It’s good for the people who enjoyed it, hence the 9.2 rating. But people have different tastes. What’s enjoyable…
If you're watching for some dark tones, It focuses actually more on murder mystery than depression. I also didn't think it was special in the beginning and thought it was overly cheesy. But due to some plot twists and their insane chemistry like some already mentioned, I really fell in love with the drama. I would say keep watching until end of ep 4 to see if you like it or not.

This drama was a delightful rollercoaster of emotions and totally hit me by surprise. Yes, it's focused around mystery and romance, but beyond those very simple concepts, there are memorable dialogues and questions about life. I cannot express enough how much I loved this drama. I laughed and cried and swooned and each travel back to the past or present left a hollow feeling. The acting and chemistry of the cast, especially our main couple, is off the charts! I am sure I will rewatch it many times in the future and applaud the entire production team for such a fantastic show. 9.5/10 from me. (Also, I cannot believe Byeon Woo Seok sang 'Sudden Shower' by himself despite not being a professional singer. His voice is so soft and soulful, it's my favorite song of the OST)
On Dare to Love Me Jun 4, 2024
Hm, I am torn about this drama. It is actually quite enjoyable and I love the setup of that historical village. The ML and FL dynamic is unique and definitely interesting! What bothers me the most, is that even though I've watched 8 episodes of this drama, I still barely know anything about them, besides the obvious. I mean, what about FLs parents? Why did she quit being a webtoon teacher? What was her catalyst for switching careers? Supposedly she loves fashion design so much, and she was drafted as a designer for a world famous brand for ONE SINGLE design, a bag at that, that didn't even look very unique or outstanding? We haven't seen anything else designed by her, nor is there any mention of her making her clothes herself f.e. As a fashion designer myself, I find it highly unbelievable and disappointingly shallow, even Camille and her wingman, are sooooooo cliché. Yoon Bok, too, while we know a bit more about his past, he's quite one dimensional.
The focus of the show is off, and there are too many repetitive scenes.
In my opinion, the drama overall lacks depth. Unfortunately, I feel like this is the issue with many webtoons turned drama. I do recommend watching it, I just think it's a pity for wasted potential.
Right now it's probably a 6.5 or 7 in my books, although it could be much better.
On The Midnight Romance in Hagwon Jun 3, 2024
I enjoyed episodes 1 and 2, albeit not loving them. Episode 3 was a snoozefest. Some shots and scenes are just sooooo long, you could squeeze the whole plot of the episode in 20 minutes and still have enough of a slow slice-of-life. I usually love slow-paced dramas, but this... not sure I wanna continue.

Title Missing Crown Prince Spoiler
Admittedly, I watched the entire 15 episodes in two days. However, while I really loved the beginning, at some…
Oh wait, just let me get this straight: FL's father confesses to her that he killed her mother, without giving any excuse or explanation, mind you. FL is obviously traumatized, but after he receives a letter from her he's like: 'Oh well, seems like she's forgiven me, all peachy.' Who would be this forgiving toward their parent?? She already previously told him she wouldn't be able to forgive him for the other sins he committed, and that was before she knew he killed her MOTHER of all people. I am just utterly speechless. Like, I don't know what the writers were on, or if he's just honestly this delusional. I am repeating myself, but it's disgusting. No matter what kind of sob story they throw at us and what a redemption arc could look like, I don't think anything would make me change my mind at this point.

E14 was crazy.Sorry MY but changing your name will not cut it when the officials saw you walk down the aisle with…
I don't think she ever planned to act on her feelings toward the CP (at least not after finding out about her father), and she clearly said that she doesn't condemn her father and the Queen Dowager for their affair or love, but because of the sins they committed in order to keep it a secret (blackmailing, killing, framing others for treason). I agree, though, the villains here are everywhere...

This drama should have another title.
I second that, something like 'Pointlessly going in circles'.

Title Missing Crown Prince Spoiler
Admittedly, I watched the entire 15 episodes in two days. However, while I really loved the beginning, at some point it was more about wishing for SOMETHING to finally happen. I never skip scenes in dramas, but here I did whenever there was a 'love' scene between the Queen Dowager and Sang Rok. After finding out he (probably) killed his wife, I feel even more disgusted than I did before. What started out as a strong action/comedy/romance turned into makjang at the halfway point, and unfortunately now it keeps going in circles. It's difficult to keep track of who's on whose side at what time, since they keep changing sides and backstabbing and plotting. It's getting tiresome, truly. The one bright light of at least the brother's unconditional trust and love has overturned. I cannot say I am surprised, because that always happens at some point, but I am still disappointed. I truly wished for this drama to be different at least in that regard. The most infuriating thing, though, is that they should have f*cking told him about his grandfather's plan to assassinate the king, the sole reason why his mother and brother didn't want him to become crown prince. But no, over and over and over he asks, and gets coddled because it would 'scar' him to find out. What BS. Sure, the better alternative is to fuel resentment towards his brother and drive him into a corner so he ruins all their plans and makes a pact with the enemy YET AGAIN, while ousting one of their most important sources and getting half their supporters arrested for treason. Bravo!! Sure, that's not gonna leave a scar on him, the moment he realises what a dumb move that was. And who's gonna have to suffer the consequences? His older brother of course. Ah, man, I am just too furious so I'll end my rant here, although there'd be more to say.

Episode 8 was supposed to make use feel with Choi Sang Rok and Queen Dowager, I suppose. I still hate them with a passion. Even though I feel sorry for Queen Dowager, I was so satisfied when the Queen finally lashed out at her and called her a beast, not human. Indeed, the two of them have gone way too far to protect their 'love'. Not only did they despicably plot and scheme to sow distrust within the palace, they used the royal family to commit the greatest sins and betrayals against each other, unknowingly or without a choice. I feel so strongly with the brothers, the king and the queen, it is so heartbreaking. And to hide their affair, they killed countless people, the courtmaid in the first episode looked like she was still a child. Choi Sang Rok is the worst trash, how would his daughter be able to live as the crown princess, knowing that for her to reach that position, her father had dozens of men killed and the crown prince murdered. I feel disgusted whenever I see him and they try to make him seem 'human' with their past. Yes, it's tragic, but not everyone who goes through loss and grief turns into a ruthless monster. He doesn't even find any fault in his actions, it's obvious he feels entitled. Well, I am curious to find out about Myung Yoon's mother. If he loved the Queen Dowager this much, how would he even get married and have a child?

On My Husband, Mr. Oh! May 30, 2024
I come back every now and then to rewatch, because overall I really enjoyed the premise and setup of the show. It is a bit too long indeed, it should've been 16 or 20 eps max. The mother and stupid brother can go to hell, seriously. How someone can live their life this shamelessly and continue to take advantage of their daughter/sister continuously is beyond me. To the point where they don't give a sh*t about her emotional wellbeing, her trauma, and then sabotage her happiness when she has finally found peace. I kept waiting for them to redeem themselves, but it just didn't happen in a reasonable manner.
I did love the SML, he's hilarious and actually a really good guy deep down. Also the friendship between the three girls was touching, even though I hated Se Mi's husband and was really happy when she finally snapped. All in all it's not perfect, but it's worth watching. Maybe take a short break in between and pick it up a week or so later.
On Frankly Speaking May 27, 2024
I thought the beginning was funny enough to pass the time, but now it's just boring. Like, I don't even get the point of the show. His biggest 'crisis' aka illness isn't even addressed anymore, their choices during the TV show don't make sense and it's just... bland. The pacing and editing of the story are weird too, sometimes it just feels like bits and pieces have been edited out. The chemistry I did feel in the beginning vanished all of a sudden. The arch of the 'first love' ended in a complete 'wtf?' questionmark. I think I'm gonna drop it at ep 7. Or maybe I'll just continue watching whenever I feel like something veeeeeeeery light hearted where I don't have to pay too much attention.

Title Queen of Tears Spoiler
Their relationship during college was nothing but friends but I think Yoon wanted to be in a relationship with…
Please mark these as spoilers for people who haven't seen the show. Also, there doesn't really have to be a specific 'reason' for the miscarriage, which is why they didn't give one. There's about a 20 percent chance of miscarriage before the 5th month, every third woman has to deal with such trauma. I wish they had instead elaborated more on her pain and why their relationship suddenly fell apart instead of finding comfort with each other and trying again. I mean, she's a proud woman, she might have felt like it was her fault, but still....

Just finished the drama, and as stated previously, I just don't get the hype. This is by no means a bad drama, but it's also really not that great. It has a stellar cast, some comedy, beautiful scenery and editing and music. The script, however, leaves something to be desired. It's all over the place and for me personally, it's too makjang, especially the final episodes. I think the biggest issue was that their past (especially the main couple's but also the other characters) was only touched upon, but it wasn't enough to make them seem 'human'. It didn't explain their divorce properly, or how they all became so selfish and unbearable. I kept waiting for more flashbacks, but it didn't happen until a brief perspective in the final episode, and, quite honestly, by then it was too late to be of much interest. Too much self-sacrifice, too much scheming and backstabbing and (attempted) murder and they were always left off the hook.
I think the episodes I enjoyed the most were actually in the middle, where the two families finally come together and scheme against the bad guys. It was refreshing and a more fun dynamic, beginning and end were overall just too solemn and the evil too powerful. The 2ML and his mother are batshit crazy...
Anyways, I don't really think I'll rewatch it, it left me heartbroken and bored too many times, there aren't enough comedic or heart-fluttering moments to make up for it. 8/10, only because the cast was phenomenal.

Really didn't think I'd love this drama as much as I do. It's really keeping me on the edge of my seat! Not everything makes total sense, but it's a good mix of comedy, heartbreak and suspense, and let's not forget the intense chemistry! So happy Byeon Woo Seok is finally getting a romance leading role, he's so so so fine. Okay, i'll stop swooning, seriously though, they better give us a really happy ending!

I am almost done with the drama, and I have to say, I am surprised by the overwhelming ratings it received that surpassed even a masterpiece like CLOY. I am not saying it's bad – it's just really not that good. Well, three episodes to go, maybe they will blow my mind?

I would say don't bother, I have the same issue with her acting and her character quickly gets very annoying.…
Yeah, Junho is one of my fav actors, but I still couldn't finish red sleeve because of her. Maybe I'll try again one day, but just really didn't feel it back then...
Ok, dropped at ep 8 after all, I just cannot anymore... I wish they'd stop adapting so many webtoons and web novels. No offense meant, I am sure there's some good stuff out there, but also a lot of very cheesy plots that don't hold a candle to published novels and dramas with a good original script. I've been extremely disappointed by romance dramas these past couple of years.
