I really tried to like this drama, but unfortunately, the story just doesn't deliver. It's far too melodramatic, which is disappointing because the plot had so much potential. The biggest issue is that the story lacks coherence, and the characters don't receive the development they deserve.
Another thing that doesn't help many C-dramas is the long delay between filming and airing due to the approval process. By the time the drama is finally released, you can clearly see the actors at a different stage in their careers and personal growth, which can make the production feel dated.
Overall, this drama had an interesting premise, but the execution simply didn't live up to its potential.

He is a good actor, so dont twist a sentence it is annoying that lately you have to justify what you think with everyone. and dont call me rude because you dont know me > great actor, great show and this formula is truly working and love it.. That said, while I'm really enjoying this drama, I don't think the male lead gives off the same "bad boy" vibe as Li Xun or the leads from the other shows. He has the troubled past and the emotional baggage, but he doesn't have that intimidating, rebellious aura that made those other characters so unforgettable.
To me, he feels more like a wounded guy than a true bad boy. He's emotionally troubled with a reason, but he lacks the confidence, edge, and unpredictability that made Li Xun such an iconic character. I'm still enjoying the story, but the male lead doesn't quite have that same magnetic presence which works for this drama. It is also nice see how many actor are changing their presence in dramas. Not pertaining the same stereotypical characters, so good for him
