She was defending YCX against the Japanese with clear, convincing arguments, and now she suddenly believes he started the fire? How does that fit with everything she was saying before?
I feel like the writers undermined YPJ’s character development in this episode. Her reasoning lacked consistency, and her decision to leave with JXT—who has repeatedly proven himself to be an absolute disgrace—made it even more frustrating. She can question YCX, but her conclusions still need to make sense based on what she knows and has experienced.
It’s disappointing that they chose to close the arc before the memory loss with such a poorly connected plot. This should have been an emotionally powerful turning point, but instead, it felt like they forced the characters into decisions simply to move the story forward. I understand that having feelings for someone can cloud your judgment, but she seems so calculating with the ML while giving JXT a pass. She doesn’t have to stop caring about him overnight, but she can still acknowledge that he was wrong. Hopefully, this phase of her defending JXT and feeling sad over him passes quickly, because watching someone so perceptive make excuses for him is getting frustrating!
