Granted that to me Mi G. is the real nutcase of the series, as i wrote here before, she just need a good therapist for a very long journey... definitely a girl with a personality desorder... i partially agree with you. I don't think she is a bad person, just an ill one. she doesn't know how to love cos she wasn't taught what love is, i guess, so she confuse it with possession and conventionalism in public just to convince herself of being part of something good. she is desperate and clingy cos all that she want is ACCEPTANCE and to be truly loved, but she keeps on failing the right way to achieve those So i don't believe she is just about image and reputation for vanity or self-esteem. but for a terrible search for the sense of belonging. super sad if you think about it

I think it's the latter or just a misunderstanding, like Su Y leaves the hotel during the night, meets K. Pil at the entrance and someone else (not Mi Kyung, maybe the female student?? could be...) busts them , gets the wrong conclusion and refers to Jong H. somehow. So , when Jong H confronts Su Y in the office's hallway asking if it is true, she replies that way to him, thinking he caught her with Sang S. Then right after the punching scene, every man for himself ! XD Like everybody will think or tell the lie that suits them better for their own agenda. At least this what i'd expect... from the "movie shot in my head".
