is the drama bad or is the rating based on scandals and anti fans? I am about to give it a try but dont qant to waste my time if it is actually not good

The completely changed the fml's character from the book ver in back from the brick. The novel fml is much tougher and like he yan the drama mad her more damsely

I mean we live in a patriarchal society also so men being garbage is going to be common lmao it is nasty tho. I truly belive the show was meant to have 3 seasons because there is so much plot material. Her character like everyone else could have more depth but the issue is that she is the 2fml so they will not spend extra time on her despite it being a significant plot opportunity. This is really the issue with adaptations and regulations:/

Again I would not say the princess is unrealistic because have you not heard of real life situations where women harm other women over a man? (i find these stories to be absurd and scary but they are real I would hope my friends woul never act like that but again it does happen). I think her character much like shenyi is getting at the way patriarchal societies corrode women and how mind sets get corrupted. She could have easily dropped the 2ml for a better man but could she? Would her father actually let her chose who she wanted after her first arranged marriage? at the end of the day her character is more complex than just a woman madly in love. She is madly in need of control of her life to the point where she is obsessed with this man that she knows doesn't lover her but she is obsessed with the reminates of their romance

I would not say she is poorly written give that this mind set is actually not uncommon among women who grow up in patriarchal societies. Is it dramatic yes but I have heard similar stories in reality. The princess is not attached to the 2ml in the same way that the audience would see as the relationship brwteen mudan and jyc. The princess time and time again is attached to her own feeling of love. She is selfish and self-serving like the other 2ml. Her feeling of love is not actual love but an obsession with control over her life

yes she makes me pity the country princess even though I hate her charachter at the same time talent

all the women are fighting in their own ways even if you hate the characters you can understand their agency it is well written for the most part (

this because she saves herself 99% of the time and only gets help when she absolutely can not deal with it by herself due to status
