you described this drama soo well..i watched this drama ongoing back then, that weekly doses of soothing melodies…
Absolutely! I have taken to listening to the instrumental soundtrack when I want to have some peace and quiet, listening to the rain outside or watching the trees swaying in the wind through the windows. When the Weather is Fine in winter is, what Hometown Cha Cha Cha is to me in the summer haha Then I wish I could live in a small town among people like this...

I tried to finish this, i really did. It has many elements that i love; winter scenery, slow burn romance, fun…
I understand that it might be confusing or distracting for some, but I personally welcomed the flashbacks that explained so much that had happened. This drama is sort of like... the facade of a house with many different doors and windows. Each of them is different, some look ugly, some look pretty, some are tattered and scratched, and only if we open them up to get a glimpse of the room that lays behind, we may understand why that is. I am surprised that you think it's not a psychological drama, it did feel that way to me. At first glance, the three women in the family seem to be really unlikeable people that don't care much for each other. It's only after we learn what went on behind the scenes that we understand how they ended up that way, and same goes for ML, and some other characters in the show. I loved each and every second of it. But I definitely think you have to be in the mood for this kind of drama, sometimes you'll need something faster paced.

I agree 100 percent, it's such a gem, a favorite! I was somewhat shocked when I went from watching this to Marry My Husband. I barely recognized PMY. I liked her in Her Private Life, too, but since then she has just lost so much weight, I hope she is taking care of herself. She really shines in this drama, as you said, it's one of the most natural performances, and it speaks volumes how she turns the shadow that was cast over her, slowly into radiance.
On When the Weather Is Fine Feb 24, 2025
I watch this drama once a year without fail. Usually when the days are getting longer and colder and I just want to curl up with a cup of hot tea or cocoa and comfort my soul. This year I watched it, yearning for spring. I cannot put into words how much I love this drama. It's like poetry itself. The atmosphere, the music, the acting... each frame and line seems carefully chosen to slowly melt our hearts that have been frozen from the long, lonely winter. It's heartbreaking at times, heart fluttering at others, most of all, it just conveys what it's like to be human. Nobody here is perfect, we all make mistakes, but it's in the little things and interactions, that show how we can grow and find people that care for us, if we just let them in. I am certain I will treasure this gem until I'm old and grey. It might not be for everyone, but if you enjoy slice-of-life, poetry, darkness that turns into light, then give this a shot! 9.5/10 from me, it's certainly in my top 10 favorites.

Title Welcome to Samdal-ri Spoiler
Currently rewatching cause I needed something calm and fun. It's strange how this show can make me feel warm and fuzzy and then at the next moment bring my blood to a boil. That assistant Bang Eun Whatever can just rot in hell for all I care. She's one of the worst people I've ever seen in a drama, and it's hard to see Sam Dal just take it all, she should've stood up for herself, at least after clarifying what happened. She could've sued for defamation, plagiarism, even assault, but she did NOTHING and it really makes me so mad, because what it implies is that it's okay to get treated that way, to consequently just run away. It is NOT okay, and same goes for Yong Pil's father btw. I do feel sorry for him, I really do, but he's not the only one hurting and in mourning, and it just infuriates me how he will disregard anyone else's pain to justify his rage, even going so far as to taking his son's happiness away. Episode 7 broke my heart, my heart was literally ACHING for Yong Pil , so as his father, how could he just sit there while his son crumbles next to him, knowing very well that he himself was the cause?! 18 years sure is a long time to make someone's life miserable....

what does ep17 add to the overall story? is it like an epilogue? spin off?
It's sort of both. It does mention/feature the main characters, but it's primarily a spin off about a side character (handsome police officer) and his first love. I don't really get why they made it. It's cute, but I'd watch until ep 16, then take a break to get the 'drama is over' feeling and then watch ep 17 as a bonus when you miss the drama :)

I was sooo excited about this, and waited until it almost finished airing to start it. First episode was rocky but really engaging and I was expecting a new masterpiece in the making, something different from what we usually get in dramaland. But 4 episodes in and I'm dropping because it's like... really nonsensical. I don't really care for any of the characters, or better said, their struggles up there, because there are too many people involved from the start and the focus is all off. The past of ML and his fiance was more interesting than the entire rest of the drama. There are weird sequences that are of no relevance to the show (like a full minute or so of the twins dreaming about what to do if they win the lottery, which, newsflash, the ticket isn't even theirs). ML is acting like a complete tool 99% of the time, and it makes literally no sense he would risk his life several times in just the first couple of episodes for an IVF experiment that has maybe a 1% chance of working out, PLUS going on a suicide mission for a woman he has known all of a week or so. He has no experience as an astronaut, quite possibly would endanger the mission first when forcing a FIRE ALARM on a space station while everyone's working their butts off to repair the solar penals, and then going out on a SPACE WALK without having ANY idea or plan or even common sense. I have no desire at all to continue watching this, also with all the cheating and betrayal that's about to happen. Disappointment of the year for sure.

before business proposal, while u were sleeping was on 10th spot
It's one of my favorites, it's got suspense, romance, comedy, beautiful cinematography, great music and most importantly: well written and fantastic acting. Some really deep topics as well. Hope you enjoy the rest of the ride!

I was in the mood for something light and funny that I could watch while sewing. Good stuff I watch with my entire focus on the show, but this is just right for background noise, especially as a rewatch. Unfortunately my stance remains that it's just really not that great. From the get go, both leads are getting on my nerves, FL for being extremely gullible and ML for being a bully. The whole premise just doesn't make sense, I get that it's comedy and a drama, but please keep a dose of realism. 1. It was insanely dumb of her to sign a contract under blackmail that would have her pay 100 times the fee as penalty. He threatened her, but what he did was plain stalking. Showing up at her house unannounced, despite her repeatedly telling him she didn't want to do the contract relationship, calling her at 4 AM in the morning, forcing her to meet him whenever he pleased... She didn't have to give in to his ridiculous demands had she reasoned with that in mind. Also, she could have just told him she had a boyfriend who wouldn't be amused about her fake-dating another guy, that would've been enough to get her out of it. Everything here is so forced. How would he/they not recognize her, even if she has a different hairstyle and less makeup, she is OBVIOUSLY the same person. Whenever she tries to not get discovered, her weird antics draw even more attention. It's like she has no common sense, all the 'problems' around the ordeal are made by her stupid choices. And again, yes I do understand it's comedy, but it starts getting bland after using the same trope and joke over an dover again. I love the cast, but the script is sorta meh. 6.5 from me.

Every adult in this show besides the dads are fucking crazy!! Whether its the old ajummas that cant stop gossiping…
Agree 100 percent. I was so mad the entire time and I don't think they resolved the issue of gaslighting and abandonment and 'living for the parents/family' well. It made me change my rating for the drama while I enjoyed the first half of the show.

WTH, who changed the synopsis and why?!! It's like the biggest spoiler ever, it's basically retelling the biggest 'plot twist' in the series and summarizes the second half of the story lol I dunnot how to report this, but someone please change it back to a more generic summary that actually leaves some kind of suspense for the viewer.

Title Healer
I agree about the OST, it didn't really do it for me (but I know a lot of people love it.) I first watched Healer…
It's true that she had that picture, but as you said, it's impossible to tell much from it, perhaps you could narrow it down to a guy between 20 and 50, but that's about it. But she told Bong Su that she had had a crush on the guy even before she got that picture, just from the mere rumor of how amazing he was. And think about it, the way he approached her from the beginning was quite creepy and unsettling, he cornered her in the bathroom, took a nail clipping and had her in a strong hold, breathing down her neck. As viewers the way it was filmed, because we knew it was Ji Chang Wook, who's super handsome and we know Healer is a decent guy, we would think 'oh my, what a scene'. But if I imagine myself to be in her shoes, it's actually frightening as hell. Any way, regardless of whether she knew his age or whatever, I still think it's ridiculous to get them into some kind of relationship where she hasn't seen him or talked to him properly.

I actually don't think he meant it in a romantic way. At least I hope, I wasn't too sure, but later on he said he liked 'noona', so is sister-in-law, as well. So I think when he said there's a girl at the door whom he likes, he didn't mean it in a romantic way. It would be really weird, considering she was 5 years old when he last saw her.

I enjoyed this series, I was search for the romcom, but can't say this drama was romantic in the first place.…
For realistic and passionate romance, you should watch 'Lovestruck in the City'. Chang Wook is an architect who loves to surf, and seriously so hot in that one. First episode starts a bit weird, but it's one of my favorite slice-of-life dramas. I watch it once a year in summer.
