I saw the preview for the upcoming eps and all I can say about HHL is that she's so shameless. The AUDACITY.

Seeing XCS struggle with his inability to walk these past episodes has been so gut wrenching. Xiao Zhan did such an amazing job making his legs look "dead." The attention to detail has been immaculate. Also seeing TXM cry silently for XCS broke my heart. Xiao Zhan and Li Qin portrayed those scenes so well. I was crying every time XCS felt defeated and hurt. But as much as I love all the angst I'm really looking forward to seeing XCS and TXM happy and in love. I'm really excited for this next chapter of their lives. (Not excited to see YGH and HHL again tho. lol)

XCS love confession to TXM was so sweet! I was smiling so hard during that scene. Those two have my entire heart! I'm really looking forward to seeing their life together.

This behind the scenes clip of the train scene between Xiao Chunsheng and TXM really moved me. Xiao Zhan giving another master class performance. He covers every detail for every scene. How he eats the orange (expressing shame), and how he trys to hold in tears until TMX turns away and then lets the tears flow. He even told the director how he thought was best to film the final shot of his tears and as a result got the perfect shot. He is extremely talented. I think he will become a director one day. He's someone who doesn't just memorize lines. He actually brings in his own thoughts and opinions for how his character should react. It's really a collaborative effort with the director. There's a rumor that before he accepted his latest drama Sunshine By My Side the script had to undergo several revisions before he would accept the role. Which, if true, means he has a say in his drama scripts. That says a lot about him as a professional actor. I genuinely hope he wins awards for his portrayal of Xiao ChunSheng. Because someone this hard working and talented deserves to be rewarded.

Xiao Zhan is really an amazing actor. He never disappoints. Episode 18 had me in tears. It's so nice to watch a drama where I don't have to explain the lead actors acting. Xiao Zhan makes me proud every time. Hope he gets acting award nominations. I can’t think of anyone more deserving.

Yu Guo Hua is a huge piece of shit. First he sends XCS on that mission to get the coordinates. And when his superiors ask them to retreat he says that XCS went out. Putting the blame on him. When XCS gets the coordinates and takes his place, he returns to the camp and says XCS stepped on a land mine. He omits the part that it was because of him. Then he takes the credit for the coordinates and is branded a hero. I really couldn’t believe it. So much for brotherhood. Xiao ChunSheng deserves way better and I hope YGH gets his comeuppance.

Episode 18 was a lot. I balled my eyes out. 😭

Li Qin accepted a role for another drama and had to leave the set in the middle of filming. Because this was still during covid she had to undergo 1 month of quarantine. Resulting in lesser screen time so far.

You're not supposed to. This was a year ago so idk if those rules were established yet. And I don’t follow her so I don’t know if she got backlash for it.

Let’s just put the FL 2ndFL screen time discussions to rest. Li Qin accepted the role for another drama. That drama started filming in the middle of WDB. So she left the set to film the other one. And then got stuck in 1 month of quarantine before she could return. The script writer had to work hard to make up for it. The story is about XCS anyway and it’s a slice of life drama. The romance is not the focal point. There are more interesting topics to discuss tbh.

Li Qin decided to accept the role for another drama and that drama started filming in the middle of this one. So she left the set and had to do 1 month of quarantine before returning. Don’t blame the script writer. The lack of screen time falls on her.

I really enjoyed episodes 13 and 14. I love how smart and cunning XCS was against the mafia dude. I also really like his friendship with Duan Lei. Hope to see more of the two of them.

He was going to step back but YGH insisted that he also fight for her. She’s not a piece of meat and is allowed to like who she likes. And is allowed to also have a say in who she likes and who she liked is XCS. YGH has no say over her. And expecting her and XCS to give up their feelings for each other only to spare YGH’s feelings is not good. And I also wouldn’t call XCS a bad friend when they all use him all the time to solve their problems.

I’ve seen some of the most god awful dramas with horrible acting have above a 9.0 rating on this site. I think it’s a combination of antis and people who only like romance dramas.

Xiao Chunsheng is such a good person. He was so happy to see his brother. And was so proud of him for being a platoon leader. It doesn’t bother him at all that he’s his superior. He’s a good friend to have. Guohua is very lucky.

It’s always funny to see Xiao Zhan antis go to all of his currently airing dramas and sh!t on them in the comment section. Y’all should try employment.

Just finished episodes 9 & 10. How does this drama keep getting better with each episode?? I’m so shook. It’s the first time in a loooong time that I’ve watched a drama where I don’t want the episodes to end. Saw the trailers for episodes 11-14 and they look even more exciting. I’m so impressed with the drama team and cast. They deserve their flowers!

This drama is amazing. Every episode just keeps getting better. XCS is such a good man. He takes care of everyone he loves. I just hope he can realize his dreams and be happy. I really like both HHL and TXM. They both love him. But TXM is his soulmate. He just hasn’t realized it yet. I’m excited for when they get together. And I’m really looking forward to seeing XCS achieve his dreams.
