Where did you watch all the 49 episodes? I thought only 27 or something were released on viki pass? BTW, can you spoil me if it has an happy endingl? I just started and can feel the angst coming and I'm weak lol

On another episode (that they seem to have forgotten lol), Type said that the boss hated him because he thought the nurse (his girlfriend or love interest, can't remember) was hitting on him despite it not being true and Type not making any moves or anything. Maybe if he knows that Type has a boyfriend, whoever it is, it will calm his horses lol

Every show, even the highest rated got their rating very down with the change of the algorithm but I'm still baffled at how does ITSAY keep dropping so much.. 8.8?? Wtf!

So how are we feeling after the last documentary episode? I cried over Billkin crying over having slapped PP with too much force and I cried over the ending of them hugging each other. This whole team really put all their heart and soul into making this series, don't touch me I'm fragile!

Also I love the perfectionism in Boss with his reshoots to achieve the best final result possible.

He did the right decision! The reshoot looked so much more intense!

Have you watched both episodes? I thought the second episode was better than the first and the pacing was better plus held the suspense more. But I agree with you on the quality of the sound and editing and it's annoying that such a production with such wonderful actors and interesting story has this low budget feel to it. The directors are very reputable with quality works under their belt, so I can only imagine what could have been done with a higher budget. But I'm enjoying so far and I'm very excited to see more. This is a breath of fresh air in Thai BL.

I watched the first episode today. It was cute but too soon to say if it will be good or not. Looks good. First episode is already subtitled on Viki and the second one will probably be translated soon so I'm waiting for it.

I feel zero need of a female love interest in this series. The wangxian love is so beautiful and I'm so glad they didn't ruin it with a female love interest.

I think the first part of the theory seems true, about him feeling uneasy and wanting to confess/probably even confessing plus some angst. However, I don't think Kurosawa would accept to have sex with Adachi under these terms, he'd feel Adachi was doing it out of desperation and wouldn't want it and I don't think Adachi would want to drink and get Kurosawa drunk to have sex like this.

ITSAY had decreased 0.6 or even more I think in a very short time too due to this change. Though I agree that there were lots of spam ratings and ratings "too soon", I still find it odd that some shows had such big decreases.

Yes I agree. There is lots of homophobia and ignorance in the "BL community" (mainly from fujoshi straight girls).

Not long ago 2 Thai actors that are a ship in a BL series were in a press conference interview and the idiot reporter had the audacity to ask the 2 actors who was the woman and who was the man and then looking at one of them and saying that they though that he was the woman/female protagonist. The poor boy wasn't understanding what the hell they were talking about and the other actor had to ask the dumb reporter something like "why not 2 male protagonists?" / " aren't we 2 men?" or something like this. I've also seen other actors expressing discomfort in being called wifey in real life. I'll also never understand this heteronormative wifey/hubby thing that is usually people making gross assumptions about the sex life of the couples. Yes, I've seen gay couples using these terms themselves for them, but that doesn't make it ok to use these terms on others like this.

I feel so bad for the actors who have to read these types of comment on social media. And the worst is that as I said even on face to face interviews they had to endure the ignorance and disrespect of these people.

I think episode 5 was better than episode 4, but still not up to pair with s1. The amount of cringe scenes and cringe dialogue was less in this episode than in the last episodes. I liked the scene between Type and Phugun and the scene of Type resting his head on Tharn's shoulder, I also liked the scene when Type apologizes to Tharn. But other than that there is still barely any plot 5 episodes in and I wasn't interested in much of what was going on. I usually have a hard time watching the Champdoctor scenes and this was no exception.

There is this idea of BL authors that there needs to be some kind of toxicity in the relationships (stalking, assault, unhealthy jealousy) to create interesting tension to spice up the series. Even though yes, it is usually necessary some tension to create excitement in a series, it doesn't need to be toxicity or the usual toxic troupes we unfortunately see a lot in BLs. And Cherry Magic is proof that you don't need that at all to do a series that is not boring and that keeps you wanting more and more. Sometimes light, romcom with wholesome characters when well written and acting can be so good. This series brings me so much joy!

I love that Kurosawa never tried any moves on Adachi as his main concern is that Adachi feels comfortable. He lets him define the pace of the relationship according to what he feels comfortable and respects that Adachi needs time. And he always respected this, before and after knowing about Adachi's inexperience... for 7 years! This is why he's one of my favorite BL leads. He also supports Adachi in him conquering his fears and is a positive influence in his life. And Adachi though shy and nervous, is so brave and honest. Kudos!

We also had ace rep with Fujisaki and they don't use the crazy fujoshi woman troupes nor crazy girl trying to break up the couple troupes with her. Plus we have the direct mention of a character being gay, which is rare in most BL of this type.

Though it's a light hearted short series, it does more for positive queer representation than many other series.
