Wow, I'm yet to watch the sequel but what a phenomenal performance by the leads! I'm floored by Haha He's performance and by the growth of her character. She totally pulled off this role. Great performance by the other casts. This is very underrated. The directing, music, and character growth and depth not only by the main leads but also for the villains are some of the most brilliantly well done and captivating performances out there.
Not perfect (I have reservations and confusion by the overall purpose of how things happened) but this drama really kept me watching until the end. Plus that BTS at the last episode made things even more emotional and poignant. Again, an example of just how much work and endurance goes behind the scenes.
Oh wow! I didn't think this would be so good! I'm loving the powerful female lead and the way the story and characters are laid out. Everything builds up from the previous scene to the next and the climax is satisfying every time. I'm currently on the 17th episode so I would love to see it continue being so gratifying. I get so hyped and excited whenever the female lead shows her amazing power. Plus, she is truly adorable and so natural, thankfully she doesn't come across as one of those cute but actually annoying characters that I normally see from this type of dramas.
And more than the romance, I am loving how the bigger plot is smoothly woven into the story so everything has more substance.
Me here crying cuz I wanna watch this drama, but I’m still waiting for it to be completed cuz I can’t handle…
It’s actually good you haven’t started yet and yes, but still try to hold off going to sites which can spoil the story for you, It will make watching this a thousand times better.
I really liked the symbolism of the watch protecting Cheon Joong from the bullet. This is the very essence of the idea of what he wanted for Hung Seon to adopt. Opening up to other countries could have been their weapon and protection against the very same foreigners they try so hard to fight.
“Yes they ran out of money because the investors pulled their funding halfway through filming and they were…
That is such a shame. Especially as the comments mostly point to being let down by the last few episodes. It would have been fair enough if it was solely due to the decline in quality of the writing/directing but if it's for that reason, I can only think about the wasted potential.
I'm still going to give this a try so fingers crossed.
Was the conclusion satisfying? Seems like this has been a great drama up until a certain episode. And where are people watching this with English subs? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
It's highly unlikely, at the moment. As I'm sure you heard the director left MBC. I just suddenly remembered about this drama, really enjoyed watching it so hopefully the season 3 could happen somehow.
Ahh I really love that we pretty much get 2 episodes under the guise of the 12 episode format. The story progression is more cohesive and in essence, it actually equals to a 16 episode long drama if not more. And if the one week episode means quality work, Im all for it. Im just thankful Im watching it after it’s finished airing.
Ahh yes! Honestly, plot-wise it isn’t the best. They were capable of doing things without the cliche tropes so that was disappointing. Otherwise, the characters are really the strength and are the main draw of this drama. Plus, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a kdrama use sound effects/music (not just osts) effectively in the scenes. The impact of each scene is different with those effects and cinematography too.

I'm so glad I watched this.

And I loved Just Between Lovers too.
I'm still going to give this a try so fingers crossed.
