Yeah, I came to c drama world after Aches of Love and The Untamed, but just after To The Wonder I found out that this world is much more versatile, beautiful and high quality than I thought according to idol dramas. It's a shame that most international fans judge by idol dramas, without having a full picture of their fav's true place in the industry. I'm also just beginning to discover mainstream dramas. But I already see that mdl stars leaderboard is a joke XD but it gives a wrong picture to newcomers.

Because all those repetitive tropes about generals and fallen nobles became so copy/pasted and boring as hell, only fanbases of leads make it look like smth worthy through social media buzz, but it's not.
And every time there is another hate train about GJM and his dramas and why he's still in the industry, I'm like hello, at least he's standing alone and trying to be creative. And if you don't get his stories, it's just your mind became too narrow to embrace smth deeper and more layered than all those repetitive tropes you get used to.
