Nah...the illegal uploads have terrible quality. Plus, I'm kinda spoiled, no commercials, no ads, no weird junks/virus for me.

I do support the artists. I have Youku VIP+ where you can get extra 3 ep. Unfortunately, my Chinese is worse than GJ's singing so at this time, it's like watching silent films. I watch the English subs on YT as the ep comes out. I'm also reading the translating novel up to Ch 74. I don't think it is wrong for me to want to know what's going on in a language that I can understand. I am sure most of us here are slaves to mortgages or rents and want to make money like GJ.

I love Xie Ying, the scriptwriter. I will keep an eye out for her future works. I took a few courses of Chinese language and literature when I was in college. China has such an incredible history and poetry.

I would never believe this had low budget. It's to show that you don't have to spend a lot for a masterpiece. I, personally, don't like a lot of CGI. I like the good old fashion hand-to-hand combat. The dialogue is awesome so kudos to the scriptwriter.

Exactly!! If the character is 16 yo then get an actor/actress that relative young in age to portrait, not someone in late 20's or early 30's. I'm talking about Legend of Fei. I had hard time imaging the MF at that age with her mature face. I ended up dropping the drama about 1/4 of the way.

I can't believe I found someone who shared my love for oldies. Chor Lau Heung was my first cdrama. I told my mom that I would marry him (Michael Miu) - mom yelled at me that it would be over her dead body bc he was 20 years older than me and I hadn't started first grade yet. Like you, I agree that Michael is the only Yang Kang for me and NOBODY can play Yeung Guo like Andy Lau. I had seen the Handsome Siblings after watching My Roommate is a Detective, of course just to check Hu Yitian out. I already put some of your recommendations on to watch list.

I love what you wrote there. I grew up watching Wuxia's movies with my mom. She loved the Five Tiger generals of TVB and had watched all of their movies (so had I, the perk of being a minor and had to live at home with parents at that age). What caught my eyes with this drama is GJ and how much he resembles Michael Miu, my mom's favorite actor. I absolutely love the pacing, the lack of rubbish/filler scenes and the good old fashion Wuxia fighting style.

I'm rooting for the happy ending. I saw a clip circulating around WKX with white hair and ZZS - the martial arts move showed in the clip appeared to be the same one they first used on each other (in the ruined temple with the boat man). I'm thinking that would be the ending clip.

I meant the opening theme song at 0:26-0:27. I don’t know what episode it will appear in. I’m only at ep 7.

In the opening scene where there were 2 boys throwing rocks into the river/water, one of the boy was wearing this hair piece. In one of the interviews, it was mentioned that WKX put it on ZZS's hair for Xiang's wedding and he kept it since. I can't wait for that scene!

My theory is it may have to do with curing ZZS. I haven’t read the novel but it has been discussed that it has HEA ending so ZZS didn’t die. The question is how was he cured?

Now I'm curious also....hopefully, it will be revealed later on (?) I'm on episode 5. If not, I will pick up reading the novel once it finished translating

I think he recognized the "foot-work" belonged to a certain sec. From there I wouldn't think it would be hard for WKX to figure ZZS's identity.

Do I have to watch the two previous ones before watching this one? Thanks.
