Title Jang Ok Jung
I love when shows tell the story from the "villian's" POV. She never goes full on evil, but she does get quite crazy in her plots and actions. She comes full circle and there is redemption, (which makes the ending even sadder). This is a classic love story written around what happens when good people are pushed too far. And even though there are a lot of light and cute moments, this is a historical palace drama. So no surprise happy endings and not everyone gets whats coming to them. All in all I'd say it was good, not great,

El Temur - great acting.Tal Tal too!
Even though he wasn't a "main" character, my heart broke at the very end when they say he dies in battle. I mean, he was her teacher and as close of a friend she had
On The Princess Wei Young Feb 18, 2017
This was an ok historical, but by no means the best. There were 1 or 2 plot holes that were never addressed, and for some reason I just never found myself really invested in the main leads. And the amount of times Wei Young is framed became annoying. I'm used to plots and secret alliances that are concealed better, but this was over the top and obvious frame ups every few episodes. It got repetitive. I will say that I'm happy with how smart and independent Wei Young was. That's what made me want to watch to begin with. In that respect this one did not disappoint.

Title Empress Ki
I'll admit to watching this for Ji Chang Wook, & it's been on my PTW list for ages. I was hesitant to commit to a lengthy Sageuk bc they tend to get repetitive & there's only so many eps of evil consorts and plots I can take b4 I just drop it out of frustration. But this masterpiece ... I have no words. This broke my heart in the best way possible! Empress Ki had such an independent female lead that could not only take care of herself but is ready and willing to go on the attack against her enemies. It was wonderful. Not to mention the OTP I was rooting for end up together (no spoilers). That always helps :-) Empress Ki has ruined me for all other female leads to come. Now, I find it hard to watch those helpless female leads that just allow things to happen to them with no fight. What the heck am I supposed to watch next?! The struggle is real :'-(
On Love in the Moonlight Feb 14, 2017
This was such a nice love story that was perfectly cast. Park Bo Gum as the Crown Prince was so adorable and playful it warmed my heart. Anyone else in this role and it just wouldn't be the same. I'll have to make sure to keep an eye out for any future dramas of his, he's made me fan!

Title Bromance Spoiler
This series had me from the 1st episode and held my interest up until the end. The chemistry between the leads was perfect, and the kiss scenes were realistic and a nice change of pace from the reluctant and stiff kisses I've seen in some of my K-dramas. Nearly a perfect rom-com for me ... and then the writers committed THE biggest drama sin, which is a huge pet peeve of mine: they made it so that the last episode revealed a key piece of info about a main character that the audience should have known! The entire plot revolves around Pi Ya Nuo keeping her secret that she's a girl from everyone, especially Du Zi Feng. Last episode reveals that he's known for at least 9 episodes, and he's told his entire family! I am not a fan of leaving the audience out on info. Zi Feng's revelation wasn't shown to the viewer until the last few minutes of the series, neither was when/how he told his family. They all just joked about it and kept it moving. NO hints that they knew or anything! If this were a mystery series I'd be able to understand but it's a simple gender bending rom-com. No excuses. And if the writers were going to have Zi Feng know for half the series, they missed a good opportunity to explore their relationship where the viewer was in on Zi Feng knowing too. IDK, it just completely rubbed me the wrong way.

Title Bring It On, Ghost Spoiler
This was such an awesome drama. Solid in all aspects. I'm so glad this drama was able to find a good balance between horror with the ghost stories, romance with the OTP and humor. It reminds me of Master's Sun in this way. One of the only things that bugged me was how the Professor's story ended. It was so unfair and sad! He was possessed by an evil spirit for 20+ years, but Bong Pal and the monk treated him as if he deserved his fate bc at one point, when he was a teenager, he was mad enough at his abusive father to want to kill him! Um duh! I get it. Someone was going to be punished for all those people dying but still.... :'-(
On When a Snail Falls in Love Feb 5, 2017
I really wanted to love this drama BUT it was so short! I think this is one of the few dramas I can honestly say would have benefited from more/longer episodes. Especially for the final episodes where everything felt rushed and slightly unresolved. On a happy note, the drama has made me want to read the novel now. SO there is that... ^.^

Title Love O2O Spoiler
This was good, but I expected a bit more, especially from the main characters. They were so STIFF it took away from the mood most of the time. I'd be really into a scene with Wei Wei and Xiao Nai and the awkwardness was too much (and not in a cute rom-com kinda way). Because of that my favorite couple ended up being Hao Mei and KO, and they only had a few minutes of screen time the entire series (& were never really an official couple)! If they ever made a 2nd season or spin -off I'd hope they's leave Wei Wei and Xiao Nai out and have the main be Hao Mei and KO. As far as CHinese rom-coms go I prefer Boss & Me: The male lead is stiff in that too, but at least the female is more animated and relatable.

Such a breath of fresh air! Just the right amount of fluff, drama, slice of life and school genre all rolled into 16 episodes of fun. And can I just say that if only more dramas would follow this outline for how a guy/girl romance is supposed to look (with interest on BOTH sides) I might not have been in a drama-slump for over year! Awesome!!

Title The Imperial Doctress Spoiler
Such a love hate feel for this one: I loved the chemistry between Qi Zhen and Yun Xian and I'm not opposed to a slow burn romance but they NEVER get together. At all. And meanwhile she ends up with Qi Yu who I end up just hating at the end for how he treats her in the last 10 eps. After 50 episodes and my OTP only get a lingering glance in the last minute, not even a loving embrace! Ugh.

Title The Legend of Zu Spoiler
I was loving every second of this series... and then they had to go and add a rape plot line, that didn't do anything for the story except make it harder to finish. Honestly, the way everyone treated Tu Mei afterwards really did not sit well with me. And then they killed everyone! (not EVERYONE, but still), and gave us that meh kind of ending. I still give this a solid 8 because the majority of the series was adorable and fun. But it left me SO disappointed :-(
On Novoland: The Castle in the Sky Jan 18, 2017
Its rare to find a historical drama about royalty that isn't SO ... well, dramatic! Even though it got really heavy at the end, the majority of the drama is nice and somewhat light (in comparison to other historicals about royals).
On My Amazing Boyfriend May 30, 2016
Just a cute, fluffy, ridiculous rom-com that will make you smile. And the 28 eps go by super quick. My only gripe is the ending. just...REALLY?!
On Happy Once Again May 24, 2016
Adorable! I'll admit that the actors kept me watching once the predictability kicked in, and some of the plots/characters became frustrating. Other than that, this was a solid drama with a modern feel on love and marriage.
On Descendants of the Sun May 19, 2016
What a way to come out of a drama slump! Its not one of my favs, but I really just enjoyed watching this one. Its got a bit of everything with some sincerely funny moments.
On Tale of Arang Apr 18, 2016
I don't know why but it started strong but never really came back around for me. It ended up taking MONTHS for me to finish this. Usually I would just abandon the series, but it was rated so highly I thought I was missing something, so I kept going. IDK just wasnt IT for me :-(

Title Love Shuffle
Solid casting and cute moments weren't enough to save this drama for me. I think it was trying to hard to be funny AND send a message. If it had picked one to do in the 10 episodes I might have ranked it higher...
