If you give this drama a chance it really is a cute and fun slice-of-life rom-com. My major grievance is that it seems they spend a lot of time building a story line just to make a complete 180 at the end. I thought I was getting a nice Noona drama with all the buildup....and then the end happened. The celebrity cameos were a nice touch though. I recognized most, if not all, of them!
Hmmm...I see what this drama was trying to do in making a mature, and more realistic love story, but it just never really got there for me. It wasn't bad, but I've wanted to watch this one for a while so the buildup might have ruined it for me a bit. I didn't mind that it was an older drama, but the characters were so frustrating: they butted-in when you wanted them to shut up and then they were silent cowards when I needed them to stand up for themselves! I don't know, this just wasnt my drama, but that's another tick off my PTW, so yay for that!
Leave it to a Kdrama to make me have second lead syndrome for the "main" character! This was an awesome drama, but I couldn't help but prefer Sun Ae to Bong Seon, even Sun Ae as Na Bong Seon was better for me than just plain Bong Seon. *.* Oh my feels are still confused, but I enjoyed this so much and both actresses shined.
I was intrigued by the plot and was hopeful when I started watching. My biggest disappointment is that as horrible as Kawee was, I was expecting his redemption to be so much greater. I didn't get that, so it was hard to root for him in the end. On the plus side, Rin's character was a lot stronger than I've seen other female characters in similar dramas with the same plot, so her switch from hatred to love was subtle and more believable. That helped redeem this for me, a bit. Still, I prefer Sealed with a Kiss as far as buildup that leads to love.
I'm glad that Xia Mo ends up with the guy I was rooting for, but boy was it frustrating along the way! I'm not sure if it was the character or Barbie's acting in this role but I never knew what Xia Mo was thinking or if she was a good or bad character until the final episodes. Had I gotten a better idea of her vulnerability throughout the drama (instead of her best dead robot imitation) I might have ranked this higher.
I wish this drama was ranked higher. I enjoyed it more than some of the higher ranked/popular ones on MDL. Cute story all the way to the end. I'll be honest: It didn't matter what Zi Qi did, I still squealed whenever he appeared on screen :-*
RI Ta's character/the actress was disappointing. She kind of ruined the romance aspect for me. I never really warmed up to her character even when she 'softened' a bit.
I really liked it (especially when Qing Chuan & 8th Prince make cameos) but it didn't need to be THIS long. By the time I was on the last few episodes the niceness of Lian Er was just frustrating and the bad endings for the evil characters weren't as good as I would have hoped. BUT it was cheesy and cute and the ending salvaged alot of the flaws for me! Glad I finally watched it, but I'm not going to continue with the series. This was a good place to stop for me :)
This was all kinds of awesomeness, but because of the ending I could only give it a 9. Other than that I loved it. I do love to hate a good villain ;-)
the quality is so-so but it was the only place I could find Eng Subs¯\_(ツ)_/¯
