Interesting for me1) Haru's family is the worst. They try to be the "good parents" that care/protect their child…
I don’t think it was ever explained exactly but he does have some type of mental disorder that was created after the incident. We see him have episodes where he is distressed and hears voices among other things
I just realized, the title of this drama is "Begins ≠ Youth" and the title of Ep 12 is "Begins ∞ Youth" with…
I’m sure they will have some type of time travel but I worry they will change stuff in the last eps…. Cause if they didn’t plan to make more afterwards how are they gonna wrap the show up?

I get it! For me personally those things are his business not something he did to directly harm his son (tho of course he will also be affected) that’s why I didn’t count it as much… I liked what they did with jooan and his father it gives him more depth, tho it doesn’t change his situation nor my opinion on the dad. Yes our boys deserve ❤️
The boys' families are horrible and if I have to rank them:1. I really hate Hwan's father for controlling and…
Interesting for me 1) Haru's family is the worst. They try to be the "good parents" that care/protect their child but fail so miserably they make him muuuch worse. They constantly emotionally neglect him, guilt trip him about causing them trouble as if he is not the one suffering the most but they are, blame him for his illness (the brother at least) and shame him for being in the family by hiding it from everyone. Yet they think they are in the right and that he is the ungreatfull one?
2) The show did made Jooan's father a bit more sympathetic but lets not forget he beats him fairly regullary to the point of him being deaf in one ear?! That is unreversable damage you can't come back from. He is also never there as a parent when he needs him (graduation, police) .... they live in a mess of a house in which I assume Jooan is the only one doing housekeeping.
3) Hosu's mother really left him and not even in a orphanage but in the middle of the street?? that is extra levels of evil.
4) Hwans father that cares more about his career than his son. Doesn't seem to have ever attempted to connect on a personal level with him but is set to groom him to succeed him. Costantly controls him and he is too afraid to go against him. He even made his minor son drunk for an outing. Not to mention he threw away everything that has to do with his mother... yea not good
5) Jeha's family... Stepfather is very strict and can be abusive. The mother seems to care about him but she also lets him get abused by his stepfather. Stepbrother is annoying and a bully but with a father like that what do you expect him to turn out? All around a very toxic enviroment.
6) Doogeon's family letting him burden all the responsibilities of the family when he is but a child himself not even out of high school. Instead of wanting him to study for his future they prefer him to give it all up and live for their sake... unfurtunate but not that uncommon.
7) Cein with a depressed mother that took her own life (at least from what we know so far) and a father he is not close to that works away from home and only comes in the weekends. He is basicaly left to fend for himself.
I guess the story is different from hyyh, even now in ep 8 there is no clue that hwan is a time traveler, but…
The time travel happens after jin leaves for the us for like two years and he returns and the boys are split up and out of high school (except jungkook from what I remember)
I also thought that the mysterious guy is hwan from the future but I don’t think that’s how time travel works in that universe…. Cause he is in a time loop where he wakes up before things happen… it’s not like there are two of them that exist at the same time. Also the lighter that the guy with the cap has is one hwan’s father is shown to have
I just realised! Haru imaginary friend being himself in the mirror reminded me of the bs&tears japanese mv (I think?) where you have a scene of 2 Jimins appear together
I saw that 'spoiler' about Cein and I just want to know whether that makes sense in the context of the story they're…
Honestly I'm waiting on more clarication on that scene too it cut away! But I am guessing that the jeha injury will also be used as a reason to expel Cien... Anyway I don't wonna spoil you too much on that... watch the eps they are very good!! And very emotional... be prepared lol
I saw that 'spoiler' about Cein and I just want to know whether that makes sense in the context of the story they're…
Well Cien went to hit the stepbrother with a brick and jeha stoped him then the scene cut away and when it cut into it again jeha was on the floor and the brick was bloody. The ep ended after so we don't know exactly what happened and we'll have to see the next eps for the conclusion but I don't doupt it will make sense
looks like they have changed some things from the bu.... Cein will get expelled not by hitting the principal but by hitting the stepbrother and Jeha with a brick from what I understood?? And in the last scene what did Cien know about Hwan/principal? That he is giving him test answers? but I thought that happened one time before and he refused?? I am a bit confused on that...
From what I know, BigHit/Hybe owns the storyline, but since they don't produce/manage dramas, they gave the rights…
Thank you for the detailed explanation tho I think we can still agree that giving it to that distribution company that essentially made it inaccessible to everyone was the wrong move and such a waste of all the hard work they did to make this happen
it's so dissapoinding... Why couldn't they release this on a normal platform like viki or promote it at all??? A lot of army's don't even know it came out let alone others
KSH and Kim jiwon were the stars and raised this otherwise simple drama to an amazing one. They deserve all the praise! They sold me on their romance, they really made me feel and care about he-in and they also made me cry a lot and for that it is 9/10 for me despite the things I didn’t like about the plot progression and other side plots that were either ok or boring.
Ok some thoughts on the last 2 eps: -That hospital should be sued for malpractice, the director letting a person do whatever he wants for some money, the doctor must not care either about his patient who he just performed miracle surgery to leave them like that lol… at least those nurses worked EXTRA hard to get that notebook back I guess -This family… they really just left he-in all alone for an ENTIRE month with eunsong of all people (?!?!) and then acted surprised when she came back manipulated by him against them..what did they expect to happen?? You can’t tell me k drama how much they love and care for he-in and in the same breath have them do this. -Convenient how in he-in’s internet search she found nothing about the moment she announced her illness and outed Eunsong for threatening her and ruining her family… I would imagine that to have been VERY viral news -I gotta give it to the writers the amount of kdrama clichés they managed to put in those last 3 eps is commendable. They really had hyunwoo get hit by a car and being shot IN THE SAME EP lmaooo -The housekeeper lady is so boring… She and Eunsong’s ridiculous plans that always seem to work (like the car accident again in ep15) are the worst part of the show to me. So she was behind the boat accident… makes sense I do wonder tho why she never tried to murder he-in or the other son all those years if she wanted chairman’s grandchildren dead.
-the ending I liked! It reminded me of the ending of fruits basket (the anime) with the family pictures and the protagonists growing old together…although a sadder version with showing he-in dying first. But still it was a happy ending. I also loved how they brought back their marriage issues from the start of the show when it came to them getting remarried.
I know what you’re feeling but we have to remember the reality of common sense don’t exist in kdrama world…
Why couldn’t it tho??? I’m not saying I’m not enjoying kdramas as they are but I’m sure they can create just as compelling stories without us having to constantly lower our standards and realism expectations.
I liked what they did with jooan and his father it gives him more depth, tho it doesn’t change his situation nor my opinion on the dad.
