While we don't have any approved info about next Rui's drama, I suggest to speculate a bit, just for fun. What kind of role would you like to see next?

I remember Rui mentioned that he wants to film in a comedy and the role of a person with a mental disorder. I'm sure once he gets any of these we'll celebrate hard 😊

As for me, I'd love to see him in a modern drama with a bit of romance, but more about countryside farming, where he could play a role close to his personality as a young worker on a horse farm. It could even be not the main lead but be among strong mature actors, with deep psychology, natural acting, strong script, a lot of sunlight and beautiful landscapes, and atmospheric ost. Smth like To The Wonder.

I was bored this morning, so I did some research. Let's take a look at the shooting sequence of GJM's dramas.

MJTY was being filmed from December 2022 to March 2023 (airing started 2023-Sep-02)
FoF 2023-Oct-01 to 2024-Feb-18 (airing 2024-Oct-26)
Hidden Shadow 2024-Jan-24 to 2024-Jun-11 (not aired yet)
VoS 2024-Dec-02 to TBA

What we have from these statistics:
- every drama takes an average 4.5 months of shooting
- post-production and releasing take from 5 months (less CGI) to 8 months (more CGI)
- GJM takes 5-6 months breaks between shooting dramas BUT >>>
- an interesting fact: HS filming started 3 weeks earlier than FoF wrapped up 👀

SO. Following this sequence we could expect that VoS is wrapping up in the middle of April 2025 and airing in January 2026.

The next announced dramas we can expect after VoS are:
- Chang Ye Chang An (no cast confirmed) - GJM presented it personally at some event in June 2024 - dark fantasy detective with 2 MLs
- Removing Armor (rumoured, TJR as ML rumoured) - this drama has a page on MDL so maybe it's a bit more than just a rumour - costume romantic drama?
- Wo Xin Er Er (rumoured, no cast) - fantasy romantic drama?


My guess, the next one will be Chang Ye Chang An 🤓
