This reminds me of chinese drama, The princess royal, the SML irritated to me that point that I dropped that drama. I'm not even a fan of ML of that drama still second ML was irritating. He had so much of screen space. Same thing happening here as well.

I liked Cheng yi's white hair(actually its a double role, He plays both Ying Yuan(ML) and Ying Yuan's fathers role). And its a grey character. And Cheng Yi with that white hair avatar with that bad boy dialogue did a phenomenal job there.

And how he tried to convince her that she will get some one who will love her. So why can't he let go his crush on XY who consider him as an older brother? I hate Xingyue's character. And she is his queen, the worst kind of partner any one can have. Both are selfish. They suit each other in that case.

Why CX is third wheeling XY and Jing? In the novel, its supposed to be Jing and XY alone with Haoling emperor when he told her about her parents...?

Isn't Yichen character played by the same actor who played character 'K' in "falling in to your smile" cdrama? He looks entirely different here. I couldn't even connect the dots if I didn't watch closely.

I don't blame Li Chuan for his changed behaviour. He had such huge pressure on him. One person who was so close to him was also robbed from him. Li Rong deserves the partial blame for all things happened.

I too thought why hadn't he replied like that. He could have said "I want to protect my mom and sis but that doesn't mean that i would curry favour to noble families". As an emperor he could protect his mom and sis and stay aloof from noble families.

I have deleted the sentence you have problem with. Between, I haven't read the novel. I just speculated it from one of the scene they showed from their past life. It was one of the earliest episode. And reg her death, everyone except PWX seems like a suspect to me.

Cang Xuan is getting on my nerves. He clearly know that XY consider him as her brother. He also know that XY loves Jing. Then why is he getting all possessive and territorial? How he threw away that Begonia garland and forced her to make him phoenix sachet is all showing his obsessed mentality. He claims that he wanted to be the emperor because he wanted XY to be happy. XY is happy with Jing. He clearly know how depressed she was when Jing was absent from her life. How lifeless she was. She always wanted to spend her life with someone who is devoted only to her. CX cant give her that. But Jing can. She was never interested in power or being princess. She wanted to practice medicine, then he emotionally blackmailed her and forced her to return with him. He want to cage her. Thats not love. Jing was the only one who loved her from the start. He fell in love with her when she was just Xiao Liu(Xiang Liu was also interested in her but what he wanted was her blood. Then later he fell in love. For Fenglong, its more like a political marriage. Nothing matters to him except his love for his country). I remember that CX was not interested in Xiao yao when she was in her Xiao Liu attire. He started showing interest after she changed her appearance. I clearly remember the scene when she got her female appearance back, he got mesmerized seeing her. Thats when he changed attitude towards her. Thats itself show how shallow his love is. Why can't he let her go and find her happiness??

Empress was a woman with dignity from start. She identified what a hypocrite emperor is from the start. Though I don't agree with the way she treated her children, iam glad that she never fell in love with that emperor.

I'm from Kerala.And Yes, I haven't heard such thing existed in Karnataka but in Tamilnadu, Andhra/Telengana & Kerala.
