On Are You Human? Feb 27, 2025
Whoever says it’s bad is WRONG it is soooo good!!
Only thing I didn’t like as much was the last 2 eps… not a fan of some of the writing choices there, they could have done better.

Title The Double
Why would you fade away from the kiss of your main couple and barely have any scenes of them after they “get together” ??
The story was nice, the leads had chemistry and the build up of the romance was good (that rain scene especially oooof) but they failed to deliver after that on the romance side imo.

Title Revenge of Others Spoiler
Don’t have a main issue with the female lead I just find it funny how ready she was to kill everyone she believed killed her brother to get justice but then also immediately believed when someone told her her brother was a bad person
Girl…. do you have no faith in your brother or do you just immediately believe whatever anyone tells you, even if it comes from the shadiest character in the show you up to that point believed was behind his murder like!?!?!?!

I also find it such a safe outcome to have the second guy that killed her brother be like “actually he was a good guy all along he just has an evil second personality that was manipulated by the other bad guy to kill the brother” like they did not even have the guts to make a true twist villain

1 characters meeeh
2 relationships/ friendships meeeh
3 murder mystery very simple.. Not much going on
4 police incompetent, fml doesn’t do much either
5 the culprit.. Easy to piece together tbh

Overall an easy watch to pass time with that plays it safe in it’s execution… nothing to write home about but not bad either

Rewatching this reminded me why I love this drama so much
Seriously romance 10/10 , characters 10/10, comedy 10/10, story nothing crazy but still entertaining …
That ending was so annoying to me when I first watched it but upon rewatch I do kind of appreciate they went that far….still frustrating tho

youre so spot on. i agree, and i think most of the hate comments are people who think theyre so cool and contrarian…
Yeah I don’t get the hate especially here?? Like why is it that every basic kdrama with the same formula gets it’s high scores and praises but a show like this that is actually GOOD gets to be review bombed??
Nevermind people acting as if s1 was this profound masterpiece when it was a pretty standard death game show with high quality production..

Season 1 stressed me out! And I wanted to tap out at some point as I got tired. Season 2 is really fun and easier…
That’s what I’m talking about s2 is more fun to watch and the plot is more interesting as well!!! Once s1 finished I was done with squid game and I would also be bored to rewatch it (I mean did watch some reaction videos to rehash my memory on s1 but that’s all)
On Squid Game Season 2 Jan 6, 2025
I will spread my s2 agenda and since I see a lot of people comparing it with s1 I will do too. Cause imo S2 IS BETTER THAN S1 because:
1) It has more likeable characters, and their acting is even better.
In S1 sae Byeok and Ali aside I did not care for anyone else, this time around I wish for at least 5-6 to survive
Also the bad guys were very annoying, this time around they are more fun
2) 001 being the frontman is better than the grandpa from last season. First of all he is an amazing actor, he works amazingly as a villain and his dynamic with the protagonist is way more interesting. Grandpa works fine as a twist villain for the end but after you know who he is, his previous scenes do not work on rewatch, cause f* that guy I do not feel bad or endeared to him.
3) It is less boring and more entertaining throughout.. The in between games moments in s1 felt tedious at times to get through since the show was more so about the games than anything else. This time around the story works on a bigger scale and my investment is bigger in everything that is going on.. Plus as I said before I like the characters better so I’m having more fun with their scenes and everything.
4) Gong yoo hello??? Knocked his 20 minutes out of the park and left a very strong impact on the season. As I said the actors this season killed it!!!

And to respond to the s2 criticisms I heard:
1) Yes s1 games were really good, but the 2 games they showed so far were also good… so I don’t get complaining about the games plus there are more to come
2) About s1 being “more impactful” and “more emotional” well maybe to you who was super invested to all the first characters. Tbh I only remember sae byeok’s death hitting me really hard.. The marbles game was sad as well but I was not that emotional over it, maybe that was just me. Also I don’t know about you but I want the characters I like to actually survive so why would I complain about them not dying….
3) About it being “boring” and “a rehash of s1” I don’t know what show those people were watching cause I don’t understand that at all. They did so much to switch it up?? Also outside of ep2 maybe that was mostly built up or ep 5 that had a lot in between game moments, boring where????
4) About the cliffhanger ending… How does that make the entire season bad??? And it’s not even a bad cliffhanger, the last ep was good and the next season is half a year away.. Is this people’s first time watching a season end with a cliffhanger and is their patience that small??
5) Yes we need the next part to come and conclude all the storylines but what we have so far is good, so I don’t get calling the season “pointless” and “a set up where nothing happened”
Also when I see clickbaits like “was s2 worth all the wait??” I’m a bit ??? I thought most of the world had moved on from s1 myself included. I was not waiting on anything, tbh I was even opposed to the idea of s2 thinking that it would be pointless and what more there was to see…But s2 was a nice surprise and now I’m actually more invested than I ever was in squid game… So yes s2 superiority.

I’ll never understand why some people ship Gi-hun and In-ho. It seems like some individuals ship any pair just…
It’s not that serious

Title Squid Game Season 2 Spoiler
The director had less time writing this season, so he didn't know how to tell us stuff that happened in the 3…
I also felt that way about the exposition scenes like they were directly telling us things… but I also didn’t mind it that much.
And while I agree that Ali and that girl were iconic…they were also like the only ones I actually cared about in that season to survive. This time around even if they have less screen time I root and care for waaay more characters.
I didn’t feel “overcrowded” by the amount of characters although I do wish we could have seen more of some of them like the first girl that died, the girl that was killed in the last fight and thanos too.

That plan was stupid and was bound to fail we were watching a doomed mission from the start and I guess that is what left a lot of people dissatisfied… But even so I do not understand the mentality of writing off the entire season because of it???
Idk the cliffhanger was not even that bad to me especially when we know the next part is coming in 2025…
On Squid Game Season 2 Dec 30, 2024
As someone that DID NOT want a s2 when they left s1 with a cliffhanger…. S2 is actually better idk why I see so much negativity around it…. S1 while yes it was shocking and had some very emotional scenes and creative games, it was not perfect!!!! honestly it had boring moments and some really annoying characters too..
Whereas this season was more fun to watch for me and I find myself way more invested with this cast of characters… I really do wish for them to survive 🥲
And the ending??? Is it your first time watching a cliffhanger ending?? It really is not that bad especially when the next season is right around the corner. It was clearly filmed as a two parter…

An enjoyable watch!! The romance between the leads was good, they were so cute!
And I actually liked how explicit it was… kinda refreshing for me coming from your everyday kdramas. Only thing I did not enjoy was the student teacher romance both the brother with the girl and the psychologist with the other student… but it’s to be expected I guess… I looked past it.
Anyway I don’t get why so many in here seem to dislike it but to each their own

Title The Heirs
Half way through… honestly it’s not as bad as many make it out to be. It has its cliches and it can be boring but watching this after boys over flowers it is waaay better.
And the cast?? So many well known actors with the biggest surprise for me being hyung-sik
My fave characters so far are:
Kim Tan.. I do not get any slander I see, he really be doing the most for the main girl in a way that makes you go “why won’t someone do that for me”
And the main girls friend (don’t remember his name), he and his girlfriend are one of the most fun aspects of the drama

On another note, the ml’s brother is suuuuper annoying..all this hostility and for what?? It is inexcusable so far
And sorry to you Woobin girlies I do not see the appeal at all!!! I get that maybe he makes things more interesting for you in the story by inciting the drama… but honestly he has been nothing but mean and most offensively for me annoying… It does not make sense why he would start liking the main girl (honestly she doesn’t do much at all), I would find it way more believable if he fell for Rachel… theres legit nothing to make you wanna root for him. I’m sure he’s gonna get his redemption and become a better person.. but what I said does not change with that.

In the notes books, did jeha find the book as well? Or did they change it in the show?
Only in the show jeha finds it… in the notes I think Jin finds it (I think not sure… or maybe all together)

Title Begins Youth Spoiler
I don't understand the ending. Can someone please tell me what kind of time loop happen and who was in the time…
Hwan is the one that the voice spoke to and he went back in time and the show ended at the beginning of the time loop of him trying to save his friends. Jeha is the one that found the notebook of the person that died in the previous episodes that contains written a lot of timelines about the previous people (that included hwans and Joan’s dad and ceins mom) failed attempts in a previous time loop to save each other. It also contained information about the boys which we do not know much about the logistics of that, it is a mystery. So he was clued in some of the time looping stuff although we don’t know how much of it he actually understood. The ep ended with him committing suicide by jumping off the high platform.
