Can someone, who had read the manhua, give me more details of the story in general. The description above is so vague that I don't really know what this drama is about. Does this have a happy ending? Absolutely no BE or tragic ending. Thank you.
Just read a comment in Weibo and Douban and I would like to share the rumor here that SHL initially was planned…
I read somewhere that the production ran into a lot of problems before filming due to the pandemic. I have always wanted to know how much it cost to make a historical drama like this so this is very informative. Thanks for sharing. I hope the production company will consider releasing the original planned 45 ep and named it Word of Honor Special Edition (like TU did).
Genuinely sick of the homophobes roaming around. Wenzhou are a couple canonically and would be considered as such…
I know right. I don't see homosexual people going around trying to persuade heterosexual people to agree with them or to switch to their teams. Why do people care so much what goes behind the closed doors? Do you go around and ask people what positions or how you do it with your partner so why go hissy fit with who they sleep with? Spend all that energy in fixing things that are more important like end child/domestic abuse, or end hunger.
I thought she was like a kid in a candy store for the first time then I found out after reading the novel that it was literally like that... her first time outside of the Ghost Valley so she had no concept how a young girl should act. I'm going to keep an eye on Zhou Ye - I think she will be an amazing actress in the future.
I'm seeing the AvenueX live video, and the reason why the World of Honor ending was not aired (given as easter…
I haven't watched AvenueX so this is based on my interpretation. It never said that WKX die at the end of ep 36. We only see him passed out (or rather slump slightly). When the adult Chengling told his junior disciples about the condition of the person learning the "six harmonies" technique he never said the person who transferred his energy to the other would die, but would have his meridians gradually destroyed. ZZS's meridians were slowly being destroyed by the nails therefore, in his case, this technique worked in saving his life. In addition, it was mentioned when Ye Baiyi learned this technique with his partner the other person also didn't die. YBY said "perhaps the reason I lived for so long was to fulfill the purpose of today". IMO, the possibility of the life force YBY gave WKX would help maintain WKX's life once his meridians were destroyed. As a result it made sense WKX only passed out after he helped heal ZZS. WKX gave ZZS the book of Yin Yang as they entered the Armoury and this book was known to help heal severed meridians. This detail was shot for a reason. Therefore, I LOVE this ending, I don't need the bonus to tell me that those two idiots didn't end up together. On a note of the ending of The Untamed, which is the final nail in the coffin for me (there were a lot of plot holes in TU I didn't like, love the novel though), was that ending. I don't live in China or have any understanding of the censorship but I didn't think it would be wrong to show WWX & LZ united to travel where-ever chaos are and fight the bad guys like LZ had been doing for the 16 years WWX were dead.
He's so amazing in those short films/drama. He reminded me of Jackson Yi in term of acting...young but explosive on screen. When I was watching Painted Skin all I saw was him as Xie Lian so I hope to see him in tgcf.
Maybe you should wait for the release of episode 37, if they delete that scene , its a happy ending. https://twitter.com/jungasukide/status/1374742119315873792
my gosh they are...every movements of an artist are being dissected, examined under the microscope and evaluated at all angels. It's suffocating. I like our international fans much better.

I don't agree with the screenwriter. If that is the ending she originally wanted it then stand by it. She now blamed on 3 years of immaturity level. The production company had time to edit the ending to end it where the HE the screenwriter mentioned in the post. Is she backpedaling on her ending because the drama gets more popular than anticipated or for more money?
Bonus: WKX has the martial arts to back up his big mouth (Priest even said that in a fight, WKX would beat YBY)
I think I saw it in Twitter, someone translated an interview with Priest. According to her, WKX's fight has no techniques. He lived in a place where a fight would be between life or death, therefore when he fought it would always be ruthless. ZZS and YBY did ask WKX about his martial arts since they didn't recognize any of them.
