Such a relaxing drama to watch. I thought I would find this boring although I'm only on the first couple of episodes, I'm enjoying watching them do mundane stuff. The background is also so stunning. The sounds, music and the overall tone gives off a peaceful, serene vibe. A nice break from the more intense paced dramas and just from life in general.
This reminds me of the movie 'Little Forest' which I loved so if they keep the vibe of the drama, Ill be enjoying this one up till the end.
And the main leads are so wonderful in their roles, a perfect fit.
One Litre of Tears is absolutely one of my fave dramas. Each episode was poignant and up till now, some of the scenes are still so vivid in my memory. I understand what you mean about enjoying a drama despite its ending. For me to really appreciate it though, it must have a solid story to hold its own weight without the episodes solely being there to lead us into a tragic ending, just for the sake of being tragic.
What frustrates me the most is a story going down a path, spending most of its episodes foreshadowing a tragic happening without much going for it other than to evoke a gloomy feeling. Especially dramas that choose to end tragic when it obviously could have gone the happy way. That’s just unforgivable. Lol. I can watch something with a tragic ending provided it makes sense and there’s no other way for it to end.
I've been avoiding this one mainly because almost everyone who watched it had an issue with the ending... but with so many dramas airing lately, I can't seem to fix myself into watching any. I guess I'm just gonna ignore those comments about the ending and go for it
The trailer is sooo interesting. Food+Korea+some backstory? Sounds like a great combination. I loved Little Forest (I've only seen the Korean Version), I know theme wise this movie and Little Forest are really different but they have similar feels. Looking forward to this!
You will be satisfied. I loved Mo Yuan so much & still do & my heart was aching for him, but Ye Hua won over my…
Thanks everyone! I finished it and I liked it. My favourite has definitely got to be the last few episodes. So heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. I'm eagerly waiting for The Pillowbooks now.
Whoa they literally changed the air date just today. Finally, it seemed we would be waiting a while before then! I finished Eternal Love a week ago and they made the drama lighter only to break our hearts after lol
Aww, My Mister is the best drama! I watched Queen In Hyun’s man after My Ahjussi. Completely different genres but exactly what I needed to slowly get away from My Ahjussi. Queen In Hyun’s man (assuming you havent watched it yet) was fun, entertaining and very engrossing. I needed something I wouldn’t be able to compare with My Ahjussi and this one did the trick.
I'm currently at episode 3 (I know, only the third) but have read that the female lead will end up not with Mo Yuan but with the twin, Ye Hua? I felt disappointed because I'm liking the way their relationship is shaping up. Mo Yuan definitely likes her. Will it become more acceptable towards the middle??? I feel bad for Mo Yuan
Wow I just found out that this was the female lead's first ever acting role? If so, she's doing fantastic. You'd have never guessed. She was so adorable and her acting was up to par. Great drama overall and what a wonderful pairing.
I havent watched a Chinese drama in a long time and I watched the entirety of this in a few days. Ending felt a bit underwhelming but the rest of the drama was very enjoyable.
I’ve only seen Oh Yeon Seo in A Korean Odyssey and I wasn’t impressed. Maybe it was the character and not…
She was great in Come Back Mister! One of my fave dramas. I too saw A Korean Odyssey and sadly wasn’t taken by her acting there. I don’t know if it was the role but it came off a bit stiff and unnatural. I didn’t like the drama in general anyway and unfortunately dropped that halfway.
But her character in Come Back Mister seem more right up her street. That’s why its even more disappointing because I was really looking forward to seeing her after watching that.
Wow... what a hidden gem of a show. As bad as it sounds but I decided to watch this because of lack of shows to watch. Wasn’t expecting much but here we are at almost three in the morning and at episode 11...Just when I thought a show couldn’t make me guess what happens anymore after each episode, this one comes along and does just that. In fact, its so good so far that my sister (who tends to not share a lot of my drama faves) was the one to tell me to keep watching.
Everyone here is well suited for their roles and the characters themselves are so multi-faceted. Im amazed at how evened out the screentime for everyone is. Such a well laid out, solid storyline so far.

I read that they'd make a movie version but it has been quiet ever since. I wonder if they cancelled it?
