I also always wondering that sentence, Hidaka understand why he had to switched with Mochizuki. But I thought it because deep inside Hidaka actually has a strong sense of justice. His colleagues describe him as fair person, his sister said he was loving brother. he knew exactly what his brother did is wrong, but he let it away because it almost like his brother last wish. Mochizuki with her strong sense of justice, reminded him about what he actually have to do.

With all this madness, I won't be mad if Itsuki is actually Sekuhara's wife . XD

I also think that Hidaka maybe took Mochizuki as a hostage to clear her name in front the police.

As for next episode preview, the scene where Hidaka and Mochizuki salute to someone inside the car, it felt like so out of character from Hidaka.
Maybe Hidaka switched his body again. But with whom?

(This series made me think different kind of crazy twist and I knew I will always wrong by the end of next ep)

At some point, I have this speculation that Azuma might be want Riku's body. I mean Riku is perfectly healthy. If they switched, Azuma won't die inside his sick body.
But he need Amami Oshima rock. That's why they have to go there.
But the whole switched body procedure is still quite vague. I mean, that particular night that mentioned by Hidaka, for how long it will be last? Or do you can switch with anybody as long as you hold that rock on that certain night and going through shocking experience (like falling).

And btw, who is the father of Itsuki's child?

I think, whole this time, Hidaka was actually searching for his brother, he knew about the manga and the number, Hidaka assumed that his brother will appear according to the number that was written on the wall.
But Hidaka always coming late, and he end up cleaning the crime scene (to protect his brother).
He look trouble at the end of ep 7 because he knew there was no way to cover up his brother crime anymore.
At trailer, they found out that it is a child tooth anyway.
Hell will finally break loose (i guess)

It's been a long time for me to obsess with one particular series, to the point I don't mind to watch it without subtitles XD.
Everything was almost on tract, but still many questions to answer.
My guess Hidaka and Azuma indeed switched at some point when they were at Amami Oshima. That why one guest tell the inn's owner that Hidaka is Azuma.
But they were switched back to their body before Hidaka switched with Mochizuki. I'm guessing this because Hidaka (in Mochizuki) didn't know the medicine that was taken by Azuma. If he was Azuma, why he didn't remember his own medicine?
I still like the theory from Ecosubs where she believed that Azuma in fact avoiding his little brother because he was afraid he will switch with Hidaka. Azuma knew he was dying inside his body, he might be didn't want Hidaka died inside his sick body while they were switched.
So Azuma was running away, and Hidaka was searching his own brother. Hidaka knew about the manga, he knew he will find his brother where the number called him. But he always arrive late. So he tried to cover his brother crime by clean everything.
Because he wants to protect his brother.
Event when he switched to Mochizuki. Hidaka wait at the last elder couple home with a wish his brother will eventually come. But Azuma saw Mochizuki first.

This theory might flew out the window at next ep (like usual) anyway :D

Honestly, I've also started to feel suspicious toward Riku's boss. The coat he's wearing almost similar with the one that are used by the "guy" who draw a number 9 gravity at episode 6 preview (but the one that Riku's boss wearing seem like didn't had a hoody).
I don't know.
This series made me suspicious to everybody but prove that I don't have enough evidence on the next episode XD
