I can't believe I went from being a Devi supporter for 7 episodes to being her hater. That was heartbreaking.…
That's why I kept saying it makes no sense to feel sorry for the women being "cheated on" when we don't even know their motives or what they truly think about the dynamics of the relationship. We tend to infantilize women as if they have no agency.
Y'all. This show stirred me up and touch so many quiet spaces in my heart. It was volatile and tender at the same time and so poetic. I dreaded watching the last episode the same way I dreaded starting the earlier ones, but every time without a doubt the team treated the story and, therefore, the audience with thoughtfulness and they never brought us past the edges.
This is a capable team that really know how to work with the emotional cycle of the audience -- taken through a story -- and the execution was with precision and care. They know how to take an audience through full catharsis at a level of expertise I've only seen and talked about with those who craft on the stage. In fact, the story felt more like stagecraft than film. Absolutely effing brilliant.
Well done Be On Cloud. Love the clever self insert in that song written by Krailert.
wow. that father was excessively abusive. i found it disturbing when someone completely overides or stifles another's will. this is the worst kind of abuse imo.
Zefang was such a bad person it surprises me to see people just didn't care about that and think he deserves something.
this ended up being a bit long....
to think that zefang has lost something and the grandfather gained by stealing zefang's life has three issues.
1) xia cha didn't initially choose the body swap as we agree and when the opportunity to leave came, he took it. zefang and the others allowed for him to stay in the body. his own will was not a part of the outcome = no stealing. 2) this life as the ultimate/having primacy - the lens has to widen to the reincarnation cycle for all the characters 3) zefang gave his grandfather a second chance through the body swap (not reincarnation), which, in terms of good deeds is top tier (thus he has become a better person) and this positions him to have greater fortune in the next life. his grandfather living with double happiness could allow compassion for zefang's soul and potentially increase its fortune in his next life.
i think the multiple concepts in this show were too complex for the team to execute. there was too much going on for the resources, format, level of expertise and storytelling style. example, i never fully understood why the body swap occured and i thought that execution was clunky plus, zefang being able to handle the red string of fate. but in terms of reincarnation, i think the show's logic is sound enough -- takes familiarity with the conept to see the bigger picture. the ending may not be satisfying if you are rooting for zefang, but it ultimately isn't his story at the center of the narrative, it is xia cha's. i didn't even feel that hua yuan (ml) is a part of the story's center as typical in bl.
yes, you too are both so precious. just about every character in this show is precious in some way. honestly though since ep1 i've been scared to watch each episode because i am waiting for the anvil to fall. thankfully the emotional ride isn't as turbulent as i have been anticipating.
Edit two more episodes to go before i am officially doing this 🙇🏾 🙌🏾 🤌🏾 👏🏾
Okay. I've sat in the corner and done some self reflection. I sat with my emotions and I have to admit that this show was made just for me. There I said it.
And... if I were ever to be a song I'd be Far Side of The Moon.
I have a question that might sound a bit insensitive, but I’d like to understand better. Why is it such a big…
Imagine childhood neglect by your father and then losing your mother (primary caregiver) at that age. Anyone would develop these issues unless there was a stable adult figure that help them to build resilience. I frankly think he's doing great considering.
Euro is really a standout for me in this show. I will definitely tune into his works after this such a brilliant…
I went scouring for his earlier work. Nothing so far is on par to this. It's excellent direction as well.
And it seems like the whole production team love Euro and Son probably because they are more experienced actors who are both beautiful and expressive at the same time. Honestly each episode the same image of lion (Son) and tiger (Euro) keep coming to mind the way the light hits their face. The characters are symbolically like that too. Both power wild creatures.
I have so much I want to say about this episode -- and this show that now has my heart -- but all I keep thinking about is how Son rearranged my brain. Having seen this man play the one chasing in every lakorn including this one and then seeing Lert in this episode at the piano waiting for Naran... and Naran's knowing smile... floored me.
Also, great rep. As a female vocalist, hearing male vocal pleasure (often relegated to woman presenting characters) that was so honest and vulnerable is a treat. I am grateful to Son, Euro, and fellow creatives for being so brave and generous with these two characters.
Btw, Naran was really a strong presence in this scene. Love how he faced Lert full on.

It's not even about romance for me but to experience the joy and beauty of life fleeting or not.
