Grandma was the one who started everything But she and DM never had a talk about that. JP did grandma a favor 15 years ago and then he also helped her out. He ensured that DM never got hurt. He didn’t get any benefits from the lies and in fact fell in love with DM and got hurt by multiple people, from grandma to DS and sst guys.
DS actively lied because he liked DM since the first time they met. He should have told the truth after that or ep4 when DM said she liked DS in the letter. He did ask HJP to get into sandbox (which is outrageous) and I’m glad that JP kept his integrity to decline him. DS told JP ep 3: why not fool her until the end when JP wanted to end it. Ep6 DM wanted the truth and DS blocked JP.
This drama DS took several wrong opportunities, since his childhood to DM. Yes, he got everything in the end while JP was the one to cry in the last episode.

Yes, when we have high expectations, the disappointment will be... One more way (if you become a fan of KSH) is to binge Seonhohadas content on Twitter or Instagram #KimSeonho. It’s quite fun everyday, but there’s no content, many will go back to HJP heartbreak, so be prepared :).
Or you can watch his other healing dramas You drive me crazy or Catch the ghost. They are very good ones and you will want more of him :).

Sorry for late reply. These dramas are quite heavy and often have no romance. I have been quite tired of love stories, so I am now watching mostly thrillers. I came back to romance with SU and it turned out so badly :). Now I remember High Society. The main character is a grey on.

I understand your feeling. It was really bad for many of us when it was on air. It was so bad after it ended for weeks. Many are still grieving.

So if you feel this bad watching SU even when we all know the ending, it may get worse for you. I can’t even get myself through episode 15 and 16. I hate seeing HJP crying in the last ep and his scene with DM in the bridge.

My advice is maybe watching it with someone who is not so emotional and trying to understand DS and DM from a different perspective that you’re holding now.

For me, I accept that if DM is not with him, it would be so hard for DS to find someone else because of his chronic low-self esteem which hadn’t been helped for so long and the writer didn’t treat it until the end. So, HJP would be happy in the next episode of his life. DM, the girl who was crazy 15 years for the one writing her beautiful letters, couldn’t tell him anything properly after the revelation, doesn’t deserve his heart.

I love this. I was wondering the same things after the drama ended.

DM’s mom in the end feels strange for me. We have three versions of her in three stages. Another strange thing is she never had a real talk it out with DM when she moved into the house. Did she have any? I may miss it. And DM never cares to confront anyone in her life :)))

I think I know some of them but they are quite heavy.
Kill it, Duel, Doctor Prisoner, Tell me what you saw, cross. The issues they addressed in these dramas are intriguing.

It’S hard to move on for me too. But I stopped watching HJP these days. I love Kim Rae Wan and Go Ji Seok as characters very much. Have you watched You drive me crazy and Catch the ghost? Healing dramas. Thanks for your last comments to my posts. I need to work on something so I refrain myself from this. I will be back to celebrate the landmark :)

After rewatching some episodes and discussions with my husband, I wrote another review for this drama. I believe that there was no major plot change regarding the romance part. The writer really intended the Dodal endgame. But the writing cannot convince many viewers. The timeskip was written in rush and didn’t make sense. However, it happens in real life that DM would choose DS instead of JP. I explained about this in my review.

Technical part was weak and wrong in many ways. The writer did offend my husband who is an It developer. I’ll write about some technical facts I learnt from him later when I have time.

I don’t know. As long as he stays true to himself and being humble as he is now, he’ll be fine. I think people like him as an actor and personality. I am looking forward to his next project. People will turn to him because of his acting, so small or big roles he will have. He also stays in theater and 2d1n, so enough for him to be happy as he always wants.

The thing with KSH is he doesn’t just act as the script tells. He thinks a lot about the character in relationship with other characters. Because he’S quite compassionate, he will try to make characters more humane. So whatever role he plays, you may end up crying and sympathizing with his character I guess. In CTG, there were lots of adlibs and the director encouraged him to do so. As the director said he’s a well-prepared actoR. I became fan of him after that drama, even though its ratings decreased towards the end. I always want to rewatch his scenes. So really hope to see more works of him. Good scripts please.

This drama made characters like DM, JP and Grandma unrealistic. How could grandma keep the lie for 15 years, WHY must she tell JP to fin DS, while not tell him to act as DS just for a day? How could a capable JP do nothing about his love interest? What did he do in those 15 years? Had he ever found them? Why did DM’s mom never care for her all those 15 years given how rich she was?... so many things I just didn’t have time to write. And DS as the male lead? Haizzzz

You got me here. I stopped watching romance dramas for two years because I didn’t find them interesting anymore. Then this startup came and I watched it while it was on air for KSH. It turned out to be very bad. I don’t remember any drama with lots of frustrations and plot holes and character abuse like this one. I mean the writer sabotaged every character for the endgame. Sending lots of wrong and confusing messages to young people and to older viewers, the writer played with our hearts and joked at us probably. The main couple is one of the worst in the Kdrama land for their personality and boring love story.

It’s a pity because the story has potential, the directing and editing were so good. Big budget, but lazy writing. I considered this a missed opportunity for Suzy and KSH as they look quite good together if they were to act more passionately towards each other. My only hope is that KSH will come back with a strong drama. At least Strongest delivery man and Catch the ghost are relatable and have better stories in my opinion.

Indeed, I would be ok for JP to be a second lead if DS proved worthy as the first lead. However, DS totally lost me later. He was fine in the beginning. Why made him unlikable to the point he punched his mentor at work? JP suffered after three years left such a bad taste. Anyway, I keep JP in my heart, waiting for KSH next drama :)

I think he has been emphasized that he would choose to do what makes him happy and roles that are relatable. For me, all his roles in dramas so far whether small or lead have been well-loved. I hope he will choose good roles in good dramas in the future. I mean I love him in CTG and Waikiki 2. Even though they are not popular like startup, they bring out good and postitive messages. I would like to see him in those dramas where he can be himself on set and happy with other actors.

I’m listening to ost part 16 for HJP. It is heartbreaking still. I still cannot process this writer’s logic.

Watching this MV, I feel like the writer gave HJP too many scenes where we could see how he felt and reflected on what was happening around him. That we didn’t see much from DS and DM. So it really feels like he’S the main lead of the story. Even when they cut his time, other characters still acted around his decisions and interactions with them. If you leave out DS character, you still can have a story. But if you cut HJP, there’S nothing because it all started with him.

My husband is watching this drama. Now he’S at the 5 ep. I didn’t spoil him. He watched to understand why I am so ”toxic”. His theory in episode 3 is the writer while writing suddenly loved DS character, because his character’s likability peaked in this episode. She got lost just like DM. She chose him over HJP. Still doesn’t explain why she made DS so bad in the latter part of the drama.

Ep 5, he didn’t like DS anymore. He said DS started to get jealous and his behaviors as a coder was not good. He didn’t even have qualities of a CTO for breaking his pen at such an easy situation. There are many issues with the techical/it part of this drama that he had to stop at every scene to explain to me. I will write about them later.

Anyway, three weeks after, I still cried for this sad character, even KSH is getting all the praises and laughters nowadays :(.

I saw his high school picture on Instagram, his nose looked even better then :)) some people couldn’t handle how popular he has become. If you watch 2d1n, you see his nose changes as he does something with his expression. With plastic surgery, the nose would look quite fixed. Am I right?

I think just because would be acceptable if no marriage. But I am sure that the writer could not come up with other reasons than big hands, trophy, and heart fluttering. This is because DM already told: she likes how nosy JP is, his letters comforted her, she cared a lot about him, she was grateful to him. She knows what food he likes. She bought warm foods for him.... how could the writer change them all to DS convincingly? It’s very hard.
