One thing I really appreciate about this drama is how realistic the breakups between the former couples feel.
For the first couple, the female lead wanted to get married because, to her, marriage was a promise for the future. The second male lead, on the other hand, is a spontaneous and free-spirited person, so the idea of marriage simply didn't suit him. It wasn't that he wanted an easy way out or planned to cheat on her—he just lived in the present and believed that, as long as they were together, that was enough. Ghosting her was definitely the wrong thing to do, but it seemed more like he couldn't bring himself to tell her directly that he didn't want the same future she did.
As for the second couple, they had been together for seven years. Unfortunately, the man simply fell out of love and developed feelings for someone else. He didn't even intend to confess to the other woman; he just realized that he couldn't continue a relationship when his feelings had changed.
I really like how the drama portrays these relationships. The breakups aren't driven by over-the-top misunderstandings or unnecessary drama.
