart from the rest imo.

The second male lead is annoying. At this point Dr. Gao is more likeable than him. He’s too pretentious. And SanSan is just creating unnecessary conflict.

For those wondering, they release the two episodes an hour apart. You don’t get both at the same time.

Saw the teaser for episode 10. Someone finally isn’t as oblivious as b4. 😅 I’m so excited! Two episodes on Sunday! 🥳

I’m so impressed by Xiao Zhan in this drama. Of course his acting has only improved since this drama was filmed. But he doesn’t disappoint at all. He adds so much nuance to Dr. Gu Wei. While another actor would have made him cool and very one dimensional he adds layers to his performance which makes you see Dr. Gu Wei not Xiao Zhan. The cute awkwardness he adds to Gu Wei makes him so endearing to watch. Also because of his performance the audience understands that his closed off personality in the beginning is because he was protecting himself after what happened. Now that he was finally able to work past that mental barrier we are able to see more of his personality. We see that. It’s not something the drama has to constantly tell the viewers. Overall, just a great performance from Xiao Zhan.

I just wanted to say one thing about the rating score. And then I’ll drop it because it shouldn’t be given so much importance. As someone who has watched a variety of shows. It’s best to ignore the rating and decide for yourself whether you like the drama or not. I’m from the U.S. and we follow this rating site known as rotten tomatoes. It’s commonly known that trolls love to go on there and leave bad reviews. And it usually always happens to shows where the leads are people of color. So I’ve learned to ignore their ratings and enjoy the show on my own. I hope those who come on this page can do the same instead of relying on a score that currently doesn’t reflect the actual quality of the drama. And honestly, I expect the score to increase once those trolls are done down rating it.

The cello performance in the lobby was so sweet. The way Gu Wei looked at her. 🥰 You can see him falling in love. Ahhh! I can’t wait to see his romantic side.

Nah. He’s just aging gracefully. Hehe. To be fair, he’s only 32.
