Great cast wasted by a poorly written story :(

Watched for ML (Yi Cheng), but the storyline is a total mess

PLOT:
During a humanitarian mission (where??? a remote part of China, at war???), ML, a pharmacology researcher and heir to a large corporation, meets FL, a heart surgeon.
During multiple dangerous situations (life and death), they grow closer and fall in love. But ML's complicated family situation (toxic mother and hateful half-brother) will hinder their future.

PROS:
+ Very good actors who try to make the story believable.

CONS:
- Incoherent storyline, with over-the-top characters (the mothers are detestable in this series) and absurd behavior.
- ML, in fragile health, is injured 3-4 times, but still survives...
- CL2 doesn't work for me.

=> Drama that becomes barely bearable only in the last part. Alas !!

Pr le ML (Yi Cheng) mais storyline total mess

PLOT:
Lors d'une mission humanitaire (où ??? partie reculée de la Chine, en guerre ???), le ML, chercheur en pharmacologie et héritier d'un grand groupe, rencontre la FL, chirurgien cardiaque.
Au cours de multiples situations dangereuses (life and death), ils vont se rapproche et tomber amoureux. Mais la situation familiale du ML compliquée (mère toxique et demi-frère hate-love) va faire obstacle à leur avenir.

PROS:
+ de très bons acteurs qui tentent de rendre la story crédible.

CONS:
- storyline incohérente, avec personnages excessifs (les mères sont détestables dans cette série) et des comportements absurdes.
- le ML, de santé fragile, est blessé à 3-4 reprises, mais survit...
- le CL2 ne tient pas la route.

=> Drama qui devient à peine supportable sur la dernière partie. Dommage !!

Very addictive series with a good mix of Romance and Action.

CAUTION: No more English subs from episode 14 :(

The FL, an orphan adopted into a wealthy clan because she has visions of danger, becomes the "in-name only" wife of the group's heir, the ML (she must remain a virgin to retain her power... LOL). She will help him escape those who want to kill him (cousin, neglected branch of the clan, business competitors, etc.)

+++ An excellent CL, with great chemistry (James Ma & Pie)
+++ Good supporting actors, especially the Great Villain, who is as crazy as can be

A cute & good old-school romance

PLOT: A century-old curse strikes the heir of a great family: his first wife dies on her wedding night. The heir (the ML) must enter into an arranged marriage with a rich & arrogant woman (FL2), but her mother, knowing the risk, decides to use a doppelganger (the FL),planning to replace the replacement with her daughter later. But a (nice) ghost won't let her repeat what she did 100 years earlier.

+++ Very good actors: Lee Hong Ki and Yang Jin Sung (playing both roles) as CL. The other actors are also very convincing, especially the villains, whom we strongly dislike. Jung Hae In, as a young man, is so cute (•ө•)♡ (•ө•)♡

### Timeline a little confusing at times
### FL's characters—kind, caring, courageous, and so naive that she's almost stupid, a fact too common in dramas—convey a poor image of feminine ideals.

PLOT: Une malédiction centenaire frappe l'héritier d'1 gde famille : sa 1e femme meurt le soir de ses noces. L'héritier (le ML) doit faire 1 mariage arrangé avec 1 peste (FL2), mais sa mère connaissant le risque, décide d'utiliser un sosie (la FL), qu'elle remplacera ensuite par sa fille. Mais un fantôme (sympa) ne la laissera recommencer ce qu'elle a fait 100 ans + tôt.

Good story, but without soul ...

PLOT: The FL, a jewelry merchant, falls off a cliff while fleeing the "bandits" who killed her entire family. She is saved by the ML (a brilliant, poor scholar), who is also her crush. But when she wakes up, she has amnesia and must hide from the people who want to kill her (in connection with the death of the ML's mentor, who was wrongly accused). The ML then decides to pass her off as his sister, and they settle in the capital, set up a "women's house," investigate, etc.

+++ Good CL: I like Wang Zi Qi even when he paly a cold ML. Lu Yu Xiao is also an actress who play naturally.
Many reviewers have ML2 syndrome. Not me at all! The actor is good, certainly, but his character is immature, lacking depth, and lacking responsibility.
### The siblings' plot lasts too long (really, really too long) :( [until episode 23]
+++ A CL 2 (Prince Rui & his consort) that gets us out of the boredom. Very good dynamic!
+++ Good OSTs
+++ Carefully produced, with good use of a limited budget.

### The second part drags on. The series should have been shortened by at least 5-6 episodes.
### I know the two leads are reasonable characters, but their romance clearly lacks passion (even the ending :( )

Cute romance (full of clichés)

PLOT: The female lead (kind, hardworking, sly) has a secret office romance with a colleague, until the day she realizes he's cheating on her. She goes to a bar to get drunk with a stranger (the male lead), only to discover the next day that he's her new boss, that she have married him, and that he's determined to make this marriage work.

+++ Very well acted (in a very Japanese style) with a magnificent ML (but the female lead must have had a sore neck during filming, because she looks like a dwarf next to him :)

How to waste a good story !

I really like the story and the original C-Drama. So I went to see what the Thai directors had done with it. But what a disappointment!

Sorry, I didn't like this version at all; the C-Drama is so much better!!

The actors are handsome, sure, but they're NOT AT ALL convincing. Everything is superficial (including the fake kisses). The characters have no depth. And the bias of this version, with ML. unabble to say a word in his defense or to justify an absence/mistake/etc., is unbearable...

Just an advice to those who like the story: go to watch the original C-Drama!!

PLOT: The FL, a courtesan, escapes from the brothel by becoming an informant (and helping to solve the case) for the local magistrate (ML2). She ends up becoming a constable in his team. She meets the ML (a wealthy, spoiled, and carefree young nobleman) whom her father sent away to mature. He falls in love at first sight, but the FL & ML2 (engaged to the daughter of a governor) have developed feelings over the course of their investigations. In addition, a powerful and twisted character (Qin Yi) has long had his sights set on the FL... They'll all be caught in a whirlwind of plots, twists, and power struggles.

+++ A very good CL, endearing.
+++ A talented cast (including the Great Villain, who is as perverse and twisted as you can get).
+++ Superb production, with realistic costumes, sets, hairstyles, behaviors, etc.
+++ OSTs very well suited to the emotions conveyed.

Il a le coup de foudre, mais la FL & le ML2 (fiancé à la fille d'1 gouverneur) ont dvlpé des sentiments au fil des enquêtes. De +, 1 puissant (Qin Yi) tordu a des vues depuis longtps sur la FL ... Ils vont ts être pris ds 1 tornade de complots, twists, ... ds les luttes de pouvoir.

Could have been a good series with a longer format

PLOT: The FL, a new consort of the Young Master (ML), is sent to the Ancestors' Hall as soon as her husband leaves for war (a schemes ploted by her jealous, evil sister-in-law). Five years later, she returns to the Manor to obtain the precious Lei Pill, the only one abble to cure her sick son. She makes a pact with the ML: she helps him become the Young Prefect, and he gets her the pill.
+++ Convincing main leads, the actors are good and do their everything to bring this story to life.
+++ Quick-paced production (too quick, which doesn't allow for depth to the characters) with interesting effects.
+++ Good OSTs

### Low-budget series (and it's obvious in the sets, costumes, etc.)
### The plots are a bit to obvious (it almost feels like a short-length series). The director wanted a compact format for a long story with multiple twists, which makes for a strange "summary."

=> Meh, despite an excellent cast.

Rom-Fam with Uee & Ha Joon

PLOT: The FL, a sports coach, carries her entire family (mother, three brothers) on her shoulders. She leads the sessions of the ML (a chaebol's grandson who recently returned to Korea to find his missing grandmother). The company has been taken over by the uncle, aunt, and cousin following some shady dealings (murders?), and they have no intention of handing over the group.

+++ The CL = Uee & Ha Joon
+++ Go Joo Won is excellent in ML2

### The description of the families, all toxic, is damning. Some characters (FL's mother, ML's aunt, etc.) are detestable. Both deserved psychiatric treatment :(
### Lots of pointless scenes and characters (ridiculous landlord, neighbor, etc.). It slows down the story.
### The final story arc (father's return & liver transplant) is ridiculous, and the last episodes with the LF escaping for a year are even worse and incoherent, which ruins the ending.

=> Without the last episodes, I would have had a better feeling because I really like the main leads. It's still a relatively good family drama.

La Cie a été reprise en main par l'oncle, la tante et le cousin, à la suite de magouilles (meurtres ?) et ils n'ont pas l'intention de céder le gpe.

### La description des familles, toutes toxiques, est accablante. Certains personnages ( FL's mother, ML's aunt, ...) sont détestables. Les 2 auraient mérité des traitements psychiatriques :(
### Bcp de scènes et de personnages inutiles (propriétaire ridicule, voisin, etc.). Cela ralentit la narration.
### Dernier arc narratif (retour du père & greffe de foie) ridicule et l'arc des derniers épisodes avec fuite de la FL pdt 1 an encore pire et incohérent, ce qui gâche la ending.

=> Sans les derniers épisodes, j'aurai eu un meilleur ressenti parce que j'aime bcp les main leads. Cela reste un relativement bon drama familial.

PLOT:
FL = daughter of a poor family of dry cleaners, almost blind, ML = stepson of a large corporation president, grandson of a loan shark magnate.
FL sleeps with ML, a college classmate, to experiment it before losing her sight. Years later, FL's family accidentally discovers a huge sum of (dirty) money stolen from ML's mother. They take advantage of this to cure FL's blindness, and hide the rest under their grandparents' mattress. Everyone will gradually be corrupted by this money... The President's abandoned son, taken in by FL's family, finds his place with his father after this one fires ML and his mother (his ex-wife).

+++ Lots of very good actors
+++ Lively direction / OSTs that set the tone :)
+++ A dark, caustic comedy, dealing with human greed (the ML's mother is a terrible example).

### Series with some lengths (especially the middle)

=> Good series, more family-oriented than romantic (even though there are two romances), quite caustic.

FL = fille d'1 famille pauvre de teinturiers, presque aveugle,ML = fils adoptif d'1 Président de gd groupe, petit fils d'1 magnat des prêts usuraires.
La FL couche avec le ML, camarade de fac, pr expérimenter avant de perdre la vue. Des années + tard, la famille de la FL découvre par hasard, une énorme somme d'argent (sale), volée à la mère du ML. Ils en profitent pr faire opérer la FL, et cache le reste ss le matelas des gds-parents. Chacun va peu à peu se faire corrompre par cet argent ... Le fils abandonné du Président, accueilli par la famille de la FL, retrouve sa place auprès de son père après que celui-ci ait viré le ML et sa mère (son ex femme).
+++ Bcp de très bons acteurs
+++ Réalis° vive / OSTs qui donnent le ton :)
+++ Comédie grinçante, caustique, traitant de la cupidité humaine (la mère du ML en est un exemple terrible).

Superb Xianxia with Tiffany Tang and Liu Xue Yi, perfect!

PLOT: The FL, goddess of craftsmanship and inventor of the supreme weapon (the left hand), refuses to kill the ML, a high priest of a sect, to recover the Left Hand he carries. She therefore negotiates to descend among mortals to prevent him from becoming a demon and recover the Hand at the end of his mortal life. But the ML is exploited and threatened by multiple enemies (especially a "vengeful" goddess) who plots to reclaim the Hand as quickly as possible.

+++ Really great actors, all of them: main leads (awesome), gods, demons, humans, kids, etc. The characters are endearing and well-developed.
+++ Coherent, well-written story, on the theme "no one is a saint, everyone has the right to hold grudges/grievances."
+++ Lively direction, without dragging, with excellent OSTs, sets, costumes, CGI, fight scenes, etc.

=> It's flawless, addictive, gripping... definitely worth watching again to savor the magnificent performances of Tiffany Tang and Liu Xue Yi.

PLOT: La FL, déesse de l'artisanat et inventrice de l'arme suprême (main gauche) refuse de tuer le ML, gd prêtre d'1 secte , pr récupérer la Main Gauche qu'il porte. Elle négocie donc de descendre chez les mortels pr l'empêcher de devenir 1 démon et récupérer la Main à la fin de sa vie mortelle. Mais le ML est exploité, menacé par de multiples ennemis (en particulier une déesse "vengeresse" qui complote pr récupérer la Main au plus vite.

For the pleasure of watching this great couple again :)

PLOT: The FL and the ML have been traveling between several universes since S1. For this S3, they find themselves in the S1 kingdom, but it is matriarchal. She is the second princess (niece of a "twin" empress) and he is the eighth son of the Mo family (who helped build the kingdom, but lost his power - his father wants to overthrow the throne). They try to return to their universe, but must face love rivals (especially the empress's plans).

+++ Awesome CL with Liang Jie & Xing Zhao Lin, with very natural chemistry and lots of kisses.
+++ Very good actors (great cast)
+++ Excellent production, fast-paced, with meticulous cinematography (images, sets, costumes, fight scenes & choreography)
+++ Well-adapted OSTs.

Elle est la 2nde princesse (nièce d'1 impératrice "jumelle") et lui est le 8e fils de la famille Mo (a aidé à construire le royaume, mais a perdu de son pouvoir -père qui veut renverser le trône). Ils essaient de retourner ds leur univers, mais doivent affronter les rivaux amoureux (en particulier, les plans de l'impératrice).

+++ CL TOP avec Liang Jie & Xing Zhao Lin, avec alchimie très naturelle et bcp de kisses.
+++ Très bons acteurs (great cast)

Intriguing plot & prettty dark story, with excellent acting

PLOT: The ML, a great chef, is disturbed by the emotions he feels from the FL, just as he was with his twin sister, who disappeared 18 years ago. He returns to his hometown (where the FL lives) to open his restaurant and solve the mysteries of the past. An ex-couple, now colleagues in the local police force, is also investigating a series of assaults/murders.

### Lots of clichés: a weak female protagonist venturing alone into a creepy place in the middle of the night => why not call the police? Too reassuring? Doesn't anyone get the surveillance cameras fixed?

=> A good series, well done, but I'll not rewatch it cause of the heavy atmosphere.

Plot intrigant & story pesante, avec très bons acteurs

PLOT: Le ML, great chef cuisinier est perturbé par les émotions qu'il ressent de la FL, comme il le faisait avec sa sœur jumelle, disparue il y a 18 ans. Il retourne ds sa ville natale (où vit la FL) pr créer son restaurant et résoudre les mystères du passé. Un ex-couple, devenu collègues ds la police locale, enquête également sur une série d'agressions/meurtres.

+++ Excellents acteurs, aussi bien les 2 leads (Yeo Jin Goo & Mun Ka Young) que les acteurs de soutien (Shin Jae Hwi fait un cinglé très crédible).

### Bcp de clichés : FL faible qui s'aventure seule dans un endroit flippant en pleine nuit => pourquoi ne pas appeler la police ? trop rassurant ? Personne ne fait réparer les caméras de surveillance ?

=> Je l'ai vu une fois (pour les leads) mais l'histoire est tellement pesante que je ne pense pas la regarder à nouveau.

PLOT: la FL, productrice de TV shows traumatisée par la mort de son fiancé des années + tôt, vient emménager dans la maison du ML, fonctionnaire zélé, ex-réalisateur TV et veuf pourvu d'1 gde famille dysfonctionnelle. ML & FL vont peu à peu découvrir les liens tissés par leur vécu traumatisant et en guérir, avant de pouvoir envisager leur avenir.
