Sooo can I watch this without watchin the first season cause it's not on Viki :/
TLT2 makes enough introduction and explanation to understand and enjoy it without watching TLT1. Some things are mentioned once again (as if they were said for the first time) and it also has some retrospection of the past - scenes filmed anew played by actors of TLT2.
In some points it's better even to forget TLT1 to avoid confusion, it's obvious the screenwriters of TLT2 had their own vision for the drama and made some modifications. To avoid spoiler, I will give a simple example: Wu Xie and Xie Yu Chen are shown in TLT2 as good childhood friends, but in TLT1 when Wu Xie met Huo family and Xie Yu Chen in Beijing, he had no idea who the people were (he was surprised they knew him). In season 1 nothing gets ever explained and it ends with questions only. Though season 2 is the continuation, it has things and characters presented differently.
Xiao Ge (ZQL) is a complicated character, has his own secrets and is not trusted at all (hard to tell if he's a "friend"), but you will get that much watching season 2 and also some references to season 1 in the right moment of events help understand the insecure relation between Wu Xie and Xiao Ge.

from the same agency? i don't think so... they would just let Hou Ming Hao continue, instead just giving away Wu Xie of next season to his company colleague - difficult to imagine for me and i haven't heard such rumours from Chinese fans (and believe me there are reasons why Neo's fans keep a watch on Joseph Zeng, will not tell it loud here)
btw, didn't you tell that TLT3 was already filmed last year with Zhu Yi Long?

what false rumours spread on MDL again?
Hou Ming Hao is currently filming for "A Chinese Ghost Story" (for about 3 months) and there is no info on Chinese side about 二十不惑 to be his next project
if there are any "sources" saying that, then still at this stage these are only rumours as he's not confirmed yet to be filming the drama (hasn't started filming yet)

what's more, somebody here claims it will be released in 2019... are you kidding me? how do you want to see it in 2019 if it's not filmed yet? for sure not with Neo starring...

Xu Kennedy is not the screenwriter of The Lost Tomb 2 - a false role attributed

the screenwriters for The Lost Tomb 2 are:
Tian Liang Liang, Meng Yang, Chen Chen, Li Ang, A Shun, Liu Qin Zhi
and the script consultants are:
Huang Jie, Bai Yi Cong, Zhang Hui
(according to the opening credits which have original English descriptions)

Xu Lei is an author of the book from which the drama got adapted

I have doubts about him being a screenwriter for other parts too because he is a writer/novelist (as such he should be included in a book database, not in a film database) and I cannot see sources confirming that he was involved in screenwriting for dramas:
- Chinese wikipedia mentions him as a producer of 2 dramas, but not a screenwriter
- his biography on baike baidu says that the first time he served as a screenwriter it was for the MOVIE 盗墓笔记 (Time Raiders 2016)

Although the crew celebrated completion last July, they still had to wait half a year for winter conditions to finish filming. Hou Ming Hao had additional shooting in The Changbai Mountains in days Dec 30, 2018 - Jan 2, 2019.

to me from the very first day, Hou Ming Hao has been a singer in the first place - a great singer with a unique voice, and exceptional abilities
I love him as an actor too, but it causes my pain that new songs come only with soundtrack for dramas (or as covers), either BGT is too stingy to contract songs for him, or there's too little time to record more songs...
despite the video using this old picture, I posted anyway especially for those who don't watch TLT2 - the song is fantastic, and Neo's voice so flawless, so powerful

it's just that the other drama had started earlier, for TLT2 it's been only 3 days since the release, so the majority that voted was the viewers of the ongoing drama, now it's 21% for TLT2, my hopes are, if it rises to 25% till next Thursday, maybe they will start subbing sooner
